Him and his team are very compassionate people and are always willing to go the extra mile in helping their patients in whatever it is that they need. I am thankful to have come across them. Dr.Matteotti is such a great doctor and asset to the hospital and I highly recommend him and his team!

I have had Dr. Matteotti as my doctor for five years and it is because of him that I have made it to 83. He is the one doctor of many that has my sole interest at heart. His compassion combined with his knowledge is a blessing to me and a credit to his profession. If you want a doctor that gives it you straight along with a plan, then he's your man.

Let me first begin by saying that from the first time I met Dr. Matteotti I knew I was in the best of hands. Throughout my many surgeries he was always by my side. He made certain that after any procedures I was always taken care of by him and his efficient staff. Everyone went above and beyond for both myself and my family. His professional and surgical ability is beyond reproach. I could not have been in any better hands. He and his staff treated me like family. I came into your emergency room in the middle of the night from another hospital because they explained to me that they were not equipped to take care of me. All I know is that the pain was severe and constant and just in my abdomen, I had a situation going on that no one could explain to me, to my parents or to my children why it was happening. My life changed the day I met you. You were once a stranger to me, now you’ve become someone who has made an impact on my life. Before COVID19 and after many tests and your due diligence you came to the conclusion of my diagnosis and you begin prepping me and my family for what would be a very complicated 6 hour surgery. Due to COVID19 and the hospitals shutting down surgeries you along with your colleagues took an alternative route to take care of me. You never left my side and did all you could to make this situation in my life just a little easier. During my stay in the hospital and after every test and procedure you were there and one of the last persons I saw before I left the hospital. Your bedside manner was impeccable, the way you interacted and communicated with my sons and my parents will never be forgotten. The patience and strength of your team for the last 6 months has been truly remarkable. And, today when I saw you and we spoke at great length you assured me that if I ever need anything you were only a call away. I must’ve said thank you a thousand times throughout this entire situation but my gratitude will never be shown in full. And, whether or not you know it, you will be my silent warrior. Take Care ??

The first time we met Dr. Matteotti we knew we were in good hands. His bed side manner, the way he addressed ever question and concern. A great doctor, surgeon and human being. Dr. Matteotti's skill as a surgeon for pancreatic cancer is only surpassed by his dedication and compassion to his patient. Immediately after my consultation with Dr. Matteotti I knew he was the right choice for dealing with my cancer. Looking back four years later there is not a doubt in my mind I made the right choice. Words cannot due justice to Dr. Matteotti's value to the medical profession and his patients.

The good Dr. Matteotti ! Gifted with the ability to skillfully perform the most difficult surgery, with exact precision. It's magnificent! Great bedside manner with patient and family. Answers questions and outlines proceedures that are understandable. Compassionate. Has a good sense of humour on top of an, otherwise, greyish situation. All the staff and PA are intelligent, informed personnel. Health standards are excellent. So very lucky to have found him before he leaves Jersey Shore Med.. Meridian Health Care is truely incoherent to the surgeon that will no longer be with them. I bow to you, the good Dr. Matteotti for all your years of dedication to all patients. Thank you!

I had a hernia repair done by another Doctor a few years ago and it needed to be fixed. Lesson learned about not doing any research beforehand. I found Dr Matteotti through a friend and he hooked me up. I am now several weeks post-op, with only a little discomfort and no real pain, and on my way to recovering. He was able to answer all of my questions and concerns to my satisfaction and his staff have been exceptionally professional.

My journey with Dr. Matteotti included two bouts of pancreatitis, whipple procedure and complex hernia surgery. Not always the easiest patient to deal with, Dr. Matteotti was always patient, attentive and compassionate. With his wealth of knowledge and surgical expertise, I am on the road to a full recovery. I always knew I was in the best of hands. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. His PA's (Jill & Hayley) along with his office staff are also A++!!

My brother Bill was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in 2015 and the prognosis was poor. Thankfully Dr. Matteotti took over my brother’s care and chose to treat him when no one else would. He gave my brother hope which helped him endure chemotherapy, many procedures & several surgeries (including an 8 hour major surgery). Sadly, Bill passed two years after his diagnosis but he was able to attend his daughter’s wedding & meet his granddaughter. Dr. Matteotti made these moments possible for Bill. I want to thank Dr Matteotti and his staff again for taking care of me a second time in four years. Right now I had a growth on my neck and in 2016 he took care of my pancreas and spleen surgery. He is a very caring doctor and a fine human being. I was very lucky to have been sent to him in 2016. I also want to say what a fine group of office employees he has. His carrying side clearly transpires through his office staff and his two PA's, Haley and Jillian. The office staff really takes care of whatever problem a patient get into.
