Dr. Robert J. Fegan, MD

Both my husband and I went to Dr. Fegan for cataract surgery. We recommend him highly. He has a wonderful demeanor and takes the time to answer all your questions. He provides the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision.

Dr Fegan is one of the most caring, kind, compassionate and brilliant dr's I have ever met. His approach to medicine is simply unique. I am always well informed after each visit and the knowledge of his team is remarkable. I highly recommend him over any other ophthalmologist in the area

I had cataract surgery yesterday and it was an amazingly easy experience, not at all what I expected. His staff was wonderful, friendly and caring, doing all they could to make me comfortable and at ease. Today I went back for my follow-up visit and much to my amazement I had 20/20 vision in the eye! . I still have to have my other eye done and am looking forward to it!

I recently had Dr. Fegan perform my cataract surgery. Although I was nervous at the start, the entire team put me at ease. Dr. Fegan was extremely attentive - he took as much time as I needed to answer all my questions and address my concerns. In addition I can now see better than I have in years- even with corrective lenses. This is a great practice and I highly recommend Dr. Fegan.

Dr. Fegan did this!! I'm typing this up and reading it, with NO glasses on after 64 years, almost my entire life, with glasses. I can see raindrops sparkling on the trees, drive a car, read, watch TV, etc., no glasses! Not only did he give me this truly wondrous gift, but both he and his staff did it with kindness, caring, and compassion. I can't say enough nice things about all of them!! To say that I was a "nervous nelly" would be a HUGE understatement. Not once did they make me feel like I was a pain in the neck to them!! In fact, you never heard anything other then kindness and understanding for anyone there getting surgery. Need surgery? Go to Dr. Fegan, best there is is!!

I have been seeing doctor Fegan for the last few years for my general eye exams. I always feel like I get a very thorough exam. I feel like he really cares about my eyes. I don't mind if I have to wait because I know he spends a lot of time with each of his patients.

After checking with both the doctor's Office and insurance company to make sure that no referral was needed for a routine eye examine, guess what was demanded as a reached the front desk? You guessed it, a referral. It is absolutely ridiculous that I did everything right to then face this issue. The explanation was that I needed a referral in case of a medical issue even though routine eye examines are covered under my insurance. Even if this was done politely, I would understand the misunderstanding but I was yelled at by the woman at the front desk as I was trying to resolve the scenario. It doesn't help saying that you're "only doing your job" when it is being shouted in the middle of an office. Upon speaking to an office manager I was at least more quietly scolded for not having a referral and told that it was due to a policy change that occurred recently. I have been here before without this issue so whatever policy change may have occurred, someone should have informed me of it. My insurance doesn't even require referrals for eye examines so I still don't understand why it was required. Overall, I did not deserve to be treated that way for their mistake, I would recommend staying far away from this place.

You can not get a better eye exam than in this practice, with Dr Fegan. He is kind, they are accurate and it is a one stop shop for all eye related issues and needs I have.

I will recommend Dr Fegan to everyone for cataract surgery. I was told by my eye glass doctor that I needed cataract surgery. I asked three different people and ALL THREE RECOMMENDED DR FEGAN. The office was very clean. The staff that greeted me was pleasant. A "technician" started my exam. She was very professional. I then waited about 20-30 min to see Dr Fegan. During this time I watched a video on cataract surgery. Dr Fegan walks in and he looks like my 28 y.o. son. When I told him that he laughed and said "don't worry I will finish reading the book on cataract surgery before I do yours." He then proceeded to tell me that he has done thousands of cataract surgeries and not to worry. By the end of his thorough exam I felt confident that he was the one to do my surgery. The surgery was painless. He called me the night of the surgery to see how I was doing!!! My vision is great. It was very easy. My only complaint was that on one of my visits after surgery I had to wait over one hour. I was told that "Dr Fegan had returned from a medical mission in Guatemalla and that he was backed up seeing emergencies." You feel that he truly cares about your eyes. I believe that he is worth it. I hope this is helpful to all who read this.

I was referred by a friend to Dr Fegan because she said he focuses on all your eye problems and addresses every question. Everything that I heard about his thorough medical care was true. He was excellent at diagnosing my problems. My previous eye doctor sent me to two separate specialists only to misdiagnose my eye condition. Dr Fegan was able to identify my problems within a few minutes. I recommend Dr Fegan if you want kind and accurate care.
