Dr. Benefield has always been terrific. He is knowledgeable and well spoken. I have been his patient for many years and will continue to trust him with my orthopedic concerns.

My husband had Dr. Benafield for several surgeries about a decade ago. He was a pleasant man who smiled and really listened to the patient. I was looking forward to my visit with him. i felt like I was sort of rushed out. Not connected to him at all. I received a prescription called into a pharmacy and did not get a chance to ask what it is. He is in some sort of obvious emotional distress or depression of his own and unfortunately, he is carrying it over into the room. This is not the doctor of the 2010's he was. I do have confidence in him diagnostically because of his past dealings with my husband. In my case what he told me and the sheet of paper he gave me said 2 different things. I may seek another appointment with somebody else if the meds don't help.

I had carpel tunnel and ulna release surgeries done by Dr. Benafield. I have been very pleased with the results of the surgeries and have had no problems at all. I appreciate Dr. Benafield's expertise and kindness...he answered any questions I had and it has been a very good experience. I definitely would recommend Dr. Benafield.

Atrocious bedside manner, arrogant, condescending, rude. Completely unprofessional. Violates HIPPA. Worst doctor I have ever encountered.

I would recommend Dr. Benafield to anyone in need of his services. He is very professional and I felt like he listened to my concerns and truly cared about the success of my surgery. He explained everything he would be doing in a fashion that put me at ease. I had surgery on my shoulder. I am 90 days out from my procedure and have NO pain in my shoulder after dealing with very bad pain for 5+ years. As I told Dr. Benafield, "He changed my life!"

My right shoulder hurt and didn't work - I did not expect much positive relief and especially when I learned that I needed a total reverse shoulder replacement. That surgery has not been around for a long time and seemed to me to be a last-ditch effort with few probable positive results expected. But then, Dr. Benefield performed - for me - an amazing surgery. With my arm in a sling, I returned home in one day, went to therapy and within one month, I could move my arm above my head, with minimal pain. Dr. B. is an extremely competent physician - that's understatement like saying Shakespeare was an okay dramatist. He like to do what he does - I think because he is a skilled perfectionist, really likes to help and heal --- and he is a really fine person.

I had a great experience from day one with Dr Benafield, he explored and explained every option for care and diagnosed the issue in depth to me. The surgery was simple and the recovery has been very speedy. He has followed up consistently and really cared about my well being!

The wait time at the clinic was always minimal. Dr. Benafield never kept me waiting. He was very thorough with me. His diagnosis was right on. He performed the surgery (right rotator cuff) on me. I have now finished my physical therapy and have full range of motion. I would recommend Dr. Benafield to any one that would have a medical condition similar to mine.

Dr. Benafield recently performed surgery on my right elbow to correct a radial head fracture injury. At 5 weeks after surgery, I have already regained 100% motion in my elbow and I am virtually pain-free; much faster than I ever expected. He and his staff were very friendly and took what could have been a long, horrible situation and turned it into quite the opposite. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. This man knows exactly what he is doing! A+!!

Dr. Benafield performed Carpal Tunnel Release surgery on both of my hands this summer, and I am VERY pleased with the outcome! They were done 6 weeks apart, and my recovery was fast - my hands worked better almost immediately. I had very little pain post-op (took Tylenol a couple of times) and had no complications. Dr. Benafield was professional and caring. He answered all my questions and explained everything carefully pre and post-op. I would rate Dr. Benafield "A+" and I am glad I had the surgeries done - what a difference!

My family doctor thought I had a torn rotator cuff and referred me to Dr Benafield. Doctor Benafield gave me all the options before deciding on surgery and his explanations helped me to decide on surgery. It turned out to be less serious and the recovery has been SO much better than what I expected. The office staff have been extremely helpful and courteous. I could not have possibly had a better experience.

I've had a very good and speedy recovery following rotator cuff surgery. My shoulder is doing well once again thanks to Dr. Benafeld. He did a great job. The physical therapy staff have also been great.

I am very pleased with the overall success of my surgery on my right hand that I scheduled my left hand for a month later. Dr Benafield and staff were all very professional. Everything was done in a time manner from office visits to pre to post surgery. I was well inform of every by all staff. My well being was the upmost importance to all staff. A nurse called me at home to ensure all was well with me and my pain medication was controlling my med. I let the nurse know it was a rough night but pain was under control at the time of the conversation and I had enough pain medication.

Dr. Benafield did surgery on both of my thumbs to relieve the pain caused by loss of cartilage in the joint. I could not ask for better results. He and his clinic were courteous and efficient. Office visits were on time. Essentially no waiting. I was so pleased with the first surgery that I scheduled the second one as soon as I regained reasonably good use of my thumb. If I ever need surgery again within his field he is my choice. I highly recommend him to others

Office staff told me the visit was covered by my insurance, it wasn't, they lied. Took unnecessary x-rays and spent about 5 minutes with me and told me I needed surgery when I didn't (after seeking a 2nd opinion). And he had the gall to charge me over $400 (way above average if you look around). I was making payments on the bill and, without warning or a courtesy call, the office reported me to a collection agency. Avoid this guy if possible.

Dr. Benafield gave me an excellent result for De Quarvain's of my wrist. Thanks to him, I can hold a pen again!I will have shoulder surgery by him this month and expect excellent results as well. I offer my highest regard to him and my highest reccommendation to anybody for his surgical skills and bedside manner.
