I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Sepehr Nowfar. He treated my 91 year old father who wasn't able to urinate without a catheter. He recommended a surgery called UroLift, which is a minimally invasive surgery that took about 10 minutes. Not only was the surgery totally successful, my father didn't have to take any medication after the surgery. I can't imagine living with a catheter, and thanks to Dr. Nowfar, my father doesn't have to neither. My father's quality of life improved greatly. Also, Dr. Nowfar is super personable and professional, but he also keeps it relatively light, which helps during a stressful situation such as needing surgery. He is one of the best doctors I have ever worked with. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Nowfar and the UroLift surgery.

I cannot comment on Dr. Nowfar's skill as a surgeon. However, my experience at his office was mostly negative. When I came with a kidney problem I was having, the nurse aggressively tried to shove a catheter through an area that was blocked, so that I passed out. Dr. Nowfar came briefly to give me possible worst case scenarios and then left. He did suggest I receive a procedure in surgery for a more comfortable experience. However, because of insurance issues it took over 6 weeks. I had to talk with one of his office's schedulers, who was consistently rude, impatient, condescending, and scolding when I had to touch base about the surgery scheduling process. After I voiced my experience with her, instead of asking about how to improve my customer experience, Dr. Nowfar canceled and refused to do the surgery, which could have been bad had my condition worsened.

Some of my test results showed there may be a problem with my kidneys. Dr. Nowfar met with me very soon after the test to review the results and put my mind at ease. There is an excellent plan for the future in place. Dr. Nowfar is not only an excellent doctor but he is also a very empathetic person.

I had bladder cancer some 20 yrs ago and had a part of a ureter removed. While a wonderful job was done by the VA I had a lot of post-surgery trauma with the catheter constantly getting blocked and the BCG treatments. I had a lot of pain for some time. I became hyper sensitive to pain and even touch and never returned for checkups to see that cancer hadn't returned. After talking to Dr. Nowfar and the support of my kids, he convinced me that he would NOT hurt me with the use of anesthesia. I can't tell you how "nervous" I was because of the past. The procedure was done at PHI where all the people were fantastic. The procedure went very well (clear). Even though for most people this would not have been a big deal, to me it very much was. The first day after I had pain with urination (more than most) but got better daily, drinking lots of water helped. Dr Nowfar earned my complete trust and is a straight shooter that will tell you the truth and be as gentle as humanly possible.

My adult daughter was referred to Dr. Nowfar after an emergency room visit resulted in a diagnosis of a very large mass in one kidney. Our family is accustomed to relying on spiritual healing, but we supported our daughter in her choice to have medical treatment. We explained this to Dr. Nowfar and he was very considerate of my daughter's background and beliefs. The cancerous growth was so large that the one kidney needed to be removed. The procedure was thorough and she has recovered well.

I was referred to Dr. Nowfar when my Primary found a mass in my abdomen. Those were Scary words for someone who is relatively healthy. I went and had the ultrasound done and it was determined that it was a Cyst on my Kidney. I did some research on Kidney Cyst and found that they are very common in individuals over the age of 50. I made my apt to see Dr. Nowfar and he was very reassuring on the options available to take care of the cyst. Mine was 13cm or 5”, a little on the larger side, He explained the two procedures that could be used and scheduled the CT scan to confirm. We chose outpatient procedure that basically inserted a long needle under twilight and extracted the fluid ( in my case 2.2LB or 1 Litter). From start to finish it was simple, I had no ill effects and felt 100% better as soon as I came too. The total time for the procedure from the time they knocked me out till I was fully awake was 1hr 15min. There is a small needle mark on my side, no bruising or pain. I went home and rested for several days no lifting or exercise and was fully functional and back to work. Dr. Nowfar has won the 2018 Urologist of the year Award. He is highly educated and one of the best, whatever your issue might be I would highly recommend Dr. Nowfar for any Urological needs

Hi, I think that Dr Nowfar is a fantastic Dr and Surgeon! You just know that he’s great at what he does and he constantly proves it! I was diagnosed with both Bladder and Kidney Cancer and Dr Nowfar saved my life by surgically removing it and treating me afterwards! He is top notch in my book and I would highly recommend seeing him for any reason! Thanks Dr for saving my life!

After being diagnosed with 3 tumors, Dr. Nowfar did a great job of explaining my options to me and helping me understand. After undergoing 2 surgeries, Dr. Nowfar was able to save my kidney. Highly recommended, he was great with dealing with my family and explaining the procedures after surgery.

Dr. Nowfar is a wonderful physician and skilled surgeon. He really helped me when other urologists couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Definetly recommend him!

Listen, I know it's hard to get a caring and smart doctor, especially with the insurance run-around. I had many other doctors refer me to him. I love him. I was scarred for my operation, but other than some pain and small scars, it all went all. I have also sent him my wife and son to take care of. I totally trust him.

Dr. Nowfar, is an amazing urologist. He has gone above and beyond for my husband. He got my husband in so quickly for surgery because he was in so much pain. He kept me informed, sat and explained everything to me and when i called after hours he called me back within 5 min. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes his time to explain or answer any questions/ concerns you may have.He and his staff worked tirelessly to get my husband approved quickly for his surgery. They were amazing..You can't find such dedication, along with the care in which Dr. Nowfar and his staff give to their patients.
