Dr. Robert Wayne Tahara, MD

Does not respect his patients’ privacy, time or intelligence. He bad mouths other doctors, hospitals and patients. Thinks he knows it all and that no one else could possibly understand or remember the simple guidance that goes along with his simple discipline of medicine. Apparently he couldn’t cut the mustard in any other medical field.

I started seeing Dr. Tahara about a year ago for a vascular ulcer. This office is not like any other. Dr. Tahara is not your typical doctor either. He is very blunt and will tell you exactly what you need to do and how you need to do just that (whether you want to hear it or not!). This isn’t to be mean, he just wants what is best for you. Why else do doctors do what they do? Also, all of his staff are wonderful! From the receptionist, to the nurses, to the technicians, all are very kind and knowledgeable. I have gone from being tired all the time, and having heavy feeling legs, to having a complete 180! Very little leg issues and having a better quality of life. My only regret is not going sooner for my problem. Don’t make that mistake!

Went in 2018 for swollen legs and they way he gave presentation and such was VERY RUDE and IRRIGANT, name calling about other medical people was really immature. How many visits that I went to still couldn't figure out what was wrong. Finally, in 2021 went to a different vascular Dr and in 5 minutes he figured out what was causing my swelling in foot/leg. What a waste of time and $

Dr Tahara is the most self absorbed, rude, vulgar piece of trash. He may be a surgeon but I have absolutely zero respect for him. If I could give him a negative star rating I would. Anyone out there please don’t make the mistake I did. Find another Surgeon!

My husband, a Vietnam Vet, with agent orange problems resulting in constant body pain, went to Mr. Tamara for help with pain. He was a bully from his first spoken word. We were verbally abused with his cussing and swearing, threatened, called names, and put down. He was The Boss and he let us know that. I only asked one question and he told us if we didn’t want to do everything he asked of us, give him a wave on our way out and don’t let the door hit us in a**. I found an advocate group to help us, was given a new appointment, elsewhere, and told to cancel any further meetings with him. I did just that under the direction of my husband. We wanted help so badly that we gave this terrible man two chances with another to go, but we cancelled.

Wow, what an arrogant man. I never experienced someone quite like him before. He would not listen to me and cut me off and told me my question was the most stupid thing he heard all day. What terrible manners. Do not recommend.

Very rude! Save your time and money. He will lecture you about how you know nothing and he knows everything. He asked what I do for a living and when I told him I’m a teacher he then proceeded to tell me how all teachers think they know everything about their heath but don’t. Asked what level I teach, I said high school, and then he told me where are the worst when it comes to this. He said he has the most trouble with patients that teach high school and that we walk around even in public acting like we know it all. I was offended and appalled by his bedside manor. Cancelled all future appointments with this joker and took my business elsewhere. Someone please deflate this mans head.

He is the best -- according to him. A braggart who doesn't hesitate to bad mouth other doctors; uses scare tactics and disclaimers to keep patients and to sell "his" compression stockings. Uses language unbecoming (disallowed?) of a doctor, including the "f" word. (Makes him feel macho, I guess.)

The man saved my life twice! He is extremely intelligent, proficient with his skill, and compassionate toward his patients. The area is very fortunate to have a doctor of his ability.

always running behind. lectures people and doesn't listen. attempts to make patients and other feel inadequate. great with a scalpel but horrible bedside manner. not an MD I would recommend.

Dr. Tahara "rotorooted" both of my carotid arteries (over several months). He is simply the best! We are very luck to have a man of his caliber in this area. I have recommended him to several others and will continue to do so. I'm one who is very sure that I would not be here if it were not for him.

I would like to say THANK YOU to Dr. Tahara. He treated my sister when she arrived at Bradford Regional Medical Center for multiple blood clots. I could not thank him enough for her expertise; without him I am sure the outcome would not of been good. He is very personable, upfront and honest. He saved her life and I thank him for this. * My ratings reflect the experience in the hospital, not his office.

I would reccomend Dr. Tahara and having the venus prcedure for anyone with leg pain..after the cause has been found.I had the procedure last year and I cannot express what a differnce it has made in my life.Thank you Dr.Tahara

Dr Tahara and his staff turned what was at first a terrifying experience,into a fascinating experince of surgical explanation. I forgot that I was the patient! He and staff care deeply for their patients.
