Dr. Sofia Qadir, MD

This office does not return phone calls even in crisis. When you have called they’re “on call” service noone EVER calls back. I put in a call to the office manager thinking it might be a breakdown in something with the after hours service and she basically asked me if I wanted to make an appointment with the doctor and I said no I’m trying to find out if there is another doctor available within the Tri county practice and she said then go to somebody else and hung up the phone before I could finish what I was saying. I was not being rude or raising my voice. This is how this office treats people with anxiety and panic disorder. I thought maybe it was just this office because when you call the on call it list about 10 doctors. So the last time I had an appointment with the doctor she was on the phone for six minutes and that was including wait time. Never answers my question but I just assumed that was how things are as I’ve never been to a psychiatrist in the past.

I agree wholeheartedly with other 1 star reviews. I still have nightmares.

She is an extremely gifted psychiatrist helped my daughter immensely .

The doctor may or may not be a lovely person; I wouldn't know. Her staff NEVER answers the phone when you call; when I have managed to get a human being on the phone I have been lied to, interrupted, talked over, talked down to, and basically made to feel as though I'm the one being an inconvenience for daring to try to get help with my depression and anxiety. You cannot treat people with these issues like that! After dealing with her receptionist I spent half the day having panic attacks and dealing with severe depression flare-ups. I'm sorry I did not get a chance to meet the doctor herself, many people seem to like her, but for my own mental and emotional health I will not subject myself to her receptionist any longer. She has lost a patient due to her staff.

I am really unhappy, when I went to see her, instead of paying attention to the patient she kept texting and checking her phone. You can call all day long and leave messages they never call back, that's if you are lucky to leave a message. Worse Dr. and Staff ever...

I have never actually seen dr Quadir, but i have seen her nurse practitioner. The actual practitioner was great, but the office staff is completely ridiculous. They are rude, they never answer the telephone, and i had to drive all the way across town to pick up a prescription only to find the office locked after i was told there would be staff present to assist me. If this was a regular business, and not a doctor who i actually need to see, I would NEVER return based on the disrespect and rude attitude from the office help. They act as if no one has a job except for them.

She cares less what happen to you all she cares about is money.......She is heartless. should not be in the medical or psychiatrist fields.

I have been going here for over 6 months and never even saw this doctor. All nurse practitioners giving out meds, not even close to what I have been getting for 15 years. AND the wait is 2 to 4 hours after you arrive. DO NOT go there unless it is an emergency!!!!!!!!!

Would not recommend seeing this dr. She only works 1 or 2 days per week so appointments are months away... not good when you are a mental health patient and need help.

Dr Sophia Quadir has been the best psychiatrist I've ever gone to. I don't know why people are bashing on her office. It's a shame that mostly people with bad experiences are the ones writing reviews whereas most people that have good experiences don't think to leave good feedback for the doc. Dr sophia Qadir is very gentle and patient. She listens intently to what you have to say and she genuinely cares about your wellbeing and wants to see you get better! She has been practicing for many years and has great judgement on what is best for you the patient. I have been going to her every month for almost a year now to her office on east miller street and even though her practice is very busy I've only had one time where I had to wait longer then 10 minutes to see her. I believe she tries her best to be punctual. I would definitely recommend going to her over any other psychiatrist. Since going to her I am now doing much better and am even off all my medication. She's a life saver!

Much much better! I have been going to this office for quite a while and it is much better than it used to be. While I admit there have been some rough patches, what office doesn't have it's issues? You should see what goes on at my primary care physician's office (now those are some issues). Still, Tricounty is under new management it appears and many things have changed for the better. The downtown office has been repainted so it has a homier feel and the office staff is not the same as it once was. The wait time has dramatically decreased. I try to keep in mind that the doctor also treats patients at the hospital so there has been an ocassion or two when she's been stuck at the hospital and arrived late, but she is definitely worth the wait. Miss Bette, the nurse practitioner, has sometimes filled in for her on those ocassions and she is a sweetheart. They are really great doctors and the front desk ladies are great. They call me to remind me of my appointments and are always able to get me my refills whenever I call. Lately, I've even been able to email them whenever I'm too busy to give them a call. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr told me to come in even as late as 7 pm and if she is there she will see me.She has been my support and knows about her patients. The staff now is very helpful.

Good doctor, but she's only at the Metrowest office one day a week therefore you can wait for hours to see the doctor. Plan your day around your visit around your appointment. I have sat in the office for over 3 hours in the waiting room,

This office is the WORST EVER! The office administration is so freaking rude and NOT helpful EVER. Don't ask them for anything because they won't do it. I need my records and have been asking for months with no help just the run around. The older white lady that checks you in is the only nice person behind the glass. Why would RUDE, OBNOXIOUS and LAZY people work in a psychiatrist office with mentally ill people??? People go there for help not to feel worse. Carol is nice too, she's the nurse practitioner there but everyone else is COMPLETELY USELESS! DO NOT EVER GO THERE unless you want to be more depressed and crappy feeling!

The office staff is very rude, and play too many run-around games when dealing with patients, I've also noticed that the office staff seems very vague and rude. This will be my first and last time there. I don't havr to put up with people like that especially when i'm the payee.

I like Dr. Qadir. She seems to be generally knowledgable, is thoughtful, and will take whatever time is necessary to discuss the current problem. Unfortunately, she is never on time, even for the first appointment of the afternoon. On occasion, she seems to have operated without any sense of time. Once I waited more than 1 1/2 hours because she was involved with discussions with an interior decorator. Once I waited more than 2 hours, only to be told that she had left the office for the day, and another time I waited more than an hour to meet with her for an appointment scheduled at her request due to some adverse medical reactions to a new medication. The problem with keeping to a schedule is not just with Dr. Qadir. Another time, I had an appointment with Carol, only to wait for more than 2 hours; I stopped Carol as she was leaving at the end of the day, keys in hand. She had not been told that I was there and my file had not been pulled for her by office staff. I have spoken with Dr. Qadir about the rudeness and inefficiency of the staff, but the same surly, resentful staff members have been there for the 4 years that I have been a patient. I said something to the office manager, who told me to sit down and be quiet. It bothers me to have to smile at a receptionist who treats me as if I were pond scum. If this were a commercial business, it would have closed its doors long ago, because no one would return unless absolutely necessary.

The staff at the downtown miller office are not able to multi-task and are asked to take phone calls while doing their primary jobs. Thus the receptionist is simultaneously entering record information and makes mistakes. They did not record my last appointment, nor which medications had been prescribed previously and a lone sticky note that described that confirmed my story was ignored. The put multiple people on hold and lost their calls, lost paperwork and treated the patients poorly. This is really the last resort for anyone considering their help.

She will write you a script for whatever you want to get you out of there and go to the next patient
