Dr. Saswata Roy, MD

My daughter had tonsil surgery last Friday with Dr. Roy. Our discharge paperwork advises to monitor for a fever after surgery as did the nurses in the surgical center. We were advised that a low grade fever was normal for a 3-4 days but anything above that was not. My daughter has had fevers of 102-103.5 consistently and we are on day 6 after surgery. I informed their office on Monday and they claimed this was normal. My pediatrician and the surgical center both confirmed it was not. We went in to see our pediatrician after no response from Dr. Roy’s office, and they were very surprised Dr Roy’s office had not been responsive and is not interested in seeing her. The surgical center also thought we should speak with Dr. Roy’s office concerning the fevers. I left 3 voicemails yesterday as her fever was still 102 and did not get a call back until this morning. They stated they were too busy and unable to see her and show NO interest in seeing her. If you plan for your young child to have surgery I do NOT recommend this practice as you will have a 3 minute interaction with the surgeon prior to the operation and that is ALL. Absolutely zero follow up/concern for how she is doing after and even when concern is expressed the lack of interest is beyond upsetting. I expressed to the nurse who finally called me back that I would expect SOME sort of follow up care after surgery from the surgeons office and a check or concern for potential complications and they just said “Ok. See your pediatrician. We can’t get her seen today or tomorrow.” Disappointed in their office and in myself for not doing better due diligence before selecting them.

Dr Roy was condescending, rude, and dismissive of all of my concerns. He was in a rush and interrupted me multiple times as I was trying to explain my reasons for the visit. As a busy mom of 5, it took a lot to orchestrate childcare and make an appointment for a long-standing issue and this was a terrible experience as I left with no plan of action or answers. A tragic waste of time. I would give zero stars if it were possible.

5 minutes spent with doctor/nurse should not be coded as surgery and charged at the rate of $1100. We cancelled the follow up appointment and won't be back.

Dr Roy was very professional and knowledgable. His staff were friendly and helpful. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because we waited 45 minutes past our appt time to see the surgeon.

He and his staff were very friendly and he fixed my son's chronic ear infections.

Dr. Roy is really knowlidgable, to the point, and gives all the information you need, as well as, allows you to ask questions and is able to answer you on the spot. He is very energetic and pleasant to be around.

Dr. Roy is very gentle and cares about his patients. Very happy with him. Will continue to see him!

This place was extremely efficient and had plenty of staff that was very knowledgeable.

I always look forward to appointments. My son is never upset when he leaves and loves everyone in the office. Dr. Saswata has seen my son for allergies and also removed something from his head that he was born with. There is really no scar and I am very pleased with the results. I trust all of his recommendations.

Fabulous with my newborn who needed a tongue tie clipped and patient with my other boys when we all had to come for a visit. Awesome

My teenage son had his tonsils removed by Dr. Roy. The tonsils were extremely enlarged. Dr. Roy did an excellent job. My son did not have any abnormal bleeding and we were very grateful since his tonsils were so big his oral surgeon refused to remove his wisdom teeth for fear his massive tonsils would cause complications. I really appreciate the repeated phone calls from Dr. Roy checking on my son's condition. I also appreciate the sympathy he expressed knowing the surgery was very painful for a 17 year old boy.

Dr Roy has treated my child for the last 10 years always spot on with his diagnosis. He has performed surgery on my child and explained the procedure in a manner that I could understand . Made my son feel at ease and showed genuine concern for his care.

Worst doctor I've been too, rude and inconsiderate

The most uncomfortable waiting room. We had to stand for over an hour. Senior citizens were not offered chairs.

Our family has the highest respect and regard for Dr. Roy. Dr. Roy performed Neonatal Distraction Osteogenesis surgery on our daughter when she was 7 days old. Before the procedure, we had no idea what the procedure entailed and how it would help our daughter. Dr. Roy took the time to explain the procedure in depth and answered any questions or concerns we had. He took care of our daughter like she was his own. Dr. Roy and his team are absolutely amazing! We are forever grateful and thankful for Dr. Roy and the quality of life he has given our baby girl! Dr. Roy and his innovative procedure are top notch! We highly recommend Dr. Roy to anyone who is needing his services, you will be taken care of by one of the best doctors in the country.

Dr. Roy was recommended to me by my child's pediatrician. I was able to schedule an appointment without having to wait several weeks. Dr. Roy was efficient, handled my child's issues with great care and answered all my questions patiently. I would recommend him highly.
