Dr. Neufeld is the best. He replaced my ankle a few years ago and its the best thing I ever did. He explained everything to me beforehand which gave me confidence to have the procedure. I would definitely recommend seeing him for any foot problem you have.

Broke my ankle. He explained my situation and treatment well. Gave me confidence in walking on the foot again. Also the medical assistant at the office was terrific. I forgot his name but he was super helpful. Helped fit me for a brace.

I am a Family Medicine doctor and had severe congenital bunions, hallux valgus (resulting in severe foot deformation) which over decades became increasingly painful. For years I met orthopedic surgeons, asked their opinions of the best foot surgeons in the U.S., gathered reports from my patients and others that had foot or ankle surgery. I chose Dr Neufeld and he is very probably the best foot and ankle surgeon in the country. My surgery is a difficult one and it turned out perfectly. After three years I have had no problems. My foot looks great and feels great; I can ski again, play tennis, soccer and basketball. Often people do not have the best outcomes after surgery, not because of any lack of talent by their surgeon, but because they do not carefully follow the exact guidance for follow-up, healing and therapy post-surgery. Dr Neufeld is certainly one of the very best foot surgeons in the world. I would not have any other surgeon operate on my feet or ankles. - RDH

Unfortunately very disappointed. I was told to start running through the pain on my injured ankle which caused other issues. Received little time and attention.

Botched my foot

Dr Neufeld, I wanted to thank you, and your wonderful, and knowledgeable staff, for the care I received before and after my foot surgery. Dr. Neufeld, you are a very skilled, and compassionate surgeon. This is my 4th right foot surgery, and I wasn't necessarily looking forward to it. But now I wished I had found you earlier. It would have saved me a lot of discomfort. Kudos to Constance for here excellent wound care. I highly recommend Dr. Neufeld at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center

I elected to have surgery for a bunion and turf toe that developed after a fall. After my consultation with Dr. Neufeld I felt confident from his advice that the surgery would be fairly straightforward and alleviate my pain. How wrong I was. The recovery was grueling and painful and I felt "dropped" by Neufeld after the procedure - later appointments were with his rather callous PA. At 6 months out I was still resorting to the surgical shoe often due to pain. Now, 2.5 years later I am extremely unhappy with the results. I cannot wear most shoes without pain (even running shoes) - any kind of heel is out of the question. My foot still looks crooked and I now have horrible pain in other areas of the foot and even up into my ankle. I am so sad about this because I am only 38 years old, have 2 young kids and used to be very active. My foot is certainly worse than before the surgery and I wish I had never had it done. I thought he was a respected orthopedic specialist, but he sure screwed up on me.

I was to the point where I could barely walk. No balance and very unstable. After surgery I feel like a new person the pain is gone and after 3 months I am boot free and using a cane on long days on my feet. Best decision I ever made. Dr. Neufeld was great explained everything and is very caring.

I went to many websites and checked out the reviews on Dr. Neufeld. I decided they were too negative and wasn't going to go to him. After talking to some friends, I decided to go see him even though the reviews were negative. I'm so glad I did. He was a great doctor who instantly knew what was wrong with my foot. I had been seeing another doctor who took 4 years to figure it out. So please, please don't listen to reviews. They are most often written by people who are dissatisfied. If he was such a bad doctor it wouldn't take WEEKS to get an appointment with him. Trust me, I could get in with my last doctor within a day or two. As far as waiting, yes I had a wait. I also had a wait when I went to get an oil change and I'd say my foot is more important. So while I think you should do research, take the reviews with a grain. Remember when people are unhappy they want to complain.

i think Dr Neufeld is outstanding in his field and also a great person. My experience with a broken foot was exceptional also the personal care i received.

I'm very happy with my foot surgery and I had extensive repairs and some osteoarthritis before the operation. I have been most pleased with PT here and Dr. neufeld has been great with a good sense of humor and good bedside manner. The staff is very professional and helpful.

I recently had surgery to remove a bunion from my left foot. I was thrilled with the care that I received from Doctor Neufeld and the staff at the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Center. I found Dr. Neufeld and his staff to be very knowledgable, pleasant and caring. I just had my 10-day post op follow up and very happy with my results to date. By the way, when I was researching various Doctors, Dr. Neufeld was highly recommended!

Recommend going elsewhere if you want an accurate diagnose and don't want to wait over 60 minutes to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes.

I had to have my ankle replaced due to severe arthritis resulting from earlier athletic injuries. He did a fabulous job and I can walk without pain for the first time in years. I highly reocmmend him.

Because of Dr Neufeld's personality I decided against having him perform my surgery. I notice some patients love him and some have had very bad experiences. I find that odd.

I went in for a routine bunionectomy and somehow, someway, this Dr. made my foot worse than it ever was. The way he sewed up my foot was so crude, a monkey could have probably done better. He put a plate in my foot (why? no other orthopod or podiatrist does) that ended up cutting off the blood supply so when I had my corrective surgery (by a qualified Orthopod) they couldn't correct completey the mess Neufeld made. He's the worst, I would suggest everyone with a foot or ankle problem stay away from him.
