Most knowledgeable orthopedic Dr I've ever encountered.

He examined me, told me he did not recommend the 4 disc replacements another guy did. I should have listened to him ??. Can't work, chronic pain, $220 thousand dollar bill.

I had a procedure and the Dr recommended I go back to full activity. I initially wanted to go on disability. Dr was right, I am not disabled....

I have no idea why there are negative reviews on this excellent Dr. I would never let anyone else operate on me. The man is a perfectionist at what he does. He’s not a pain management doctor, he’s a great surgeon. Did my neck, and lower back. Excellent after care. I don’t care how long he spends in the office with me, he a very intelligent man, and doesn’t need an hour too know the problem, he’s been there, done that. I don’t blame him for being Leary about pain meds, too many people abuse them, but he does treat after surgery pain, as he deems needed. I just know he’s an excellent surgeon, and would never let anyone else on my case. His staff are top shelf also. I’m always treated kinda like family. I’m going in for my second lower back surgery, and I’m not a bit nervous, because I know I’m in the best hands with this Dr. and I know he WILL fix me. He’s not rude, he’s just a regular guy, doing his job, and does it with perfection. Need surgery?, no worries. I don’t go too him for a chit chat, i go because I know without a doubt, he will fix what’s causing my back too hurt. I’m just glad he hasn’t retired yet, I’d be in big troubles. Thank you, Dr. Mirkin, Dena, and Mary, you all rock, out loud. Me.

In consideration of all the doctors I have met in my lifetime, which is dozens, Peter Mirkin is by far the most unprofessional and rudest. Based on my outcome (he made my back far, far worse and wouldn't do anything to address it after surgery), his surgical skills are far below par. He has NO beside manner, and is without compassion or regard for the ultimate well-being of his patient once his operation is done. Clearly this guy is only in it for the money, and even resorted to accusing me of faking my condition after the surgery he performed. I would not recommend this guy to anyone who hopes to be better off after he works on them. I would give Mirkin zero stars if it were possible.
