Dr. Samuel Joseph Tarwater, MD

My visit with Dr. Tarwater was very positive and gave me hope. I really trust him. He was thorough but cautious when needed. He explained all the procedures he will be doing to develop a treatment plan for my issues. I highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr Tarwater for 24 years and he is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. He always takes time to explain things to me and listens to any concerns I may have and go over them with me. He always remembers and asks about my family.

Dr. Tarwater was kind and understanding, he addressed my concerns; I left his office assured that he would do his very best to treat my symptoms and give me all the care I need.

Practices with extreme arrogance and it shows. Tries to impress his staff at the expense of embarrassing his patient, how ridiculous is that. Very rude in conversation. Wants all eyes on himself and how great he is. Not! Will not speak to those he comes in contact with in public. I'm not impressed at all by Dr. Tarwater.

Recently had the pleasure of meeting and observing this great man. Very professional, caring, knowledgeable and considerate! Caring for a family member and praise God for this man. Flowers Hospital and the Wiregrass is fortunate and blessed to have a Doctor like this. Words cannot Express this guys character. Thank you Dr. Sam. We love you !!

No follow up treatment from EGD. Sent to surgeon who actually read results/ pathology and prescribed meds that actually work.

Been using Dr. Tarwater since 2000. Full confidence in this physician.

What any one could want in a "good" Dr.

One of the best Dr I have seen.very nice to me and was not in a hurry.

THIS MAN IS EXCELLENT. HE IS ONE OF THE MOST CARING, PATIENT, CONSIDERATE PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. HE FOUND MY ESOPHAGEAL CANCER, AND WITHIN DAYS HAD ME SET UP WITH A WONDERFUL ONCOLOGIST AT UAB. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DR. TO ANYONE.

Dr. Tarwater is my Mother's doctor and I have been to several appointment/procedures with her. Dr. Tarwater is one of the best doctors I have ever talked to. He takes time and appears to generally care about his patients.I highly rec Dr. Tarwater. I do NOT give the same rec to some of the other doctors in the same medical group.
