I have found Dr. Kamarei to be thorough and careful with diagnosis and treatment. She takes time with each patient and I never feel rushed.

I was looking for a new primary care doctor as my doctor retired. Dr. Kamarei was recommended to me and though I had to wait 2 months for an appointment, I finally went to see her. She was not particularly warm, but that's okay - she's a doctor not my friend. After going over my history, she began to recommend, what I believe are unnecessary tests. Though I am a senior, I do not have any significant health issues, and believe that tests, particularly involving radiation, can be unnecessary. She wanted to do a bone density test, though I have no symptoms. When I explained that I would not take any medication for bone loss as the side effects were more than I was willing to do, she said that I could take Vitamin D. So I asked why I wouldn't just take the Vitamin D and avoid the radiation from the test. But worse, she ordered a full blood workup - which was fine with me, but I told her, as it was 2pm, I had not fasted. She said that was fine, and they wouldn't test cholesterol. Two days later the results came back. I got a call from the office that my cholesterol was high and she was putting me on Lipitor. I explained the situation, and the fact that I was allergic to statens. And that the test wasn't accurate as I hadn't fasted. No response. So the next day I went to the office, asked for a referral to re-do the test, as I had fasted. They said that Medicare wouldn't pay for another test. I asked for the referral anyway, and that I would pay for it. I wasn't going to take medication without accurate test results, and she shouldn't want me to. Then I went to the blood lab, and they told me Medicare would pay for the re-test (but that the test only cost $20 if I had to pay for it, though I didn't). The results came back and my cholesterol was 40 points lower. Needless to say, I found another doctor

She is fantastic. Often she is late, but you know she is giving the person the attention they need and she will give you the same. She finds solutions, and gets things done.

Dr. Kamarei cares for myself and my 2 older daughters. She takes her time with with each of us at the visits. She is smart, and kind. She makes sure you understand the diagnosis and treatment plans. She is like an old time doctor, rare to find.

Disappointing. I will sincerely miss Dr. Orr. They called me several times to make an intro appointment with the new Dr. and then had no appointments available. wait time was over an hour and then 25 minutes more in the room. She changed Dr. Orr's medical orders and her orders have not been helpful.

She spent more time with me than any other Dr. I have seen in my 65 years! She carefully studied lab results and asked questions to help me articulate my complaint. She communicated clearly and gave me a written summary and plan of action. I felt like a real person with her, not just another patient or case. I highly recommend Dr. Kamarei.

I think one time they forgot I was even in the room. Wait is usually 45 minutes, and I've waited up to an hour and a half...that's WITH an appointment!

Absolutely a wonderful experience. First class practice and first class doctor.

She was my assigned PCP. I went in not expecting too much as she didn't have good reviews online from other ppl, thought I'd give her a try anyway. Horrible. Waited about an hour in room (in gown, practically naked). No one came to check on me. When started on my physical, I was a bit nervous and didn't "sit" correctly in the position that she wanted, she said "no, no, no this way." in a rude tone. (At least to me it came off rude) She seem professional but very mono-tone...not sympathetic nor warm.
