Yikes. He clearly should have chosen a different profession. I'm a middle-aged man with long-term heart problems and saw him in the ER with chest pains. I could look past his being obnoxious and sarcastic except he also was in such a hurry to leave rather than listen for five minutes that he missed the diagnosis. The next day another physician at the same hospital (an internist, not a specialist) took a minute to look things over and discuss the situation. He quickly realized that it was a drug interaction and fixed the problem. Lots of doctors get a reputation for arrogance, but most are just overworked and overstressed. Sadly, he was more than that and is just not fit to interact with patients. Everyone else there has been excellent over the years. So, if it's not life-threatening and he's the ER doc on call, do yourself a favor and just keep going until you reach Albany med. Usually the intake nurse can tell you who's working that shift.
