Dr. Leland has explained everything through my foot surgery. He is very easy and comfortable to talk to and has laid out all expectations in what to expect going forward.

Very knowledgeable. Explained why I’m having problems with my bunions. Gave me my options. Great experience.

Dr. Leland was amazing with my ankle surgery. He has a very warm style and is a skilled surgeon. I would highly recommend Dr Lealand. I felt very comfortable with him in Charge of my care.

His surgery to address my mothers intertrochanteric femoral fracture was a catastrophic that she may never recover from. She has to have a revision or total hip replacement and it could cost her her life due to complications that can result from removing hardware and revising at her age. We are devastated to start over again and scared.

I was seeing 10 minutes earlier. Dr. Leland was very kind and seem to be very knowledgeable. I would definitely go back and see him, and would refer him to other patients.

Making the appointment, pre-registering, my reception upon arrival, the employee who brought me back to the room the X-ray technician and Dr Leland were all 5 stars. Dr Leland was friendly and took time to explain everything to me. I will use Cornerstone for all my orthopedic needs.

I was rushed to the emergency room after a skiing accident requiring 3 surgeries by Dr. Leyland. Dr. Leyland had an amazing reputation with the hospital nurses, PAs, and staff which was reassuring. Surgeries went as planned and due to me being in rehab with an exoskeleton he even did a visit there so transport was not needed. All follow-up appointments at Cornerstone have been easy to schedule and very effecient. I highly recommend him.

I've had 2 surgeries with Leland. The first (big toe fusion) didn't take - and later find out he neglected to tell me not to take anti-inflammatories (impedes fusion). The he redid the surgery and he totally messed it up. Now my big toe doesn't touch the ground and its difficult to walk barefoot. Avoid this sloppy doctor.

I have ween two podiatrists who have been taking care of me without major surgery. Not surprisingly he recommended a dramatic surgery the first time I saw him. He seems to be all about operating as much as possible and as big of surgery as possible. Like I mentioned I am much more comfortable with my thorough and capable podiatrist.

Dr Leland was kind, thorough, and attentive to my needs. He explained all options, surgical and otherwise. When unforseen complications arose during recovery, he was quick to help solve the issues with my comfort and health at the forefront. He was so kind, as was his staff. I'm so happy I chose Dr Leland to perform my surgery. I highly recommend him and his staff!

Best surgeon I have ever seen (and I've had over 10 surgeries in my life). After having surgery after surgery and seeing many doctors, I met with Dr. Leland and he actually took time to listen to me...like, actually LISTEN. to me. He even personally called me a couple days before my surgery (amputation), after he was out of the office, to go over last minute questions I had instead of having a nurse or MA call. He did an outstanding job with my surgery and I could not recommend him more highly to anyone.

Two failed joint replacement surgeries.. Poor to non-existent recovery plan. His work didn't rate an F but is was a D-.

I'm very surprised at the reviews on here. I saw Dr Leland for a complex ankle issue from a failed surgery. He came highly recommended by one of the top UC Health orthopedic surgeons. He spent a lot of time with me and explained (and re-explained when necessary) what will need to be done in a future surgery. He encouraged me to get a 2nd opinion. I thought he was very down to earth and caring.

Dr. Leland was referred to me by three people, two of whom were doctors. After seeing Dr. Leland, I would NEVER recommend him. I unfortunately read his reviews after seeing him. I can agree with every negative review on here. Dr. Leland was not compassionate, thorough, or caring. If he would have taken some time with me he wouldn't have missed the life threatening DVT blood clot I have. If he had taken current x-rays, he would have also seen that my fracture displaced further than originally thought requiring surgery. Trust your gut on this one people.....if I didn't trust mine, I'm afraid of what could have happened to me.

BEWARE!! Leland is an arrogant know-it-all. Went in for a hammer toe repair 2 yrs ago. He just HAD to rebuild the whole foot. Surgery didn't heal after 1 yr. & was redone (at my expense). Finally healed enough to remove all the hardware 6 months ago (used a different surgeon). Have gone to physical therapy (at my expense), purchased orthotics (on my $$) and more. Have bulging areas, pain and swelling upon use. No more skiing for me. A simple day of errands lays me up. If it ain't broke don't fix it. "Fixing" one foot resulted in differing arch heights, hip levels, and shoe sizes just to mention a few nightmares. I recommend you find another surgeon.

Made an unpleasant injury easy to manage

I had ankle surgery about nine years ago and my ankle gets progressively worse each year. I am in chronic pain daily and my ankle is definitely worse after having the surgery. I went back to him recently and he suggested I schedule for another surgery to once again "clean things up" in my ankle. He told me their wouldn't be any guarantees that the surgery would be successful this time either - what confidence!

Still in pain after over a year since ankle surgery. Dr. Leland seemed too busy to provide much needed post-surgery care for healing process.
