Dr. Robert J Singer, DO

Dr Singer has been my surgeon for over two decades. He has a good bedside manner. He takes his time and experience to explain what is wrong and what needs done. I recommend him to my family and friends and to anyone who needs a surgeon. Thank you Dr Singer.

Dr. Singer performed a total knee replacement over 8 weeks ago. My knee at this point is worse than it was prior to surgery. I have asked to speak with Dr. Singer regarding my situation during an appointment. Today (1/23/2024), according to my understanding, I was to see a PA and then speak with Dr. Singer. To my dismay, I was told I would not be able to speak as he was going into surgery. I was given an opportunity to see him 2 days later or continue with my same day appointment. I did accept the next appointment, however, as I was leaving Dr. Singer appeared in the hallway and sat down at the nurses station. The individual that I was speaking with me tried to redirect away from the nurses station so I would not see the Dr. Too late! I may have made a mistake but I cancelled all up coming appointments. No apologies from the office. I will say that most of the staff are friendly but there were a few that made me feel like I was nothing but an old piece of flesh whining about my poor knee problem. I really think this practice has grown to large. I have had several procedures done here in the past when Dr. Singer took time to speak with me on a more personal basis. Not this time. If he gave me 6 minutes I was lucky. Beware!

He has been nice to me every visit.

I’ve only gone to my first appointment, but I am very impressed with how organized the check- in process was and the speed with which I was greeted by dr Singer. He made me feel quite comfortable with my decision to go ahead with replacement surgery and with him as a doctor and a person.

Dr. Singer explains treatments for your condition and answers questions that you may have. He takes time and my past surgery was successful. I have and would recommend Dr. Singer, also University Orthopedic.

Dr. Singer and staff were very efficient and polite during my office visit. I felt free to ask any and all questions while there.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, no empathy and no time for you if you only have Medicare. My finger that he performed surgery on is crooked and can"t bend properly.

Dr. Singer seemed more intent on getting in and out of the room than taking time to evaluate and discuss issue with me. Had previously seen him many years ago. At that time he was more patient friendly. I was to have a follow up visit but after my experience, cancelled the follow up because I felt it would be a total waste of my time.

I had a shot on Thursday it is now Tuesday and my knee is still so sore it hurts worse what can I do?

DO NOT CONFUSE WITH UPMC UNIV ORTHO! Dr. Singer and his team at University Orthopedic Center are the best. Arrived and temp checked at door social distancing provided; quickly in processed and taken straight back for IN OFFICE XRAYS; barely sat down and nurse called me back to begin exam. Dr. Singer reviewed XRAYS provided thorough exam; discussed treatment options . He is efficient and thorough. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR ORTHOPEDIC SUPPORT. Dr. Singer and his team are the best.

We all wish for a Dr like Dr Singer. He is very kind, caring, patient, and gentle. He takes the time to listen to you, answer your questions and explain your diagnosis. He is also a great surgeon. Dr. Singers office is the most efficiently run office I have ever seen. From start to finish there is no comparison...Dr Singer is the best.

Good job assessing my hip problem I felt confident with Dr Singer

The doctor was excellent for the 5 minutes he saw me but the problem is billing I was told the cost for the office visit was $50 which I paid that day. A month later I receive a bill for $268.00 I was never told anything about extra money only the $50 for that day. I find this too be a very poor way to run a business and to lie to people. Don’t you have any morals and pride?

Dr. Singer was very instrumental in getting to see me very quickly, getting me an mri, and surgery. I would recommend Dr. Singer to anyone , if I ever need to go back for anything else I definitely will

Although Dr. Singer hasn't performed the knee replacement yet, when the time comes to do so I hope he will be available and willing. At my last visit Dr. Singer took the time to answer my questions and concerns regarding the replacement, which I appreciated very much. Thank you1

My total knee replacement isn’t for a couple of weeks. But I can speak to Dr. Singers level of professionalism. Not only was Dr. Singer was very thorough in explaining what is to be expected during and after my procedure. I felt and still feel very comfortable with moving forward with my full knee replacement. Not only Dr. Singer but his entire team delivers a level of professionalism that is at times missed in the medical files. From his office team to his surgical team everything I could have asked and didn’t ask was answered and explain. I wasn’t rushed but instead was allowed to take as much time as I needed. I would highly recommend Dr. Singer to anyone looking for the best possible experience you can get when have a surgery all procedure.

Dr. Singer is very professional and an excellent surgeon. He explained the procedure (total hip) and answered all questions I had pertaining to the surgery. During his follow-up he took the time to, again, listen to the questions I had post-op. I would recommend him without reservation.
