Dr. Stephen Yoelson, MD

We've seen Dr. Yoelson over the long term, and he is an excellent physician.

In my opinion, Dr. Yoelson does not listen to my concerns or address my issues. After I obtained copies of my medical records I realized some of the information he recorded was false! Do yourself a favor and don't trust Dr. Yoelson. I was his patient for approx 19 years and should have gone with my gut feeling a long time ago and found a better Doctor.

The office staff should update all information when check-in: address, medical ins, pharmacy used. There would never be any misunderstood information. The doctor never even read the Hospital paperwork during visit.

I don't understand the negative review. Every doctor is still getting used to the computers they have to use now thanks to the new healthcare laws. Dr. Yoelson actually does not spend that much time on the computer. He takes my asthma seriously and he has encouraged me to do the same, which has helped my overall health. I've had asthma for much of my life, but never got good care for it before seeing Dr. Yoelson. Dr. Yoelson is friendly but professional and I know if he orders a test, it is necessary. If he recommends a treatment, it works. He takes a thoughtful approach and does not rush to prescribe a new drug (with who knows what side effects) and order an expensive test if waiting a week and taking some Tylenol is a better option. To me, that is a very sensible, effective way of doing things. If you are looking for a doctor who won't waste your time and money by ordering unnecessary tests and procedures, who isn't afraid to make judgment calls rather than farming you out to specialists needlessly, and who takes good care of the conditions you have, Dr. Yoelson is a great choice.

He spends all his time typing into a portable computer rather than talking to the patient. He misdiagnosed a problem and even prescribed incorrect meds. Had gone to him for several year; other people told us to go elsewhere, but went to him because the office was comvenient.

I recommend Dr Yoelson highly. He really cares about every patients. I have 4 chronic conditions all diagnosed by the doc. I have been a patient for 18 years. Excellent doctor and staff.
