Dr. Seth Charles Wachsman, MD

On the phone and in person. Staff is impatient and cold. Thought I would put up with that because the doctor came recommended to me. After meeting the doctor, it was my first and last time with him. No wonder staff is the way they are. They learned it from the doctor(s).

During the last several months, he has preformed several out patient procedures that has improved her life quality by keeping her pain at minimum. Prior, she was bed bound for months. Dr Wachsman truly listens to the patient, evaluates each person to meet every need and concern for the individual. You are not just a number at his office. His front and back office personnel go above and beyond for the patients as well. He has several office locations, including a state of the art out patient surgical center. You will not find a better physician for your loved ones, or self. "

I worked as a critical care nurse (RN III) in a major metropolitan hospital for over 30 years, a hospital that was listed in the top 25 hospitals of the US. I know the good physicians from the bad ones. I can assure you that Dr. Wachsman is the real deal. He is knowledgeable and experienced. For the past two years I have had great difficulty ambulating and spent more than 12 hours a day sitting on a heating pad. I had numerous spinal blocks, but nothing helped. Dr. Wachsman was able to open the bony passages that were impinging on the nerves, relieving the encompassing pain in my lower back and legs, a procedure that no other doctor even suggested. Now, I walk over a mile around the park with only minor discomfort. I am thoroughly confused about a review I saw that attacked Dr. Wachsman for posting that he does not carry malpractice insurance. Was this person looking for a pain management physician or just someone to sue? Many successful long-standing, medical practices choose self-funded liability. What does this have to do with the medical expertise of the doctor or the medical facility? I also question why vitals.com would allow such a posting, as it has nothing to do with the physician's medical competence. Not only did they allow this spurious comments, but allowed it to be posted twice…. probably by a new and competing facility in the area.

Lets cut to the chase! I am the unfortunate recipient of a medical condition often referred to as the "suicide disease." I saw numerous neurologists, oral surgeons, internist, ENT, and other physicians, but none of them had a viable solution to offer. My general practitioner was simply throwing medication at it. The pain occupies the center of your focus, undermining your ability to even think. It was only Dr. Wachsman who offered me hope. It was only Dr. Wachsman who fought for me. Through the administration of sphenopalatine blocks, pulsed radiofrequency, and the trial of different medication regimes, He was able to beat down the pain to an tolerable level. Given my experiences with Dr. Wachsman, I have to question the motives and petty behavior behind any poor reviews I have seen on this site.

A reason for this may be his quick to judge without performing diagnostic testing. Another reason may be for his Management staff lack of empathy for patient care. Dr Wachsman is the best Dr I have ever been too, he has helped me tremendously and for the first time in 30 years I’m able to sleep. So thankful for him.

Dr. Wachsman is the first doctor in 3 years that finally pinpointed what my problem was, where my pain was coming from. He was able to do this and cure it!! I was agitated, fed up and ready to give up. I'm so happy I took one more shot on a different doctor. Thank you Dr. Wachsman for keeping it real and doing your job like a pro! I owe this man everything. He still keeps up to date with me through appointments and it has become so casual. I actually enjoy going to my visits at his office. Any time I do injections he always follows up with me. I appreciate this man and am so happy I gave a doctor one last shot because he has changed my life.

I've had 4 surgeries for my back but my pain never went away. With Dr. Wachsmans first attempt at his procedure, the pain was immediately gone and I am still amazed. It was way less of a recovery time than surgery and didn't even leave a scar. The day after my surgery I was able to bend down to grab things and rolling over the next morning I did without even thinking about it. Dr. Wachsman compared it to the cheeseburger test and he definitely helped me pass with flying colors.

Very detailed. Obvious passion for the field and patients. I use a translator because my english is not good. Dr. W still looks at me and talks to me despite our use of a translator. I appreciate it much, very important. Great caring doc. I recommend to all.

7 years ago my neurologist referred me to Dr. Wachsman for tingling in my hands. I am so grateful! I see him about 4 or 5 times a year. He is always up to date and is constantly talking of new ways to cure my pain when it becomes intolerable. He is very detailed and you know he has done in depth research before presenting and offering. He has helped me live through my neck, shoulder and hand pain. I could not imagine my life without this referral. Anyone who has chronic pain and thinks it is unsolvable, go to Dr. Wachsman!

