Dr. Hamilton quite literally CHANGED my life with refractive lens exchange (RLE) surgery performed in Aug & Sept (2020). I'm an active 64 yo & now have vision that I had as a 24 yo sans glasses...and to me this is immeasurable! Dr. Hamilton's highly-skilled, pragmatic & very individualized practice approach and actions are exemplary...plus, the large team at Eye Consultants of Atlanta are all caring eye-care professionals too. I love to hike, bike, paddle, swim and have already logged a lot of miles since my surgeries. Coronavirus in 2020 and our pandemic-tilted world taught me that since our lives had to change, shift or lull that it was probably just a wise time to make a valuable investment in my own health and there was no one better to do this with than with Dr. Hamilton who is an ophthalmic pro in every sense of the word who truly loves his craft and significantly helps people and boy did he REALLY help me for which I am forever thankful! In a nutshell, this was simply a life game changer for me and Dr. Hamilton pulled this off perfectly! Hello ocean, trails, rivers & paths...many more steps & strokes to come & ALL without glasses. I saw Dr. Hamilton for the first time today. I have a cataract and was told by another doctor I needed surgery. Dr. Hamilton said it did not seem to be impairing my vision and I could come back in a year unless I feel it worsens. His staff was very thorough and he was so nice. Great experience!

Highly Skilled Physician

Eye Consultants of Atlanta has great doctors and staff that treat you with care. Dr. Hamilton is my ophthalmologist and I feel he takes excellent care of my eyes. I have diabetes and I trust him to ensure that my eyes remain healthy.

Dr. Hamilton is truly the best. He is a perfectionist who strives to give each patient the best vision and treatment possible. My LASIK experience could not have been better. His staff is top notch from the front office to the back office. They greet you as if they’ve known you forever. Dr Hamilton also exudes professionalism and caring attitude each time he sees you. So worth the 2 hour drive to his office.

I think Dr. Hamilton really loves what he does because his work is done with profession this man is always moving I wish more eye doctors in his profession would join in on this journey with him ?

My son recommended Dr. Stephen Hamilton and I am very thankful he did! I have been a patient of Dr. Hamilton’s for several years and have been extremely pleased with him as a doctor as well as the staff that works alongside him. I came to Dr. Hamilton with mild glaucoma, astigmatism in both eyes, extreme dry eye and the beginning of cataracts. Dr. Hamilton is extremely knowledgeable and has always taken the time to explain every situation, his recommendations and reasoning for them. Recently, Dr. Hamilton performed cataract surgery on both eyes with Symfony Toric lens replacement and inserted iStents in both eyes to treat the mild glaucoma and eliminate the use of eye drops. I now have 20/16 vision and my eyesight is amazing. I am so pleased with the results from the surgery and confidently recommend Dr. Hamilton as a well-trained, highly skilled eye doctor and surgeon.

Absolutely the best! After consulting three other doctors, I decided to have Dr. Hamilton do the cataract surgery on both of my eyes. It turned out to be one of the best thing I have ever done to myself. I used to be very nearsighted and now I am 20/(30~40) and don't need to wear glasses. Could not be happier with the results of my cataract surgery. Dr. Hamilton and his staff were extremely professional and caring.

Dr. Hamilton is a great doctor and very skilled surgeon. He reconstructed my right eye with a CustomFlex Artificial Iris and a new inter ocular lens. The result has been life changing. For the first time in 35 years, I am pain free from photosensitiviy in that eye, my vision has been restored and cosmetically I have a perfectly normal looking iris that matches my other eye. The outcome has been much better than I imaged or dared hope for. The care I received from Dr. Hamilton and staff was just amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Hamilton to anyone in need of eye surgery.

I did not have a good experience. The office staff were very nice. My very thorough eye check was done by the nicest person. But my very short visit with Dr. Hamilton was rushed and confusing. I went to the office for one reason, but another medical issue was found, which seemed to really annoy him. Things were not well-explained, he was rude, and no effort was made to further help me or set me up with another appointment other than “Come back in a year.”

My wife and I were both very impressed with Dr. Hamilton, both his knowledge, but also his people skills or "bedside manner' . Professional, yet friendly, never seemed rushed or in a hurry. Explained all options to us and how they would affect our end result. I would recommend him highly to anyone considering eye surgery.
