This Neurologist has done wonders for me. I highly recommend Dr. Rosen-Schmidt. PK

Well, now that he's seeing a good neurologist, that abnormality is the cause of my husband's issues. Dr. Rosen-Schmidt could have saved us months of testing, other doctors and my husband getting worse. Run away from her. She doesn't care about the patient. Her staff is bad as well. We had to make multiple phone calls to get someone to follow-up on test orders, paperwork transfers, etc.

Dr Rosen-Schmidt is a great neurologist and doctor. At every appointment she takes the time to go through issues and think about next steps and results. I truly appreciate her compassion and care. Her staff is also very kind and personable.

I was referred to see Dr. Shari Rosen-Schmidt at Texas Neurology Consultants. It was difficult to get through to anyone in the office but I was finally able to reach someone to schedule an appointment, so no big deal. I had heard that Shari was supposed to be a smart neurologist, so I was hopeful. She conducted an exam extremely quickly and listened to my symptoms with a kind of weird skeptical expression on her face. Then, instead of having an assistant transcribe her notes after my appointment, she went on to spend the remaining 10-15 minutes of my appointment time typing her notes into her computer while kind of muttering what she was slowly typing out loud. It was a bit surreal. After she was finished using our valuable appointment time slowly transcribing her notes, she leaned back in her seat, folded her hands behind her head and looked at me over the tops of her grimy glasses and said she did not think we would ever find out what was causing my symptoms. She said I might go from doctor to doctor if I had the money, but she did not think I would ever find out what was wrong. I was floored and speechless. It felt like she was saying she did not believe there was anything wrong with me! I had waited weeks for this appointment and this is what I got. I found another neurologist based on good reviews. This neurologist ordered a simple CT scan and identified the cause of my pain. In my follow-up visit he explained very clearly the cause of my symptoms and recommended treatment. I would recommend finding a neurologist other than Shari Rosen-Schmidt.

I have seen Dr. Rosen-Schmidt for over 10 years. I wouldn't change neurologists ever! She is great and her staff is very well trained. The only issue is sometimes there is a wait, but I don't mind because I know that is because she spends time with those who need it, and I have caused her to run late previously when I needed more time.

Dr. Rosen-Schmidt is a wonderful doctor!! She really tries to listen, ask questions, and figure out how to help me. She spent a full hour at my first appointment with me, and averages 20 to 25 minutes on other visits. She is always nice and down-to-earth and makes sure I understand the plan. I love her and have referred friends who also say how much they like her!

Dr. is ok, nurse is horrible. Rude, condescending, always right (when usually incorrect). My suggestion is to find another neurologist office.

I took my mom to see Dr. Rosen-Schmidt, and it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had at a Dr.s office. She has a terrible bedside manner. No patience, and as others have said, incredibly rude visual actions, such as sighing, interrupting, really made my mom upset. Would never recommend to anyone.

I have been struggling with a neurological problem for 6 months and have seen numerous other doctors hoping to find out what in the world is wrong. Today I met with Dr. Shari Rosen-Schmidt and this is the most hope I have had in a very long time. I think of myself as a pretty smart guy, and Shari is an extremely bright doctor. She is personable and relaxed - very real. She is amazingly observant and was tenacious in her very active listening and digging into my description of my symptoms and their onset. And each and every person on her staff that I interacted with was warm, friendly and sharp. I walked out of that office saying to myself, "Thank God! I finally found a great doctor!"

The nurse/medical assistant do not have a pleasant attitude. Especially when returning phone calls. She has an "I don't care attitude" and basically rushes you off the phone. Her tone is monotone as if she does not like her job. When she contacted me I asked "how are you" and she did not acknowledge my question but basically gave me information and rushed off the phone. As a caregiver ..you should care -- point blank. There are other awkward incidences that I choose not to share on this review but will On my next appointment. Thus this has changed my outlook on continuing to see Dr. Rosen-Schmidt. She is a good doctor but needs a nurse that is cordial and has a better attitude about her job. Especially if she is the first line of communication. As much as I pay for insurance and co pays, the customer service should be better. If anyone should be grouchy it should be the patients..we did not ask to sick. Not acceptable!!

The rudest healthcare environment I have ever experienced. The doctors have no idea how poor the administrative staff is. I missed multiple prescriptions and wasted too much time trying to get presriptions filled with a complete lack of response. They continued to be rude the entire time. Dr. Rosen-Schmidt practically kicked me out of the office during my last appointment as soon as she walked in the room.

