I am a patient with many health issues. Leukemia survivor and autoimmune disorders. He’s always helpful, generous with his time, and knowledgeable. Wonderful staff. Feels like you’re part of the family.

Being a 66-year-old man, I've been through maybe 20 or 30 primary care physicians over the course of my life. During my Navy time I even had a couple who worked for me. Simply put, Dr Hernesman is the best of the best-- the most caring, careful, and responsive physician I have ever known. He takes the time to listen, explains all options, and makes recommendations based on the best current protocols. To do that me must remain current on evolving treatment and medicine options. He is also better at many of the clinical procedures than many other primary care physicians who would rather refer you to a specialist than take care of simple things themselves. Dr Hernesman has my absolute highest recommendation. Not only is he a great physician, based on nearly a year of interfacing with him I can tell that he is also a very good man.

My wife and I moved to this area a couple of years ago and where fortunate to find Dr. Hernesman as our Primery care physician. Whe we moved here I had several health issues. The Doctor and office staff are very knowledgeable,friendly,efficient,caring,and pro active. I am now 72 and feel great knowing that Julie and I are medically in fantastic hands!!! In the past couple of years my family has seen him to our Delight. However lately he's taken a complete 180 not sure what is on his mind but treating patients is not time to think about finding a new Dr. His staff takes forever to call back and you have to keep reminding them to refill a prescription that you've called in days ago

Dr. Hernesman is an excellent physician and should have a 5 star rating. Always takes time with his patients, at. least that's been my experience.

Hubby & I both like this doctor and as his nurse practicioner, and we are in our 70's and have met a lot of other doctors! We recommended a friend and she likes them too.

Usually I see Marzie, the excellent P.N. and have also been seen by Dr, Herenesman. Both are excellent diagnosticians and pay attention to what their patients are saying and doing.

Dr. H. has taken the time to sit down and have a conversation, not simply him speaking and you listening as is the case with many doctors. He is also knowledgeable about sports related issues. I readily recommend him. The office staff is helpful and if Dr. H. is not available, will make an appointment with the PA if that is acceptable to me.

I've seen Dr Hernesman for several years and recently moved 50 miles from his office. Because of the excellent care he's given me I may keep seeing him despite the long drive.

We have gone to Dr. Hernesman for 6 years. We used to think he was great, but over the years, he has become so afraid of being sued that it has limited what he will do as a physician. He's just become too afraid of lawyers to be a good doctor. His office staff has also become harder to deal with (having to call them 3-4 times to remind them to call in a prescription when it was needed days ago)...sometimes before finally being told after a week of waiting that the doctor would actually not fill it.

Good Listener and he visits his patients in the hospital even if you've been referred to another specialist

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Hernesman for over 5 years now. He is very knowledgeable, listens to what you have to say, and you never feel rushed during your appointment time. I feel he is very thorough. He also has a wonderful bedside manner. I know this first hand, as I was just recently hospitalized 2 times.

I have been seeing Dr. Hernesman for over 10 years. I cannot say enough good things about his professionalism, willingness to listen, evaluate affordable alternatives, etc. I have never had an issue getting access to him.

Always available for same-day appts, but if you're going to yell at the staff who would put you in same-day?

Never let me down. Returned my call on a Sunday evening.Was right there when I was transported to Hospital. This one's a keeper.

This was the second time that I had a significant issue that warranted same-day diagnosis, but was told his schedule was full. The previous problem had been strep throat, this on was a more serious medical issue that does not require a visit to the ER (yet?). What is the point of having a primary care doctor if you can't get in to see him for something urgent?

Dr. Shane Hernsman is very professional but easy to talk to. I am glad we found him to be our family doctor.
