Excelent doctor. Been seeing her for about fifteen years. As noted on other comments wait time is usually long but I feel that it is worth the wait.

I started wearing glasses at the age of 8. Right now, I am on year #1 since I had LASIK done by Dr. Patel and her amazing team. She answered all my questions and anxieties about having eye surgery. She eased any concerns my family members had about me doing the surgery. She uses only the finest technology out there. You can tell by all the equipment she has! There is not a single square foot in her office that is wasted on anything that doesn’t improve your vision. After my pre op appointment I knew everything I needed to know about what would happen during surgery and what to expect. They sent me home to really read all the Information about the laser we’d be using. Sent me home with a dry eye regimen to help the recovery time become easier. Wrote everything down in a pretty easy way to understand. Surgery day came and I became pretty nervous but Dr Patel calmed my nerves and actually had me laughing most of the time during the procedure. (You know except when I was supposed to be still ) She called me the same night to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. And she saw me as often as I needed in the first year. She treated me like family! This whole experience has been the best. I can see and enjoy a nice summer day at the pool! I can see my clock in the mornings to figure out I’m running late! I actually can wear some cute sunglasses!! Best decision of my life! Thanks WVI!

Even if you have an appointment they make you wait for hours to be seen, our time is just as important as her’s, she is good but not that good.

Dr. Patel is an answer to my prayers! I came to her after a botched cataract surgery. She is absolutely wonderful, totally committed to patient care and brilliant. Please don’t go anywhere else! She is the best! Wichita is lucky to have someone of this caliber! Linda Pierce, Towanda, Kansas

Can explain to the lay person what is going on in the eyes. Very smart and personable. She spends as much time as needed with each patient-which is great when you are the patient she is with. Only complaint is because of her great patient care, appointments run late.

I have observed numerous cataract surgeons throughout three states that I cover & Dr. Patel is an excellent surgeon knowledgeable on the latest developments in ophthalmology taking the utmost care for her patients.

DONT GO FOR A FREE CONSULTATION. She will say you have something else wrong.

Be prepared for a long appointment, but the wait is worth it. You will have the most thorough eye exam of your life.
