I was diagnosed with a very serious pregnancy complications called Placenta Accreta and Dr Ravins was an absolutely outstanding and essential person in my treatment team. Due to previous pregnancy losses I was being seen my Maternal Fetal Medicine as well, where Dr Ravins collaborated beautifully with their team to make sure I had the best care possible. I had to deliver my son 4 weeks early due to having this high risk complication that involved higher risk of hemorrhaging, hysterectomy and even death. Dr Ravins walked me through everything, all of the possible treatment/surgical options and put so much thought and effort into my surgical plan. He answered all of my questions and was so patient with me (I was an anxious hot mess). I am absolutely grateful and honored to have had him as my doctor. Not only did he save my life (this diagnosis had me fearing for death since the moment I heard I had this), he saved my uterus (hysterectomy was very likely with this condition) safely delivered my son, I didn’t hemorrhage and my c section incision looks pristine. I strongly believe I wouldn’t have had this outcome if Dr. Ravins wasn’t my doctor. He is a perfectionist and makes it his business to provide top of the line care to his patients. I know some reviews complain about the wait times for this practice but I promise you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. Keep in mind every doctor at this practice is an OB and emergencies do come up at the hospital delivering babies which can make them late to appointments at the practice. But that just comes with the territory when you’re working with doctors who actually care about their patients and put the care of the patient and their baby above all else. Dr. Ravins deserves an award for the kind of care and dedication he provides to his patients. Keep up the great work!!!

I am a patient of garden obgyn and only met Dr.Steven Ravins the day of my scheduled c section. From the moment I met him I had a great vibe, he makes you feel so comfortable. This was my third c section and by far the best experience. He takes his time and the nurses said they know when they are along side with him on a s section they know they will be there for a while bc he is very meticulous with his work. My scar is perfect and my recovery was the easiest (which they usually said the more surgeries you get the worse the recovery bc if scar tissue) he applied my binder right after he finished up on the table nice and tight which helped me to get up so much easier. I would definitely recommend him!!

Dr Ravins is the most honest, caring, funny while still being professional Ob Gyn Doctor I have ever had. I had gestational diabetes through out my pregnancy which caused complications Dr. Ravins intelligently guided me through until I gave birth. During my labor, my baby's head was too big for me to deliver naturally so we were forced to change from natural birth to c-section. Dr. Ravins was there with me from practically the beginning, and also guided me through my labor, and ended up advising me we were losing my baby because his heartbeat was dropping from sitting in my birth canal too long, and we needed to perform a c section immediately to save my baby. Dr Ravins performed my c section and delivered my baby successfully. He is amazing. I recommend him to everyone.

I am blessed that I found Dr. Steven Ravins. He is more than excellent! He made sure I am in good health and well monitored with my weight, I was still slight overweight on my second and third pregnancies, and I totally understand why he was strict on weight because it does have a downside afterward your pregnancy... health wise. So for people who are reviewing about their experience of taking it too personal when the doctor try to tell you to control your weight gain, it is actually for your own good definitely. Dr. Steven, despite of his very demanding schedules, he made sure that he delivered my children whether its holiday or not, unlike other doctors I know. He is very professional and truly cares about his patients... I would give him hundred stars rating if theres such thing... Highly recommend him!

I must be honest Dr. Ravins is the best doctor/surgeon in history he has the best hands in performing gentle c section he made my experience unforgettable. After 3 weeks my insision has healed perfectly no pain and I laughed thru out the whole thing including a tube tied procedure. He promised me 9 months ago I will be pregnant after a hurtful miscarriage and he made that happen. Him and his team are caring and welcomed us in each visit as family making sure everything was perfect. Thank you doc you rock!! Erica Rosa

Great Doctors! Dr. Ravins was my main Doctor at this office, he safely delivered my baby and took excellent care of me. Cannot be more grateful to him and all the people who work at Raveco (especially Mark, Danica and Juan Carlos)

He is a great doctor. He Checked me 1 or 2 times before my delivery. I then had the luck to have him deliver my baby he was great!

