Dr. Sophia Ioannis Pachydaki, MD

Without a doubt, Dr. Pachydaki is one of the best Ophthalmology Specialist in this part of the country. I have had to have some rather extensive eye treatments in the last year and as a result, I had gone to several Ophthalmology Specialists for these treatments. However, none of the others were as caring and understanding as Dr. Pachydaki was to me. She, along with her compassionate and supportive staff, patiently answered all of my questions and properly addressed all of my concerns. Moreover, as a result of her rapid and precise medical treatment, my vision was greatly restored. Dr. Pachydaki is clearly one of the best physicians I have ever been treated by because of her immense expertise, keen medical knowledge and enthusiastic passion for treating her patients.

My eye Dr. Sophia Packydaki saved my eyes and my life. I'm one of her patients from the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI. Dr. Pachydaki was THE doctor who carried me through my vision obstacles with type1 diabetes.... and while some of my appointments were a bit lengthy I totally understood that each patient has a unique situation which must be dealt with in a specialized way. So patience was my virtue. I didn't wan't her to rush MY appointment to get to her next appointment faster...that would possibly compromise my visit. I was 26 years old and at a time in my life where my vision was about to be all but lost. My Dr. Sophia Packydaki's skill and professionalism paired with my patience saved that part of my life. I can see that she is very busy but when you have an appointment at 9:10 and still waiting for two screaming kids at 10:35 and still waiting is ridiculous.

Dr Pachydaki is a very kind, considerate, and knowledgeable doctor. She spends time to explain the diagnosis, and what she is going to do to solve the problem. I am so thankful I have the privilege of being cared for by her. I am seeing her in the Canton Ohio office, Vitreo-Retinal Consultants. There is a shuttle bus that comes from the office in Canton to Wooster Eye Center, Wooster, Ohio, to pick up patients for problems, that Wooster doesn't provide any solutions for. When you have macular degeneration, (wet form), all these good things mean so much.
