Dr. Ronald Gary Hayter, MD

Went for a second opinion and I am glad I did. Does whats good for patient and not what is lucrative for Doctor. I'm a Dentist and I was very impressed with the Dr Hayter and his friendly staff.

Dr. Hayter has been treating my RA for the past year. After seeing an RA doctor and disagreeing with biologics Dr. Hater takes his time and continues to find new treatments with the least side effects. He explains everything to me. Because of the RA i do continue to have pain but i get more relief under the care of Dr. Hayter than any other doctor. Dr. Hayters staff is compassionate and always Lends an ear when you need to vent. They are all professional and very caring. Thank you to Dr Hayter and his staff.

What an unhappy nasty doctor. Had to wait two hours to see him.Then he treated me like I was was a piece of trash. His billing person was also extremely rude and it seemed that she hated her job. Go elsewhere

Dr. Hayter performed a total hip replacement on me and I can't believe how good I feel and all the things I can do again. Dr. Hayter has my highest confidence.

I had my left knee resurfaced by Dr. Hayter. He Was very professional and I felt I was given The best patient care possible. I wish I had done it sooner.

Excellent orthopedic surgeon

Before the knee resurfacing, I attended three seminars with questions. I emailed many people who had had the surgery done. All those who responded had one thing to say: sorry they didn't do it sooner. Add my name to the list. Many years before I'd been told I needed knee replacement, but I refused. So happy I did not have the replacement. One of the sites here tells of a man whose wife died and sued. Read the entire article: the man says of all the doctors, nurses, hospital he sued, only two were punished, and he sued "thousands"! In my book he is just a very litigious person, not to be believed, the reason his suits did not succeed. I was to say with all my heart that Dr. Hayter is a fabulous doctor. Like they advertise, you can have the surgery in the morning, and be home for dinner. You can, but it costs more as an out-patient. I spent one night, making me an inpatient, so it was cheaper (for the insurance). Next week it will be FIVE YEARS since my surgery. I'm climbing stairs every chance I get as I couldn't do so for many years. I am one happy and grateful patient.

Dr Hayter has given me my mobility back. I have had two Hip replacement surgeries performed by him. I did not know but both of my hips had been deformed from birth. Only Dr Hayter explained this to me. He is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. I would recommend him very highly.

One of the best doctors I have ever been to---caring and competent and since I am a nurse (still practicing) I have much experience to judge.

What a nasty, disrespectful person. It is obvious that he became a doctor only for the money.

When I first met Dr Hayter I was so impressed. He told me my down time for PKR was 2 weeks and I would be able to resume normal activities. My post op went well but a week after that my pain was becoming increasingly worse I made an appointment to see him and I was in pain and he said "let me guess you got to go back to work huh!" I didn't need a note I already had one he wrote a week before that. He kept saying you had surgery you had surgery. I was there because I was in pain and scared. My knee was red and swelling and had a lump on the right side and he made me feel so stupid and ridiculous. He originally told me I'd be back to normal in 2 weeks. So here's my question? What do I do now? I'm still in pain and no one to go to. I called for a refill days ago .... No response

I have been seeing Dr. Hayter since 1991 when I crushed all the ligaments in my left knee. At the time I was the worst injury he and Dr. Barrett had ever seen. I had surgery at Palms of Pasadena and was treated better than I had ever been in any hospital. Dr. Hayter gave me flowers on Easter and everyday came to check on my progress. I was there for almost 3 weeks. It was a long recovery but thatnks to Dr. Hayter and his staff today I can walk which at the time of my injury on one was sure I would be able to. I have had septic aritjis developed in 2006 and Dr. Hayter was right on the ball of getting it taken care of. I have since moved to Ga. and I still go to Dr. Hayter for my yearly check-up on my knee and just recently had to have a left total shoulder replacement. Dr. Hayter is the compassionate and caring Doctor I have ever seen,

Gave minimal information before and after surgical procedure, deludes expectations of outcome, and will only call patients back if there is a possibility of making more money or if there is a chance that he will be sued if he doesn't. If you want a surgeon who wants to help patients and is genuinely concerned about them and willing to communicate, go somewhere else.

Dr. Hayter left the or before my knee surgery was finished. I don't know at what point because I could't see anything because of the drapes. I had no sedation so I was aware. I heard someone say that he had to leave to pick up his children. T he physicians assistant finished , i saw him suturing my knee. That's ok because that's his job . A PA can also make the incision. also ok. Noone will tell me at what point in the surgery the dr left and how much did the PA actually do. I know I should be able to trust the surgeon, but I have worked as aprofessional person in hospitals for 40 years and when you can't get a straight answer, somethings not right. Also the PA billed my insurance for over $2000, 2/3 of what the surgeon billed. Why is this allowed? How can a PA bill as a physician? What's wrong with this picture? These reviews are our only way of getting information about doctors.

AS the on call physician this dr couldn't be bothered with returning my call. This reflects a profound lack of respect for patients as well as his colleagues, for whom he is covering. I can't have confidence in a doctor who is that irresponsible. I was having complications and severe pain following surgery, I wasn't calling to chat about the weather. It is interesting that this guy is going on 60 years old and the picture on his website was taken probably 20 to 25 years ago.