Not the best bedside manner but if you can get past that, he's pretty good. A tell it like it is kind of guy (regardless of how it makes you feel)

Dr Steven Ravins delivered my first baby, so when I have my second one I chose him to be my doctor from the beginning of my pregnancy til I have the baby... He is the most professional and honest doctor I have ever met. Not to mention the humor he puts in his practice which makes my whole pregnancy more fun and calm. And the hospital he is working with which is South Nassau Communities Hospital is like a five star hotel...my entire experience on my delivery was awesome!!! I'm so lucky that I found Dr. Steven Ravins, he is beyond comparable. The only thing I can tell the prenatal visits to the doctors office is a long wait... But that's because there are tons of patients want him because he is the best. And dr Steven Ravins take time to talk to his patients and make sure all is taken care of before he dismisses you. I strongly recommend dr Ravins. I. Actually miss him and the entire staff!!

he insulted my weight when i gained too much weight while pregnant. wait time is insane and gives out way too much medication. anytime i went for a second opinion i was told NOT to take the medication he prescribed....

Dr. Ravins is a great doctor. He's always a pleasure to deal with and makes going to the MD a breeze. He's been taking care of me throughout my pregnancy and i'm so happy he will be delivering my baby. He kept me on the right track of being healthy and making smart food choices. I appreciate when doctor's don't sugar coat things and tell me exactly what needs to be done for the well being of me and baby. I'm a very happy patient.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Smart, funny and caring doctor. He deliverd my first child and I would definetly have him deliver any other children I may have. He is strict on weight gain, but for good reason. I love Dr. Steven Ravins!!! :-)

I hate seeing this doctor at this practice. I prefer to see one of the other doctors. Even though he is one of the owners he is an awful doctor. I wait on avg at least an hour to 1.5 hours to be seen. He is constantly diagnosing my weight when he knows nothing about my medical history nor has he asked about my history. I don't like him and pray he doesn't deliver my baby!

The office is nice and clean.. Tomorrow is my last day of my visit and I will never going back again ! Dr. Steven never ask or talk about my pregnancy and still never tell me my due date.. I'm very dissapointed at him..well atleast he knows how to sonogram..

I'm shocked to see such awful reviews for such a wonderful office. I've been fortunate to spend time with at least four of the doctors here and I've yet to have a bad experience. Dr. S. Ravins is a very caring person. He's also very strict. If you are overweight and pregnant, he will let you know the dangers of this. I can see how some women may not like this. Many women think that just because they are pregnant they can eat everything in sight. Not true! You are putting your health at risk and even more so, the baby's. Think about how your health is affected when you are overweight but not pregnant. That in mind, he will give you guidelines on what your weight gain should be while pregnant and he will show disappointment when you show up with an extra ten pounds at each appointment. However, he is NOT abusive. I really wish the person who wrote these reviews would say what was so disturbing about him. I had two very healthy babies and both deliveries were magnificent. Yes, I said magnificent! Remember, when you do your research and ask all the questions you have, you will feel so much better at the time of delivery. My second time around was better because I was better prepared. The doctors here will answer your questions and will take the time to make you feel at ease. I was SUPER nervous during my first pregnancy and they always made sure to remind me that all would be ok. My only complaint about here is that the receptionists can be a bit annoying. However, I honestly have not been to a medical office with all nice receptionists. Also, the wait time can be especially long. I don't, however, complain about that because I know when it is my turn to be seen the doctors will take their time to listen to me. They have a lot of patients at this office and long wait times are a good sign.

I went to Dr. Ravins, when I found out I was pregnant. He spent a majority of the appointment talking about his new invention and telling me to limit my diet. He did not seem to take into consideration a discussion with me about my relationship to food and exercise or any of my concerns about pregnancy. I was never notified about the results of the blood work and had difficulty obtaining copies of my lab work after I tried to switch doctors. It was a scary beginning to this process. I would not recommend him.

Dr Ravins is a mentally disturbed man who should have his liscense revoked. he treats patients, their families and hospital staff horribly. the man has anger management issures. Obvioulsy hates women, which is why he is in this field, so he can abuse them under the guise of his "profession." NOT a professional at all. A very disturbed and sick man. I wonder if he abuses his wife, or maybe she abuses him so he has to take it out on others. NO ONE should ever receive care from this man. Hopefully one day he will mouth off to the wrong person and get what he deserves.
