Took no history, asked no questions, put me on one drug that had not worked for me previously and didn't care my blood pressure was over 200. Thanks. Had 3 group sessions and all involved coloring. One had music. Not so effective. Arrogant.

Dr. Alvarez was my first Doctor to diagnose me with anxiety and panic disorder. Since he has left Dreyer I have seen 3 different doctors that have changed my meds, changed doses.. I am going to take the drive to Berwyn because he had been the only Doctor to understand me and actually help with my anxiety and panic attacks.

I was under Dr Alvarez care for approximately 12 years. In that time he had me on a medication that was only meant for 6 weeks of use. He said it was safe. I am now disabled from central nervous system damage. I cannot work, drive or make life decisions for myself. My life has been ruined. I was a productive member of society, I had a job, I had relationships, enough money to take care of myself, it’s all gone.... do not trust this man.

took care of me when I was admitted for alcohol issues. He was not judgmental and he explained the disease process of addiction. He gave me hope that I will get better

Dr Alvarez Diagnosed my condition after having been misdiagnosed for yrs.It took him about 3 months to find the right combination of medications but he would not give up on me - he told me the first day we met - "I promise to do everything I can for you. He returns call very quickly (within the hour)and I speak with him not a nurse. Im glad he is my Doctor

He didn't help me at all. He is arrogant and talks down to you. He does not spend much time with you when he sees you and he doesn't listen.

I find Dr. Alvarez to be very professional, intelligent, and methodical.

He is very condescending with patients. When you call him afterhours he has an attiude about him like why are you bothering me? There is known documentation proving that he slanders patients who complain about him and he does so in their medical records. Acts disinterested with patients he doesn't like. I'm disappointed I wasted so much time with this person. Doesn't take his job seriously at all.

My daughter has been seeing a Therapist at Dreyer for sometime now who referred her to this dr. because he supposedly specialized in what she was being diagnosed with. He kept calling her by the wrong name and diagnosed her as being depressed (not the diagnosis of the therapist who has been seeing her for a long time and who had sent all of her notes prior to this dr.) and gave her more prozac, which has not helped for the past 6 months.She has some extremely frightening symptoms, thoughts, etc and he didn't seem interested in helping with any of those.