I remember going under for my neck injections pretty well. Dr. Wachsman relaxed me without even trying. He came into the room singing right before he was about to do my injection. It made me laugh and calmed my nerves. He even made a joke as the last thing I remember before my eyes shut. I woke up numb and then the next day I woke up with no pain. I was able to roll over in bed without a worry. I turned my head on the way to work and it was the first time I truly felt safe and was able to check all angles again while driving. I have not experienced a single headache since these injections. He not only knows how to cure people, but also make them at ease and laugh during a stressful event. I would recommend him to anyone I know in pain.

without dr wachsman im not sure how I would deal with my every day pain. He provides me with the care I need to cope with my gunshot wounds. before I met him I was unsure if I would ever walk again. because of him I have been able to get out of my wheelchair. I am not walking on my own but I do only use a cane now. each day gets better and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel because of him. I have confidence that my health is under control with him. I feel like he wants me to get better almost as much as my wife and kids want me to get better. my thigh definitely does not feel like same pain it use to. It has improved greatly.

Dr. Wachsman really stays up to date on methods and research in the pain management field. He can pull facts out of his pocket like it is nothing. He never fails to leave me amazed. Most recently, he discussed with me the updated battery operated implant. He discussed how it has changed over the years. It is now bluetooth and he explained how everything operates. He even went out of his way to have a person from the stimulator company come attend my appointment. He was able to give me brochures that further clarified what he had explained to me. He dumbed it down so that it all made sense. I believe that I am going to try this bluetooth device. I trust his judgement.

I had so many worries about being put to sleep for my back injection. I woke up after the shot asking when it was going to be done. Dr. Wachsman was standing over me and said it had already been done. I was amazed. I went back to sleep and rested for the day. I woke up with no pain at all. He gave my life back to me. I'm happy I was given the option to be put to sleep. The thing is with Dr. Wachsman is that there are always options. You always feel like you have power and are in control every step of the way.

I was paired with Dr. Wachsman through my workers compensation case. Workers comp takes forever but Dr. Wachsman ensures that the experience is the opposite. We talked about a procedure that would help get rid of my neck and shoulder pain. I figured it would take months to be able to get this done. Dr. Wachsman and his staff worked diligently and I had the procedure within a few weeks. I am still amazed that this occurred. The procedure worked too and I no longer experience the same pains. He also helped me arrange transportation to and from the surgery center. He really aims to please his patients.

Dr Wachsman is compassionate and kind. He is well experienced and knowledgable. His bedside manners are extremely appropriate. I have felt nothing but care the few times I have been under his treatment. During my first visit he even found a way to shape stating my age into a compliment. I appreciate his kind and tender care. It feels almost rare that I receive this type of treatment from doctors nowadays.

My dad was upset because he was unable to play with his grandkids outside. All he wanted was to throw a football and be able to watch his grandsons at their Saturday games. His lower back pain would not allow him to play outside with them and he was not able to sit long enough to watch an entire game. I took him to see Dr. Wachsman and he was able to perform a block that has given my dad the pleasure of fulfilling both of these dreams. It has blocked his pain for 3 months now. Dr. Wachsman was not surprised by the improvement in my father's pain. He even told us that if the pain ever returned he had another procedure that would zap the nerves completely. He seemed really confident in this possibility as well.

Doctor Wachsman is wonderful. The only area of improvement I would offer him is to be more on time with his patients. However, I strongly believe he occasionally runs behind only because he spends so much time listening to what his patients have to say. He has never once cut my appointment short. If we run over the 15 minute mark, he does not seem to be phased. He wants to hear all I have to say before thinking of a viable plan of action. This is very very important in a doctor. He does his job very well.

I saw Dr. Wachsman for the first time a few months ago. I have been absolutely impressed with him ever since then. He truly cares for me and he makes it obvious every time I see him. He offers solutions that work, not just make him money. He makes it evident that he does not want me in pain and it is extremely believable when he tells me he does not wish to see me suffer. I have done two procedures with him and they were both so helpful. I have not been in any pain since these. I am lucky to call Dr. Wachsman my pain management physician.
