Dr Carrasco is amazing! He takes time to get to know your child and their lifelong needs and goals. He shares information and outcomes with my teenager so they can make informed decisions about their care. He is supportive and understanding when challenges arise. Dr Carrasco is also very proactive when it comes to my daughter’s needs. I recommend him to anyone with a child with autoimmune disorders!

Dr Carrasco is an excellent rheumatologist that affords us as patients the time and the opportunity to ask as many questions as necessary. We have been going to him for 10 years and I’ve never felt rushed and always feel well informed once we leave.

The staff were exceptionally helpful in setting up the appointment. We were shocked that we were able to make an appointment within less than 2 weeks. Dr. Carrasco is funny, very engaging and did an excellent job gathering all the relevant historical data to treat my son. I feel confident that my son is going to recieve excellent care.

He listens to you and asks questions and gathers information to try to help. His nurses love their patients as well and are so friendly and loving. 2 years ago, we took our son to see Dr. Carrasco for a suspected, and subsequent diagnosis, for Juvenile Dermatomyositis. It's a dreadful auto immune disease. Looking back at that event, I can't imagine having any other doctor be the right one in telling us what we did not want to hear but most importantly interpretting in easy to digest steps what it was, what we should expect, and what to do next. Dr Carrasco showed true compassion and care for our son. He was responsive to the needs of a panic'd family and always followed through when we would call with questions. In the last 6 years, Dr. Carrasco and his staff have taken care of our daughter (and our family) in the most proactive, effective, compassionate, and respectful ways. We are extremely fortunate to have his expertise and his dedication as a driving force in our daughter's medical journey. She feels so comfortable with him and his staff; we also trust and depend on them as an extension of our family. The most assuring aspect of our perspective is hearing the same sentiments and opinions from all the families we meet that also have Dr. Carrasco as their doctor. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Carrasco in Austin. He has an amazing rapport with patients - I have a son in middle school and he would rather see Dr. C than any other doctor including his pediatrician, and most kids that age won't talk to many people. My son says "He's cool" - He is patient in answering questions and is prompt and considerate in follow ups.
