The care I have received from Dr. Papandrea, Ryan, and the staff at OAW has been top-notch. Every step of my surgery and recovery was explained to me before my surgery. The occupational therapy team at OAW called me to schedule my therapy appointments before I even had my surgery. Dr. Papandrea is a very kind, caring and patient doctor. He took time out of his busy schedule to call me in the evening the day I had my surgery to see how I was doing. Dr. Papandrea and Ryan always got back to me right away whenever I messaged them with a question. I loved the daily text messages I received after my surgery. They were very informative and helpful. I absolutely love my occupational therapist - she has been great to work with. I highly recommend Dr. Papandrea, Ryan and the staff at OAW.

I experienced a significant OneWheel crash that resulted in several broken bones in my elbow when my arm bent the wrong way. Dr. Papandrea performed two surgeries to put me back together, and although he stopped short of turning me into the “bionic man” per my request, he fixed everything and gave me my life back. This man is incredibly skilled in his craft, he’s very detailed and precise, and he’s one heck of a nice guy. I’m an old man who has seen more than my share of doctors, and I consider Dr. Papandrea to be the best of the best.

We are blessed that my son was referred to Dr. Papandrea and his team with Ryan Hamm PA. Dr. Papandrea is not only an incredible surgeon but genuinely cares for his patients. He carefully explained all options and made us feel comfortable at a time of distress. We felt confident with his recommendation as he carefully considered my son's long term needs as a teen athlete. He kindly took my calls post surgery and sends helpful follow up texts.

I am extremely pleased with the shoulder replacement I received from Dr. Papandrea for many reasons. First, Dr. Papandrea is both professional and personable. He took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the procedure thoroughly before surgery, and he continued to address all of my questions during follow-up appointments. Furthermore, I greatly appreciated the daily emails sent by Dr. Papandrea and his staff regarding what to expect in the days following my surgery. In addition, both Dr. Panandrea and his staff were incredibly efficient throughout the whole process.

Dr. Papandrea and his team provided excellent care before, during, and after the surgery to relieve arthritis pain in my left thumb main joint. They had done this surgery on my right thumb three years earlier, and I wanted them to do my left thumb also. I'm very pleased with both results!

Dr Papandrea has done surgery on my wife who has been a Nurse at Froedtert for many years and worked with many doctors. She cannot stop saying how excellent Dr Papandrea was throughout the whole experience and her shoulder feels excellent!! He just did my shoulder surgery as well and I am so blessed to have had him as my surgeon as well. I was touched by his sincere care and the intense study he did on me even though he’s done these type of operations for 30 years I believe! What a rarity to have someone take his profession so to heart. The world would be blessed in many ways if we all took our life’s work this much to heart. He has a great team around him too in many areas including his PA assistant Ryan was exceptional and right through the PT staff and facilities . Many prayers were said on my behalf and the Lord Jesus answered them with the hands, head and heart of Dr Papandrea....and for that I am grateful!!!

I got a second opinion for shoulder work/repair from Dr. Rick. I chose him because his opinion and expertise made my decision to go with him much easier by what his approach would be with my shoulder issues. He explained everything in an easy to understand manner, was very knowledgeable and also personable. My surgery was a success at this point. I would highly recommend Dr. Rick.

I obtained a second opinion after earlier surgery to repair a fractured elbow. Best thing I ever did. Had the second surgery and have my active life back..

Suffered from a fractured left elbow, Dr. Papandrea performed two different surgeries to repair all damages. My elbow is now fully functioning and after both surgeries and therapy it is continuously getting stronger each day!

Dr. Papandrea reattached my distal bicep tendon at the elbow. He explained exactly what the surgery entailed and he professionally accomplished it. Heck, he even called a me at home the night after the surgery to make sure I was ok! What Dr does that? You bet I’d recommend him!!!

Dr Papandrea did a great job repairing my detached bicep. Because I was slow to have this injury diagnosed it was a little trickier than usual. Once diagnosed, Rick was great about fitting me in for surgery and everything went well. I would recommend Dr Papandrea highly!

Dr. Papandrea has done surgery on both shoulders (inverse and regular replacements) as well as piecing together a badly fractured wrist. Because of his expertise and dedication, I live life without pain and total movement. I highly recommend him!
