Dr. Westfal is simply the best IM physician I have known. He has deep medical expertise and is gifted diagnostician. He has provided the best medical care to me and members of my family. He takes time to listen, asks questions and is extremely thorough. Dr. Westfal has provided answers when all others could not. He is an excellent physician who is also so compassionate, kind, and genuinely cares for the patient. Through his pleasant, positive and cheerful style, he is able to calm you down but will steer you in the right direction so you can resolve your issues. On several occasions he has literally given life saving advice to a very close family member. We have known and received treatment from Dr. Westfal for over 15 years. Once you have been in his care it is very clear that he has no equal.

I took treatment recommended by this Doctor that he assured me would be covered by my insurer. The treatment was excessive and too invasive in my opinion.Coverage was declined by my insurers and he forced me to pay nearly 100% more than the insurance reimbursement value, all out of my own pocket. He refused to give me a break of even a single dollar.I will never go back to this doctor, even though his office is the most convenient for me to attend where I live.
