Dr. Rami S Owera, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Owera for almost 2 years. I have stage 4 colon cancer that has met to liver. He is most compassionate with treating me and has put up with all my querks in what meds I can take. I am very confident in his ability to treat my disease and take great care of me. At the beginning when this cancer came back with a vengeance he only gave me 3-6 months to live and it has been 1 year. I can tell he cares about me as a person. Most of my problems have been with my insurance company getting the pre approvals for different procedures that Dr. Owera has ordered.

I'm a 18year cancer survivor 60 years old. Have been through 6 relapses. Over and over chemo and radiation treatment my spleen has scar tissue from radiation and hurts bad Dr Owera (who's a pain mgmnt Dr also) refused to treat me for my pain and my cancer Said I had no need for him to write pain meds as I am currently in remission He the walked out of the room I've never seen such a heartless egotistical Dr in my entire life. Shows no compassion even after telling me "my cancer is the type that will never go away" and then refusing to treat me and no other oncologist at thier practice will either! Unethical??? JUST A BIT I THINK
