Dr. Ryan Patrick Conley, DO

I’m very disappointed with Triad Eye Institute in McAlester, OK. They made me and my husband believe the laser cataract surgery would correct my astigmatism and nearsightedness yet they never went into details about my astigmatism or didn’t mention Toric lenses for astigmatism correction. When we asked what the difference was between regular cataract surgery vs laser cataract surgery we were told the laser surgery would create a smaller scar and would correct my astigmatism. I had my 1st surgery on 2/6/24 and the 2nd surgery on 2/13/24 and my vision is still very blurry in both eyes. I can no longer see how to drive at night and struggle to work because my vision in both eyes is still very blurred. My eye dr recently told me my eyes probably won’t get better because I have a bad astigmatism in both eyes yet Triad Institute in McAlester never told me my vision would get worse after surgery. I feel they should refund the $1275 dollars per eye that I paid for them to remove my cataracts and put implanted lenses in my eyes since they never discussed my astigmatism with me. It looks like I will now have to spend more money to purchase glasses to see clearly but can’t get glasses for one month so I’m stuck with blurry vision for a while which is very debilitating and stressful. I would never recommend Triad Eye Institute to any one. I feel they should reimburse me my $2500. Please think twice before doing cataract surgery here. I’m very sad and disappointed this terrible situation has happened to me and don’t want it to happen to anyone else. Nothing against Dr Conley but the other Optometrist gave us incorrect information prior to surgery and it cost me a lot of money and now have very blurry vision due to astigmatism not corrected with the lens they put in my eyes for my cataract surgery ??.

Excellent surgeon. He removed my cataracts and corrected my astigmatism. 24 hrs after the surgery I had 20/20 vision. 1 week after the surgery I had 20/15 + vision. I’m 65 and have not had that good of vision since I was 35.

I was refereed by my optometrist to Ryan Conley because he billed himself as a cornea specialist. My entire eyeball was bright red .... inflamed .... and discharging a whitish substance. Very painful. Dr Conley diagnosed it as Dry Eye even though the optometrist saw a spot on the cornea. I saw him twice. Both times same diagnosis . No help. A friend helped me search the web because the condition was affecting my vision. We searched for a doctor that could help dry eye since that was the only lead he gave me. We found a dry eye specialist in Fayetteville, AR. I was given an appointment the next day. The doctor took on look at my eye and said yes I have dry eye and he'll treat that but first he had to treat the CORNEA ULCER that he said was in plain sight. It took about 8 days to heal the cornea ulcer. I credit Dr. Shaver and the Eye Center for saving my eye. Would I recomment Conley? My recommendation is a NO.

Dr Conley is the best surgeon I could have ever asked for! He did cataract surgery on both eyes and im so pleased with the outcome! Very nice man and surgeon.

After having the laser cataract surgery, I was having issues with my right eye and was told everything looked good. In 5 months my right eye had a cloudy film that distorted my vision from time to time. I me another appointment and was told that the back of lens needed to be clean via laser which usually happens much later in the process. It would cost another $1,900 for both eyes to be done after I had already paid over $3,000 five months earlier! The repair price is so excessive and Unfair to me as a client. I am very disappointed and would not recommend Triad service to anyone. Not a reliable service!

He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I liked how efficient Dr Conley and his staff are.

While driving yesterday I could see so good! I am glad I had the procedure done. Staff was very good.

Providing overall comfort and care of the patient seems foremost by clinical staff and Dr's.

Everything went good. If all doctors and staff were as friendly as Triad, then it would be easier to go to other doctor appointments. I cannot think of anything bad to say. I appreciate Triad and staff.

My recent surgery was better than I expected. At this moment I am very please the outcome, because this eye was completely useless, I am begining to see objects.

I believe you provided excellent and quick response to my initial appointment from the V.A. No problem with any person or procedure done. All your support staff were excellent.

I could not have found a better place to have my cataracts removed. The staff is so pleasant and I love Dr. Conley.

I would recommend Triad to all my family and friends. I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration. Everything was explained to me before surgery and afterwards. I have no complaints with doctors or staff. Great job Triad!

I had a horrible experience all the way through. Dr Conley was 5 hours late for the surgery. I was told to be there at 6am and he finally showed at 11: something. The lazer shined the never endings in my eye and I had a terrible recovery. Every office appointment was a 1 to 4 hour wait, which has jeopardized my job, having to take off work to sit in a room, every time, hours on end. I do have to say, they have GREAT employees, very kind and helpful, but this place does not respect their patients time. So very sad to run a business in the ground like this. i will not, and cannot go back there to have my other eye operated on. So very sad.....

I unfortunately had issues after cataract and lens replacement surgery. I had written letters, left voicemails, no response from Dr. Conley. If you do not have type of problems, Then I can understand these rave reviews, BUT if you have any type of issues, then you do not even warrant a response from Dr. Conley, or any of his staff at Triad Eye Institute, as they do not want to deal with you at all. Check out the Better Business Bureau reviews, others that have issues are also completely ignored. After reading the BBB reviews you will find that this is the type of business that once they have your money......it’s goodbye and if you have any problems, we do not care. Absolutely disgusting that this practice can operate in such a way.

Very pleased overall with my cataract surgery. Would highly recommend Dr. Conley.
