Still with severe pain!

Horrible experience. I broken multiple bones (neck, right humerus, both ribs, jaw) etc so I know what pain is. Luckily they been recovering fairly good. My problem is my left shoulder, it’s has limited mobility and strength and always in pain due to nerve damage. I was referred to him for pain management. Prior to him I would take 10 mg OxyContin no more than twice a day and it work with no side effects. He told me that he wasn’t going to prescribe me that medication due to possibility of addiction and it was ok with me. He instead gave me anti-inflammatory meds, 600mg of gabapentin to take 3 time a day & Tylenol with codeine #4 for pain and a shot of anti inflammatory medicine. Mind you that I don’t take meds to take away the pain for good but instead to tolerate and go about my day. I try his new plan of meds and they did not work. I have several side effects from taking 6 pills a day like acid reflux and makes my stomach upset. I came to the determination that opioids have to best pain relief management for my problem and he is to scared to prescribe due to the opioid epidemic. I’ve been through a lot the last thing I need is a inconsiderate doctor. He rather have me be dependent on meds that are of a much higher dosage that do not work rather than simply prescribing me what works. He didn’t even consider physical therapy until I told him I wanted physical therapy. Your best luck is finding what works for you and pray it’s not an opioid because he won’t prescribe it. Even though codeine is an opioid it gives me heartburn and isn’t enough to even manage my pain. I discontinued all his meds and have more than 80% of the Meds in stock. Just do your job and listen to what the patient tells you what works and help them out and don’t be too scared to prescribe opioids. That is your job to help with pain management and you did a horrible job. Stop being scared to do your job.

I should note that Dr. Deldar is seriously well-trained at some of the finest institutions in the U.S., and that he was recommended to me both by my superb Primary Care MD, abd by the most well-known back surgeon in my broadly-defined areathat overlaps three large counties; indeed, the surgeon noted that were he in need of pain management, Dr. Deldar would be his first choice, by far. Dr. Deldar is personable, and really listens to you; he asks probing questions, may send you for an MRI with a followup, and go from there for a course of treatment. He is SUPERB at communicating his thoughts, and by that I mean that he makes sure that YOU understand what he is trying to get across, always without acronyms or jargon. Of my 5 appoints with him, he was on time 3 times, late by 10 minutes once, and EARLY by 5 minutes another time. Staff is great, and his waiting room is among the nicest I have ever been in. Strongly Recommended.

Ever since I’ve been seeing Dr. Deldar my pain has gotten under control. Dr Deldar has many revolutionary ways to control Pain. Personally I will try anything he suggests.

My first visit but I think he’s very nice. Comfortable

I had debilitating pain from shifting bone pressure on the sciatic nerve. Had been to 3 Doctors with no relief. I was referred to Dr. Deldar by another physician and he agreed to see me the very next day. There is no cookie-cutter approach with Dr. Deldar – he spent a great deal of one on one time with me attempting to understand how I manage pain, not how he would manage it. He made me feel as if he could really feel my pain, not just from some medical perspective. Having chronic pain is not only a physical issue but an emotional one and he went above and beyond to help me manage that and understand my options honestly and sincerely. He went over my MRI with me in detail and helped me fully know my situation. He arranged for an epidural and called my insurance right then and there to get it authorized! The epidural was 100% successful, he definitely has healing hands! and he advised me on my prognosis for a successful future. I am so grateful to Dr. Deldar, I now have a life thanks to his extraordinary intervention and most of all, his caring. He gave me my life back and I cannot say enough about how blessed I am to have been referred to him. If you are in pain wanting relief, a patient-centered approach and someone who genuinely cares about you, put Dr. Deldar on the top of your list. This Doctor has a gift to share.

I've had over 10 years of chronic back pain and seem many specialists in the area. None were as thorough and informative as Dr Deldar. He personally review my imaging with me and educated me on my spinal condition. And while there may not be any cures for what I have, my pain is much better controlled than it every has been and I'm living my life again!

I went to see this MD for my chronic pain in my back he treated me very he did no offer me injection and told does not write prescription for pain. I went there with proof in hands about my pain and conditions and i heve a feeling he treated me like a drugs seeking behavior. Based on my experience and research and knowledge patients with chronic pain dont have a high risc for addiction like the others that dont have major pain. Why does dr treat patients like they are looking for drugs when the patien is showing the problem. Pls patients is you sre thinking to become a new pt pls think twice. I wasted my whole day for nothing. Think twice before you see this crappy crazy MD

Incredible physician. Incredible human being

I was thrilled with amount of time and personal attention Dr Deldar took during my initial visit. I was impressed with his attention to detail and knowledge of his specialty. I feel relieved to have such a we-trained specialist in our community!

I came in to have my back pain evaluated. I had seen other physicians that said that I had to go through on injection, but Dr Deldar said that he would start with a solid foundation of physical therapy focusing on core strengthening before trying anything more aggressive. Now, 6 weeks later, I am more functional and much more pain free - without an injection! I know that I might need to have more invasive procedures done at some point in the future and if I do, Dr Deldar is the person I am going to for his thoughts and evaluation.

Phenomenal new doctor in town with top-notch bedside manner

Dr. Deldar is very nice and he is very knowledgable about pain management options. He was able to rule out that my knee pain is not caused by nerve damage or nerve related pain and he was also able to tell me that it is not caused by any pain syndromes. He said it was joint related and pointed me in the direction of an orthopedic specialist. He was very helpful and willing to do what he could for me. His office staff is very nice and helpful as well. The office is clean and well maintained. I would recommend Dr. Deldar to my friends and family.
