Dr. Ravi Dukkipati, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Dukappati for over 4 years, maybe more. He is professional, intelligent, no nonsense and direct. If you want to be babied, find another Dr. If I didn't have complete faith and good results from my treatment for so many years, I would seek another. Dr. Dukappati interned at one of the best hospital in the country, Cleveland Clinic. Be an advocate for yourself, if you need more time or more answers, let him know. Too many people are afraid to speak up if unsatisfied because they feel intimidated in Drs offices, Communicate with Dr. and staff, and if you still are unhappy, go elsewhere.

He was very warm and put me immediately at ease. He has taken me in a new direction in the care of my Secondary Progressive MS and I have hope again. I’m so glad to have him on my team of caregivers.

Dr. Dukkipati diagnosed me almost 18 years ago with MS and i am grateful to him for his care and treatment. Was sad when he left the Camp Hill practice. All i can say is that i was train wreck and after loss of my whole left side and double vision and with hard work and many years of exercise and therapy you would not even know i have MS. Dr. Dukkipati got me on the right road to recovery. Thank you so much!!!

I was a patient of his for a long time until recently, 8 years I think, for MS. Aggressive without DMDs and symptomatic daily MS. In the past couple years, I've had medication refills and prior authorizations delayed longer and longer, my disease modifying therapy was delayed 3 entire months supposedly over authorization. Same med I've been on for over a year, same insurance which has never taken 3 months to approve anything. He does very abbreviated exams, watches me walk no more than 6 steps and come back, and that's it. Barely answers questions, it's like pulling teeth. He told me my last MRI, the first he'd ordered in 2 years rather than 1 which he claimed was typical, was stable but active which makes zero sense. I have no idea where I'm at with my illness at this point besides on disability which isn't the greatest point to feel on your own at. I no longer get phone calls letting me know how my MRI looked. I've tried messaging in about symptoms and have gotten suggestions to increase medication to a dose I've already stepped down from because it wasn't working out. Then no suggestions at all. I'm not at a point with my MS or my brain, where I'm willing to mess around with 15 minute appointments twice a year, where I'm basically talking to myself. There are so many problems between his approach, MA and sometimes the staff, it stressed me out so badly on a regular basis. There are so many complaints I could write about, things that really shouldn't have happened. I'm honestly disappointed. I'm sure some patients do great with him, at one point we had an ok doctor-patient relationship, but sadly, the negative reviews aren't made up.

Dr. Dukkipati entered the appointment having reviewed a recent hospital stay that was not related to neurology. He is interested in the whole patient. Answered questions and gave very relevant information regarding our concerns.

I was very disappointed. He barely took the time to talk to me. He walked in the room, flipped through my chart and told me to continue taking medication that I didn't want to be on then dismissed himself. I was with him for all of 5 minutes on a new patient consult which typically lasts about an hour. I don't trust any doctor that can't give you their time or answer questions.

I have seen this neurologist for quite a few years. I felt he was informed and interested and helped make good decisions for my care. However, for the last several appointments, even though I’m the first appointment of the day, I end up waiting almost 45 minutes. At my last appointment, the nurse who checked me in shared with me that he is often late for his appointments in the early morning. I commented that he must be late with his appointments all day. She proceeded to tell me that he hurries up his early morning appointments so that he’s back on track by 11 o’clock in the morning. I did feel that he was rushing my appointments. Now I know why. I would prefer if he’d spend some time reviewing my MRIs as well as my treatment options.

I've been a patient of Dr. Dukkipati's for sometime now. If you're looking for an honest, no nonsense doctor who gets to the point, he is your man. Some of the reviews on here make me quite skeptical of the person writing the review, seeing as I've only ever been mistreated by the nurses on occasion. There are days when hes extremely busy, but he always takes the time to go over everything with me and make sure that I'm doing okay. However, he is a realist and to the point. If he's not doing something you think he should, there's probably a reason he hasn't. People should really stop and pay attention to what's actually going on around them and be a bit more caring themselves. Dx MS 2010, dukkipati patient since 2014-2015 ?

I was referred to this guy after I was discharged from the hospital ...to even call him a doctor would be a compliment. I was seeing him due to having MS-related symptoms. I spent more time parking, walking up to the office and checking-in than he spent with me. Instead of taking the time to actually go over and explain my MRI and other scans with me, he dumped a bunch of paperwork on me to read. Yeah, that's great....why not just refer to Google and save me the trouble of wasting time out of my day to see you? His treatment options were just as dreadful. This dude hands me another book to read up on Copaxone and to call in a week or so if I am ready to start it. Sure, that sounds great. I will jump right on that without you taking any time whatsoever with me so I can fully understand what is happening and what other treatment options are available. If you read other negative reviews on other sites on this quack trust me, they are absolutely right. I didn't look at any reviews before I saw him and always want to go in with a clear head without any preconceived opinions. Man, I wish I did some research beforehand. I'd have rolled the dice on anyone if I knew then what I know now. On top of all this, when I complained to the neurologist who referred to him I got a call from someone in his staff who told me if I ever have more questions I could ask....why doesn't this dude just take the time he should with patients the first go around and care? First impressions have a lot of impact and apparently this quacker either doesn't care or is so absorbed by the bubble he lives in he doesn't realize how crappy he really is. Avoid!

I could write an essay paper right now on how I feel about dr. Dukkipati. But then I would be putting more effort into him than he did for me. I had even given him a second chance. Hoping he would see the seriousness this time. Didn't listen to a thing I said and then had the nerve to send me home with a prescription for depression. What a joke. Spare your self and find a different nuerologist.

Don’t waste your time seeing him. Very unprofessional and not well educated.

I've been seeing this neuro since he came to Wellspan and I have zero complaints. Actually feel like he's looking out for my best interest.

Told me just to stay on my high dose of morphine. Now Addicted!! The reason for my painful symptoms were not searched and I had to seek out other treatment.

This guy never performed a neuro exam on me I'm a multiple sclerosis patient and all he did was prescribe expensive medications! Go see Dr Cherry he will take care of you !

I went to see this doctor a few months ago, and he spent a total of 5 minutes with me. He didn't look at any of my MRI's, CT scans or anything. When I asked him questions he made me look like an idiot and loved every second of it. He is an arrogant doctor and I would never recommend him to anyone.

Was Recommended to him by another Doctor. He did nothing, as I had MRI's, Cat scans and EMG's. He explained that I would have to live with it. Gave me a bottle of Lyrica , even though I explained that it didn't work in the past. No bedside manner. I suggest finding another Doctor with better reviews. Maybe I caught him on a bad day and you may have a better experience.

Dr. Ravi Dukkipati is compassionate, cautious and respectful Neurologist who has been treating me for a year now, he is on point with my care!

Professional , good listener and cares about his patients.

I like this dr. He explained why I needed the tests I needed so we could get an accurate diagnosis. Sometimes however when I explain a symptom, he doesn't consider it from my MS when I know through research it could be.
