A45 second eval and mis diagnosed. 46 hours after a visit to the Malbis location I was in foreign county being diagnosed with MRSA. After an agonizing week with a raging infection the local doctor recommended going back Stateside for immediate care. Three months later still recovering and begining to walk again. Thanks to Dr Knudson for the incorrect diagnosis and to the manager of Malbis ER, Bill Gore, for the followup.

Dr. Knutson was the physician working the ER at Thomas the evening I needed treatment, unfortunately. Referred to the ER by another doctor that same day, my pulse was at 40, very fatigued and was having chest pains. My blood pressure was not consistent it would fluctuate setting off the machine several times. When going from the sitting to standing position my pulse would drop 20 points. The drop causes the fatigue and nausea to get worse along with the lack of cognitive abilities. Anyone with heart issues similar to this knows the symptoms, putting a simple sentence together is very difficult when your heart is not pumping correctly. Having Mito Valve Prolapse, heart arrhythmia identified by the nurse, I needed to see a Cardiologist who deals with cardio physiology or electrophysiology. Dr. Knutson never called a Cardiologist, his exact words "I'm not sure what you expect me to do, I'm not a cardiologist." Perhaps you should have called one? Dr. Knutson dismissed the above conditions saying this occurs when one becomes dehydrated? The fluids Dr. Knudson ordered set off the monitor 3-4 times. Which did nothing, at this point, no one came to check on me? Dr. Knut's theory was not correct, and instead of calling a Cardiologist, he discharges me with Bradycardia and Chronic Fatigue. Perhaps if I were feeling stronger, I would have put up more of a fight. Dr. Knut should have contacted a cardiologist; he failed me. I contacted Thomas Hospital, and it was confirmed he never reached out to a cardiologist, he should have. Call ahead if you plan on going to the ER, make sure this guy, isn't on duty.
