Dr. Seth William Meskin, MD

Inadequately informed me about the long term nature of my dry eye disease. Had to rely on online FB Dry Eye Patient group to learn.

Dr Meskin was described as the dry eye "guru" in Fairfield County by a referring opthalmologist. I was eager to hear his advice, as a person with distressing eye pain. When he instructed his office staff person to abruptly cancel the consultation, I felt terrible. Anyone with a serious disease deserves quality care - this man simply did not have the interest in offering his time and knowledge to me. Is patient education not worth his time? I explained to the office person that I needed to see Dr Meskin for guidance on managing my illness -- he refused. I hope that no other patient is treated in the same cruel manner. MCasey RN, MS

This is a physician who made me feel that he could not have cared less about my symptoms. I am an RN, though Dr. Meskin was not aware of that.

Dr. Meskin recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. The results were excellent. Dr. Meskin is an excellent surgeon and doctor. He is very thorough and patient, answering all questions and putting his patients at ease. The team at Eye Physicians and Surgeons, from Dr. Meskin's assistant Jen to the office staff and very professional and personable. I would highly recommend them for any eye need you may have.

Dr. Meskin is very precise and knowledgeable at what he does. He is very patient, compassionate and explanatory of the cataract procedure. He answers all questions and takes his time explaining things to the patient. I had 2 cataracts removed by him and the lenses replaced. It is amazing what he has done for me and how I can see. I only have to wear glasses for distance and watching television. I could just about see the computer before I had surgery and was blind as a bat without my glasses before. I am so grateful to him for how he has helped me. You are in good hands with Dr. Meskin.

I am a 78 year old , who had a lazy eye, a cataract, and a stigmatism, with very little eyesight in my right eye. DR MESKIN did surgery and put in a toric lense less than a week ago and my visit today was absolutely amazing!!! I could see perfect. I never encountered any pain after surgery. I can’t thank him enough for giving me my eyesight back. Dr Meskin is an amazing knowledgeable perfectionist . He listens ,and answers all your questions,and puts your mind at ease. An A+++ experience with Dr Meskin. He performed cataract surgery on both eyes with miraculous results. No complications following surgery. He carefully explained entire procedure as well as excellent post surgery followup. He also has a very caring staff working with him. Dr Meskin was highly recommended to me and I would absolutely concur.

I had corneal and cataract surgery done by Dr. Meskin and he is BRILLIANT! He not only is a great, skillful surgeon, he is very thorough and caring about his patients. His staff, every one, are attentive and wonderful to work with. I cannot praise Dr. Meskin and his staff enough for their attention to patients and, in my opinion, all deserve five stars! Be confident in the expertise and care of Dr. Meskin whom I highly recommend.

I was very nervous about having this surgery because it was more difficult than usual. Dr. Meskin was very patient with me. I was completely at ease from the minute I met him. He explained the surgery in detail and never rushed through my appointment. After surgery he was just as caring and again explained the process of healing that was taking place. I can not stress enough what a wonderful doctor he is and how highly I recommend him. Dr. Meskin is Mr. Rogers in a white coat, without a sweater!! This is a total compliment!!! He is soft spoken and a very calming presence. I would give him 10 stars!! He is that good!!!

I had a sense of confidence in Dr Meskin and his staff. They provided an atmosphere in which I felt at ease, and cared for by professionals. My two cataract surgeries were easy and without any discomfort, and the result was a significant improvement in my vision. I recommend Dr. Meskin without reservation.

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Meskin in Milford, and it was wonderful. I can see perfectly one day after surgery. I stayed awake for the surgery, but had local anesthetic to the eye, so I can tell any patient who is apprehensive or nervous, do not worry. He is a talented surgeon, but also very caring, (as is all of the staff). I was amazed that the entire procedure was less than 10 minutes. He is very thorough and also will answer all of your questions, never hurried, and you can tell he really cares about helping you. I am so grateful to see clearly again. For three years, I could not see very well at all with this eye, but I felt I could trust him to help me right away when I went to his office. The staff there also is very, very good. He is also a very respectful doctor, as well as knowledgeable and skilled. They all have great teamwork for such a busy practice, and make the whole process of having surgery much, much easier than it usually is. I am so happy to have my eye clear and vision back to normal. Vision is such a beautiful, precious gift, and you can feel safe, confident and relaxed, and know you will receive excellent care with Dr. Meskin and all of his team. Thank you, to all of them!

Before and after my cataract surgery, Dr. Meskin spent so much time with me answering all my millions of questions. I never felt rushed. He explained everything. I was terrified of the eye surgery, but he set my mind at ease. He is an excellent skillful eye surgeon. Before the surgery, my vision was worse than 20/200. Now it is 20/20!! He performs miracles!! The office staff was very unfriendly and I never saw the doctor in less than an hour past my appointment time. When I called with a problem only the technician called back, never the doctor.

I was very nearsighted for years. I think I presented Dr.Me skin with a challenge when I went to see him for cataract surgery.. ON TOP OF I was very, very nearsighted since a very young age. On top of that I had had a detached retina years ago,so I think I presented Dr. Meskin with quite a challenge To sum it up with one word, AMAZING, doesn't do him or the procedure justice. He explained everything, the surgery center was welcoming and put you at your ease. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Meskin and would recommend him to anyone. His staff was always professional and friendly. I cannot believe the difference in my vision.

The doctor was friendly and very helpful. However in 9 years I have NEVER waited less than 3/4 to 1 hour beyond my appointment time.

So kind. So wonderful. A smart and thoughtful doctor. One of a kind. A real mensch.
