Dr. Sanat Dixit, MD

I was referred to Dr. Dixit for back surgery and he was awesome. His physician's assistant is awesome too! He actually figured out it wasn't my back but my hip that was the problem. I need a full hip replacement. I had seen several different back doctors in the Shoals area over the past 5 yrs and no one else bothered to try to figure out why the injections and pt had not worked!

Dr. Dixit became my dad's neurosurgeon after my dad fell hit his head and got a subdural hematoma. Dr. Dixit was straightforward yet kind, and sympathetic, and had a great bedside manner. He’s got the mad skills AND the bedside manner. And the technology to stay in touch even after surgery, on a daily basis. I’ve had dozens of surgeries/doctors over many decades, and he ranks top. Just completed a 2-level ACDF and sailed through it so far (24 hrs post-op, pain free and well-managed). My husband has had two surgeries with him as well, and so we’ve known him for years. I’m extremely grateful to have him in the same town I live in, as I often have to go to Vanderbilt for some of my issues.

Outstanding Doctor. Fully explains all courses of action to help relief your pain. I eelrcted spinal surgery. He and his staff were in contact with me weekly after my surgery. My recovery resulted in complete relief of my pain. The best doctor and staff I have every encountered.

My visit was good with Dr. Dixit. He suggested an Epidural block and that corrected the nerve problem. Dr. Dixit was very kind and I would highly recommend him for this type problem.

I have been to see Dr. Dixie twice and I have only seen his PA. Don’t get me wrong, she is nice, informative and takes her time to answer your questions, but I guess I expected that I would have seen the doctor once. Also after my first visit the PA said that we shouldn’t consider surgery at this time and a few days later I get an email regarding my appointment with another neurologist at Sportsmed. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told that Dr. Dixie put me in for a surgery consult! He needs to get on the same page with his PA.

Dr. Dixit was very informative about my condition and the surgery I needed. He answered all questions without rushing me or his answers.

Had C5&6 fused in 2003, in Texas. Over last 5 years or so, history repeated itself. Tried injections, PT, everything insurance requires but to no avail. Made an appointment with Dr Dixit & was immediately impressed. He was straight with me, did a through evaluation & explained options but declined final opinion until after MRI. MRI confirmed everything we suspected. Had C4-7 surgery a week later. I am pain free, symptom free & feeling better than I have in years. If you are suffering with neck or back issues, please at least talk with Dr Dixit over other choices in Huntsville. I wasted time & energy with the wrong options available to me before finding my way to Dr Dixit. I highly recommend Crestwood, SportsMED & Dr Dixit over all other options in Huntsville! Seriously.

He was the 3rd neurosurgeon I saw for a brain tumor with many symptoms, he listened to me instead of dismissing my concerns. My surgery went very well as is my recovery. The whole care team is amazing and has given me my life back

Very good care. Described the procedures and choices in great detail which was very helpful in making health decisions. He and his staff have been most helpful and attentive during my care. I would recommend to anyone needing lumbar surgery.

Surgery is never an easy thing to go through. Dr. Dixit and staff were very informative, thorough, and comforting. They worked with all of my concerns and found a way to ease my mind.

I found I trusted Dr Dixit (as much as you can "trust" after only one meeting) after our 1st office visit. I say "our" because he included me in conversation & listened to my concerns. I was comfortable agreeing to surgery, & was never left alone to wonder about anything. I was truly informed pre-surgery, minutes before surgery, & every day after.