Equivocation, information reservation, unsatisfactory competence, lack of respect for patients, uninterested in patients needs.

This doctor acts as though new patients are taking up her time. To be quite honest I felt like she thought I was a pin and should have gone somewhere else. She is quite rude and sighs a lot. Really? No smiles just frowns

I. Understand the frustration of the voicemail system but if you leave one message her assistant will call you back same day.the office staff is like any other.. Nothing special.. They are there to take your money and set your appointments...but I like dr. Rosen Schmidt ! She asks a lot questions and makes sure to refer back to her notes on every visit to compare any changes you are going through. She documents every word literally ! When I first saw her I was kind of hesitant .. She doesn't look like a doctor. But she does know what he is doing and try's to find a relief to whatever you are going to.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rosen Schmidt's for several years now. I love her and trust her as a medical professional. However, her office staff leaves a lot to be desired. For starters, it is very difficult to schedule/change an appointment, i.e. you have to leave a message and wait for a return phone call. I am a teacher and can not always sit around waiting for a return call and often end up playing phone tag. Due to a miscommunication, I was charged a "no show" fee by the office, even though I had called and left a message well in advance. Like I said, I have been a patient for many years and have never no showed on my appt. When I called to talk to the office staff (Dr. Rosen's assistant), she was very condescending and essentially accused me of lying. She finally said, "Ok, I'll "give" you this one." Honestly, I cannot believe how I was treated by someone that is supposed to be a professional. I decided to call the office manager and didn't get anywhere with her either. I voiced my frustration with the message system and was told that they did a survey before implementing the system and that is how the majority of doctor's offices handle calls these days. She continued by telling me that they are VERY busy and do not have time to answer phone calls. Really??? I happen to be VERY busy myself. The office manager was equally rude and condescending, eventually hanging up on me. After several years I am left looking for a new neurologist. Save yourself some time and hassle and go somewhere else to begin with!

I was referred to Dr. Rosen-Schmidt by another doctor as a professional curtesy. Unfortunately, Dr. Rosen-Schmidt needs help herself as she treated me like I had leprosy or was some kind of untouchable. Seriously, she did not want to help me with anything in the office and visually made faces to that extent. It was obvious that she did not want to work with me. She made me feel like dirt and after my last visit, I spent the rest of the day crying. I can never recommend this woman as she has issues of her own and probably needs help herself mentally. She is totally void of compassion. The office staff was cold as well. The only bright spot in the whole office was Dr. Rosen-Schmidt's nurse who seemed embarressed over Dr. Rosen-Schmidts bizarre behavior towards me.

After my intial visit, Dr. Rosen Schmidt scheduled a brain mri and an emg. Although I had already been thru 2 emgs before. She concluded that she knew the doctor of the one who read my emg and she didnt trust his findings. So I scheduled the emg. Got to the office and proceeded to not be greeted by the front desk. They wanted 70 dollars for the test. I asked if that was based on the allowable insurance price. The insurance lady came out and said that the 70 is an estimate. I asked why is it an estimate when you know what your allowable charge is. I then asked how much the test was and never got an answer. I said I would pay 50 and then I had a credit on my account but the insurance lady said the credit was caculated in the 70 dollars. I received no paperwork or a statement from this office. After the insurance lady agreed 20 minutes later the office manager came out and said I needed to pay the 70 dollars before the doctor would do the test. At this point my husband was very upset and the manager said call security and kicked us out of the office. This all was out in the lobby which violates hippa regulations not to mention embarrassing. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. The office staff are awful and refuse to give you any proof of what you asked for financially. All doctors office know their allowables so they can figure your copay. If the doctor decides more testing is needed at the time then you can always pay more when you check out. OH and I forgot to mention the first visit they over charged my copay, therefore my reasoning of only paying the 50 dollars. I never have had a doctors office refuse to care for me and especially over such a little amount of 20.00.

No bedside manner, doesn't listen, already has her mind made up before you finish talking. I don't know why she has you come back because she doesn't listen to what has been going on since the last visit or just dismisses it and rushes you out. And I don't think it has been the same nurse there in all the times I have been in! I would not recommend her to anyone if you want to get well. I leave feeling angry and depressed and am looking for someone else.
