I recently had right knee replacement surgery. Within 2 weeks, I am able to resume driving, working and feeling “ fairly normal” Dr. Shah is a top notch doctor. He made this whole process easy and without very little pain. He is patient friendly, approachable and a great surgeon. In addition , his support staff has always been friendly and answered my questions/concerns in a timely manner. Dr. Shah will be doing my left knee in the near future. My experience with Dr. Shah following my September 2022 hip replacement has not been great. I have had at least three follow appointments. My questions and concerns have gone unaddressed. He contacted me via phone on 5/5/23 after I emailed his office to request that he write an addendum to his earlier chart note because I was going to seeking a second opinion regarding on-going pain and leg length difference. It was on this call that he finally offered insight as to what he thought was causing the pain as well as provided some details about what happened in the operating room which were not detailed in the post operative summary and had not been previously discussed with me. He also acknowledged during this call that there was a “significant” difference in the length of my legs which he previously denied. I am very unhappy, and I have pain, stiffness, and a gait issue now. Another example of how poorly black people are treated by the health care establishment.

From my first visit with Dr. Shah, through and including my follow up visits after a full knee replacement, I was met with superb professionalism, knowledge and patience while I asked many questions. Dr. Shah was very attentive and helped me to understand the procedure an he also explained to me what my part in the recovery process would be. I felt calm and prepared before surgery. Dr. Shah's precise skills helped me to walk unaided in two days, and at the two week mark, I was exercising and bending my knee without any pain. Dr. Shah is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon and I am truly lucky that I selected him to perform my full knee replacement.

I am tremendously grateful that I learned about Dr. Shah just before my scheduled knee replacement with someone else. His examination alone showed me how thorough and careful he is about his work. I have since had both complete knee replacements done by him and he is TRULY masterful and brilliant at his art! My legs were so bowed I did not really believe he could straighten them as he said he could. He did! For the first time in years, I can walk quickly again without pain- only two months after my second replacement. Dr. Shah did my left knee replacement in 2019 and my right knee replacement in 2020. he did an excellent job and I am healing really well. The PT is very important but he set the stage for an easy recovery. He explained what I needed to know in a way that I understood, he answered my questions, his team followed up with me. I highly recommend Dr. Shah for knee replacements.

Dr. Shah did a "revision" on my left knee. I had had a knee replacement that wouldn't heal. Though he was at first reluctant to operate, he then saw something he could improve. And that he did. Now at 7 weeks I'm in better shape than I was at 7 months with the other. He is exceedingly skillful, but beyond that, he listens and cares. His entire staff is wonderful and involved in each patient's progress. I was given their business cellphones, and was able to contact the office, a nurse, etc. A knee replacement is tough going, but when you know the doctor and his staff care and will help, it makes everything easier. Now and again you have one of those doctors that is one of the best, and Dr. Shah is one of them.

Dr. Shah came highly recommended and he is the best doctor I've ever had, in terms of both his technical skills and his bed side manner. Also, his office was the easiest to work with and most organized that I've experienced. He was able to totally replace both of my knees within a 5 week period in the midst of the Corona Virus crisis, and the results have been amazing despite my case being a complex one. This is life changing for me in so many ways, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

I put off knee replacement surgery for a number of years. It was a bad decision driven by many misconceptions. Dr Roshan Shah came highly recommended to me and I have to say those recommendations were well deserved. The surgery went smoothly and recovery has been a breeze. I'm 5 days out from right total knee replacement (66 yrs old) and am thrilled with the progress so far, and the attention I've received from Dr. Shah and his office. I'm walking around with no pain, some expected tightness due to swelling and am happy following the high protein, low sugar diet suggested by Dr. Shah to help stave of infection and swelling. Compared to my left one replacement years ago, my recovery is moving on remarkably. I highly recommend Dr. Shah!
