We have always been very pleased with the wonderful care Dr. Mathus has given us. He delivered eleven of our children, and his patience and quiet presence, along with his tremendous skill and knowledge, always made the deliveries even more special. I cannot imagine anyone not giving him five stars!

Dr. Mathus has been my Dr. for over 30 years and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else...always professional, kind and very caring. Have always had excellent care in pregnancies, breast issues, and multiple other events over the years.... the best!!!

Love Dr Mathus! Had two beautiful deliveries by him. All of my questions and concerns are always addressed. Never feel rushed. Spectacular bedside manner. He is kind, caring and compassionate. So thankful for his work. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Mathis made the prenatal visits, the c section, and my son's circumcision as comfortable as possible. You can tell he really cares about his patients.

Although appointment time ran behind, once I was in the room, I had the undivided attention of Dr. Mathus. He is very kind, calm, and reassuring. He is thorough and knowledgable. His staff was patient with my questions. I would recommend Dr. Mathus to my friends.

Dr. Mathus has been my doctor for 24 years. I don't have one bad thing to say about him and lots of good things to say. He is very pleasant, friendly, and easy going. He is thorough and allows plently of time for questions. At my annual appointment last year I asked him about a "lump" I kept feeling in my left abdomen. My primary care doctor that I had seen a couple weeks earlier didn't even touch the spot when I told him about it, saying it was possibly a couple different things of no consequence. When I saw Dr. Mathus and mentioned it, he came right over and felt the spot, and ordered a test to see what was going on. It turned out to be a fist sized tumor on the side of my stomach that needed to be removed. I'm so thankful that Dr. Mathus didn't just dismiss it like my (now former) primary care doctor did. I highly recommend Dr. Mathus not only because he is a caring and informed doctor with much experience, but most importantly for me, he actually listens and acts on his patients concerns.

Dr. Mathus is a great doctor! He is so through. He takes the time to make sure he is giving his patient the best care possible. He recently performed an outpatient surgical procedure on me and I couldn't be more pleased on how everything went.

DR Mathus was my Dr during my pregnancy and the birth of my daughter. All of my questions and needs were addressed to satisfaction during pregnancy. Any issues I had he made sure I was fully informed of all options available to me. The last week of pregnancy we found that I'm a week I went from measuring with the week to measuring 43 weeks!! He had an ultrasound done that day. We found out that she was over 9 pounds already!! He sat down with me right after the ultrasound and gave me undivided attention of all options I had. He did not steer me one way or another. He made sure I was fully informed so that my husband and I could make a decision we were comfortable with. We opted for a c section which was scheduled for the next day!! Dr Mathus and his team was very reassuring during the c section to me and my husband. Our daughter was born with no complications weighing in at 9 pounds 13 ounces!! We will go to.him again when we are expecting our next child. :)

During a routine gynecological exam, Dr. Mathus examined my thyroid and discovered a thyroid nodule. He referred me for follow-up, and thyroid cancer was discovered. The doctors in St. Louis were amazed that Dr. Mathus felt such a very small nodule. I'm grateful to Dr. Mathus that it was discovered early enough to be entirely removed by surgery. It had not spread. I also appreciate Dr. Mathus' professionalism and willingness to take time to explain things to me during my visits.

Dr. Mathus delivered my second child. He was wonderful during the delivery and with postpartum care. He has great bedside manner and takes plenty of time to answer questions & concerns. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Mathus was great the day I went to labor he was there all day with other patients but came and checked on me frequently and made sure I was staying comfortable and the baby was progressing. When the baby stopped progressing he made a quick decision that I had to have a c-section he explained everything very well so my Husband and I were at ease , he took great care to make sure that we were both comfortable entering into this decision. And soon after that our new little girl was out. His bedside manor was great and he was straight to business to make sure we had all the knowledge about this experience. Great Doctor!!! In fact everyone in his practice is great!!

I have been a patient of Dr Mathus since the birth of my daughter over 19 years ago! He was called in to do a c-section after many hours of labor. All went well. He delivered my son 16 years ago. I've stayed with his office because I like the environment and Dr Mathus'care.

Dr. Mathus is an incredibly knowledgeable and extremely cautious physician. I had 2 C-sections performed by Dr. Mathus- he is a meticulous surgeon. I have been impressed with him as a doctor since I first treated with him in 2008. Dr. Mathus is willing to go above and beyond his duty to help his patients. I would and do recommend Dr. Mathus to anyone seeking an OB. He deserves 5 stars!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mathus for 28 years. He has delivered both of my sons and I could not have asked for a better doctor. His bedside manner far exceeds anything you could ask for. He always has time for any questions during a routine visit and thoroughly explains any procedure you may be having. He handles every situation in a very professional manner.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mathus for several years and my only regret is that he did not deliver my children. At that time I was going to a different ob dr. Dr. Mathus has always been very thorough and takes the time to explain and is always willing to take the time to answer any questions I have. Sometimes I have to wait but that is only because he is giving someone else the same kind of care that I will receive.

I like how Dr. Mathus took time to make sure that during my cesarean section, I was aware of what was happening. He was very thorough. My cut was minimum to the predicted size of my baby which showed how Dr.Mathus considered my feelings and emotions with the after scar.

I am very pleased with all aspects of my visits with Dr. Mathus. He is very good at his job and is very nice. He is always professional and has taken very good care of me. He has delivered all 3 of my children and I wouldn't ask for anyone else. I would recommend him to anyone needing a good doctor.

Dr. Mathus has been my GYN for over 10 years. He has always taken time to thoroughly explain information--whether it is explaining needed medical procedures, prescribed medications, or anticipated recovery time from specific gyn procedures, i.e. laproscopic hysterectomy. No matter what the topic, he makes certain my questions and concerns are thoroughly addressed. He has a very caring persona. I have always been satisfied with the care he has provided. I highly recommend Dr. Mathus.

Dr. Mathus has delivered my two children, a tubal ligation, and a recent laproscopic hysterectomy. Each experience has been perfect. He takes his time to make sure I as well as my husband knew what was happening and why. He always has the time to answer any questions and he has a great bedside manner. He is just a wonderful doctor.

I went into the Doctor very nervous as it had been years since I had been to a GYN. His staff was very friendly and then after meeting the doctor, he put me immediately at ease. He diagnosed my issue, gave me 3 alternatives and we decided on an endometrial ablasion. This was a new procedure to me, he explained everything at length and we did all the pre-op stuff. the day of the procedure, he again patiently explained everything that would happen as well as what to expect afterward. He also explained this all to my husband and put his mind at ease. The procedure went like clockwork as did the recovery. I could not have had a more positive experience and cannot thank Dr. Matthus enough.
