Excellent doctor. Clear communication, good bedside manner, explained everything in sufficient detail.

Dr. Southworth is amazing. I went to him for a second opinion and what I thought was a shoulder issue ended up being a cervical issue. I'm so happy I went to him or I would have had unnecessary surgery on my shoulder. His staff and the X-ray techs were all kind and courteous. I will definitely use him if I have any other issues he specializes in.

I was referred to Dr. Southworth for a painful wrist. I was scheduled quickly for an appointment date, the staff was cordial, the c-rays were accurate , the treatment was very good and Dr. Southworth was professional as well as hospitable.

Did not make much sense and he based his diagnosis on one recent xray instead of the MRI and other records I have. He also expected me to do physical therapy but couldn't offer me anything for my pain that physical therapy will make worse and my main doctor shouldn't have to do that. He should have. Total waste of time, gonna find a new orthopedic that doesn't rush people or make them feel like we are retarded and rush the visit. What a joke of a doctor

My first experience with him was related to my mom who had seen another orthopedic surgeon that told her she needed a hip replacement from nothing more than an x-ray and ultimately just gave Her an injection into the joint. When her pain got worse a few days later and could not get in to see the first Dr we went to see Dr Southworth and he ordered an MRI. We learned from that MRI that my mother did not need a hip replacement but rather that she had bone cancer. He took his time and listened and did what was right target than jump into surgery. I broke my arm a few days ago and went to see him myself and he remembered my mom and was thoughtful enough to ask about her while also taking care of my problem. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Gives lots of choices. Does not immediately push for surgery.
