Dr. Robert William Wysocki, MD

Dr. Wysocki and his PA Megan Burns are an excellent team. They do not rush the appointment and listen to the patient and their symptoms. They diagnose and treat every patient with respect. Appointments are scheduled with ease, no long wait times in the office. His surgical skills are superb. I have highly recommended him to family and friends.

Dr. Wysocki diagnosed and performed the surgery for my distal bicep repair. He and his team of PAs were amazing. He is a wonderful surgeon who did a great job explaining the procedure and then helping me through the recovery. My arm is back to full mobility and strength.

The doctor is very conservative about treatment. Never pushed for surgery. Had surgery done to my right elbow and it is doing great.

I fell and broke both my wrist and elbow in March, Dr. Wysocki was able to get me in for consultation the next day and I had surgery three days later. Dr. Wysocki was kind, knowledgeable, and understanding especially when I was feeling a bit defeated in my recovery (it felt like it was going so slow but that was just in my own head, I was actually on pace for a normal recovery). When I needed anything, Dr. Wysocki's team was there to answer my questions and help me. I highly recommend Dr. Wysocki and the entire Midwest Ortho team and their rehab services (especially Deb Wright in OT).

The doctor is very receptive to patient questions. Dr. Wysocki takes his time to explain why symptoms may be present and explains potential solutions in a polite and yet straightforward manner. Surgery was flawless and I was very happy with his follow up medical care.

I was referred to Dr. Wysocki by another hand/wrist surgeon in the western Chicago suburbs. From the first appointment, I truly felt that Dr. Wysocki and his staff empowered me as a patient. He listened to my issues and clearly explained the treatment plan moving forward. The physician assistant, fellows, nurses, front office staff, Occupational Therapist, and surgical staff were top notch and I never had a single issue. My wrist surgery was rare and Dr. Wysocki gave me the confidence that I would get through the process. The surgery was a success and I no longer have any issues. I would recommend Dr. Wysocki to family and friends without any hesitation. 6 stars!!!!!!!

Dr. Wysocki did an amazing job performing surgery on my wrist with only one stich involved. I can't see the scar anymore because he did such an amazing job. His team was great to work with and helped me recover faster than expected!

Dr.Wysoki and staff made feel like family. Explained every detail to a point i can understand, every visit i was in and out in a timly manner. I will return to Dr. Wysoki in the future if i need any other surgery.

Dr Wysocki was very professional from the moment I met him. He explained my options with my broken hand and chose surgery. He did a great job and saw my progress through rehab. Hand is back to normal. would highly recommend.

I had been postponing hand surgery for quite some time and didn't realize the pain I was in. Dr Wysocki allowed me to choose my timing for surgery instead of forcing it upon me. He has a wonderful bedside manner and he and his staff are ready and willing to patiently answer all questions I had. He provided realistic timelines for recovery and gave me very clear milestones by which to measure my improvement. I trust him implicitly and won't hesitate to contact him if I see anything unusual or have any questions. He is a wonderful doctor and I would happily recommend him to others and to return to him for the same procedure on my other thumb when I need it.

The initial visit was so quick, but it was efficient & I left feeling heard and that all of my questions were answered. The last thing I wanted was to have surgery on my wrist, but I felt incredibly safe in Dr. Wysocki's care. I was nervous about my progress after surgery, but again, felt that my concerns were being heard and that Dr. Wysocki was just as invested in my success as I was. I would 100% recommend him to anyone. His PAs are also really great!

I highly recommend Dr Wysocki. I am grateful that two different friends recommended him to me based on their own and a friend’s experience. I came to Dr. Wysocki with a few things not working in my favor – a month old broken bone in my hand (I was told it wasn’t broken by an urgent care), a break in a difficult spot to heal (scaphoid) and being middle age that would require longer healing. Dr Wysocki’s instincts were spot on from the first meeting. Despite this, he took the time and the scans to verify his diagnosis. I would need 1 surgery and a follow up surgical procedure to ensure the best chance at full healing. He took the time to explain the process and reasoning around every step while also managing my expectations to ensure a full recovery. This was incredibly valuable since there were no surprises along the way. We also had some laughs and regular check ins throughout – so I didn’t just feel like a surgery he had to do but a true patient of his. I am thrilled to say I am back to 100%. This is a big relief to me since the injury was in my dominant hand. I never worried any step of the way based on the guidance of Dr. Wysocki. I also followed all his instructions around not lifting too much too soon and being diligent in my physical therapy. Dr Wysocki & Rush were the best choice.

I had an awful experience with Dr. Wysocki, I was referred to him by my physical therapist and you had best believe I will let that practice know to never recommend him to other patients. Forty minutes to get there and back, only for him to come in forty after my appointment time and spend ten minutes brushing me and my pain off entirely. Having chronic pain is a deeply frustrating experience. For a doctor to so brazenly express his disinterest was beyond hurtful and inappropriate. I've tried numerous treatments and gone to multiple specialists only to be told to "try rowing" instead of him making any attempt to diagnose the cause of my pain.

Dr. Wysocki did a tremendous job and I cannot recommend him and his team enough. I came to him last summer with a broken scaphoid due to a car accident. At the time, he explained that it was one of the most difficult bones in the body to heal and my fracture was located through the most difficult part of the bone to heal. Unfortunately for me, wrist surgery and a long recovery were the only real ways forward. However, Dr. Wysocki and his team did a fantastic job preparing me for surgery, conducting the operation, and guiding me through the long, challenging recovery. His professionalism and care resulted in a short-than-expected recovery time with excellent results. A little over six months from our first appointment, I am healed. Thank you, Dr. Wysocki, Megan, Sydney, and your whole team for your great care!

Dr. Robert Wysocki is not only a talented surgeon, but he is very personable and engaging as well. My case (broken right wrist) was a bit complicated. He patiently walked me through my options and helped me come to the decision to have surgery. The surgery was smooth and gave me the best possible outcome. I am very active with my hands (cooking, knitting, gardening) and and thrilled with the outcome. I am back in top shape. His support staff is also top notch!

Recommended. Very thorough. Took the time to answer all of my questions. Was not rushed during the appointment. Communication after the surgery was excellent with quick replies via email, text, and telephone calls.

Cannot recommend Dr. Wysocki enough. He guided me through treatment and surgery, days after I was in an accident. I am a dentist and after my scaphoid fracture he was very thorough in his treatment method and laying out the steps needed for my full recovery to get back to work. The process was seamless. He is an expert surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone!

I highly recommend Dr. Wysocki. He knows what the patient needs.and does a great job. I only had two days of pain after my surgery, and now I can’t even see a scar. Five stars!!
