I was referred to Dr. Fulp for my neck, well at first it seem everything was going to be great. I explained to him what I was going through and in return he told me what he thought it was and sent me for an MRI which took them over month to schedule. It was indeed what he thought but 3 of them. Now here is where it gets stressful and annoying. I am going on almost 5 months in pain. With nothing more than pain pills. I have been waiting for an appointment for the injection shots and physical therapy for almost month and that's not including the month I went in for a check-up and nothing was done once again. Every time you go it's a two hour or more wait just to go back there for 5 minutes if that. The nurses are not any better and very forgetful. They clearly don't care about their patients. I have never been to such an unorganized doctors office in my life.

I waited 45 years to have a knee replacement and this idiot fixed it where I can barely walk. Why is he still practicing in the state of Texas. He conned me into believing my knee would be okay with more therapy... He's a incompetent Dr. and shouldn't be in practice. I'm lucky I still have a leg, damaged but not missing or dead from infection!

I did not choose Dr. Fulp, McAllen Hospital employed him to do a surgical repair of my wrist. Before the surgery, he apparently failed to communicate with the hospital as to his whereabouts and when the surgery would be performed, keeping me without food or even water for 20 hours. After the surgery, the hospital staff scheduled a post op visit with the doctor's office in McAllen. The doctor's office contacted me before the appointment to reschedule to a time of THEIR choice (10:45 a.m.) and later, confirmed that time again. When I arrived at 10:45, the receptionist told me that no one was there to help me. She suggested that I complete the paperwork and return at 1:30. I called at 1:00 to see if 1:30 was still a good time, and was told to come in at 2:15. At 2:00, when I called in, I was told, "we are ready for you. Come in right now." When I arrived at 2:15, the waiting room was full of people who had been there for several hours. After waiting for about an hour, I was told by the receptionist that "he" wasn't there. Sometime around 4:00, I was called for my 10:45 appointment. Although there were many people behind me, I was tended to last, apparently because I had the temerity to ask when all of the patients would be treated. This kind of rudeness comes from the top. Dr./ Fulp has office hours posted which apparently mean nothing. In my case, I had to wait over 5 hours for a simple-but-necessary post op visit. The office staff could have asked me to come at a more convenient time, and did so 3 times. To lie and say that they were ready to see me, when they weren't wasted my time and theirs. This lack of consideration for the time and rights of his patients, many of whom have no option but to put up with such treatment is offensive and unprofessional. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because, the care, once it was grudgingly given, so far has been very good.

Dr. Fulp spent a lot of time with me going over my options. He made me feel comfortable and understood. I highly recommend him.

He operated on my wife and did not fix her knee since he operated she has been in the hospital 6 times in less then a year.it took us 8 months to find a second doc to look at her knee and the screws that pulp put in her knee was done wrong and he left a bunch of I'm finished work in the knee.

Dr Fulp worked on my wife's knee and it is still messed up.We had a new mri done 3 months after he worked on her knee and it still shows a tear. My goal in life is to let everyone know about him and get him out of the doctor field he has a history of not fixing the proplem

Worst customer service!!! Receptionist refused to check insurance on the phone. Refused service even when I had the people from the insurance on the line she still refused to speak to him. Said she was too busy!!!! Will never go their again!!!!!! Both receptionist were the worst.

I would not recommend this Dr to no one. His office does not even call you back, nor when you ask for a manager to complain.

PA Watson and his staff in Brownsville are amazing, actually thought Mike was Fulp. Had six appointments before scheduling surgery. Had to call McAllen office to schedule surgery, they didn't even return my calls for over a week, finally after being on hold for an HOUR, had to deal with an extremely rude person. Went through that and the apathetic schedulers for three days. Finally scheduled surgery, while being prepped a doctor approaches me, had extremely uncomfortable bedside manner and I asked for Fulp. He said he was Fulp. Marked me up and next I know in recovery he's obviously frustrated, I'm in agony, and he asks if I abuse pain killers. Last time I needed pain killers was 11 years prior after neurosurgery. He said I ruined my system. Then I never saw him again. I was told I'd be good as new in two weeks. Went to McAllen for follow up with Fulp. Waited an hour and a half after scheduled appointment, crazy rude front desk. In the exam room a PA walks in asking why I was there. I had to explain the procedure I just had. No Fulp. I was abnormally swollen, wrapped back up and was told I'd be fine, to go to Brownsville to have stitches out in a week. Went in to the wonderful staff I was used to but still in extreme pain and swollen. Infection. T3's and keflex. Began physical therapy, four weeks later another infection and an ambulance was called due to what seemed to be a blood clot. Turned out yep, huge blood clot. Spent a week in hospital. No sign of Fulp. Four weeks later, on blood thinners, bed rest, in pain and still can't walk. No Fulp appt possible. Hoping to see Watson in Brownsville soon. I'm worse than I was before surgery. With the bonus of bills, already paid $2k cash, hospital bill alone was for over sixty thousand dollars. Another outrageous co pay. This has been devastating. Fulp rushes through, does a hack job and hides. Inexcusable.

I do not recommend him. I have seen many people who have had surgery with him and they have all complained. Plus he only see's you for less than a minute and his quota for the total number of people seen in more than 40 in less than 3 hours.

The receptionist once told me, "your appt was yesterday and we all want to leave already". The seat where the patients wait in the room was dirty and sticky plus there was a HUGE fly buzzing around. Dr Fulp might be a well known surgeon, but he acted like an @$$hole. Bad treat,dirty and apathetic place

Dr. prescribes meds, staff refuses to pre authorize clearance for meds, help severe chronic pain.

the brownsville office is bad,, I never saw dr. fulp until the day at the hospital, his P.A. did all the appointments and that was wrong,, I had rotor cuff repair by Dr. Fulp and now I have to repete the process in minnesota,, the veterans clinic sent me to him,,, bad news. appointment were not kept, girls were rude,, never again see another DOCTOR.

Where the Dr. himself was excellent the staff in this office are not helpful or courteous at all! The ladies you will have to deal with up front are very rude. And if you call forget it, they act as if you are wasting thier precious time,they must think just because they work there they are special.

My husband had a broken hand and was referred to Dr. Fulp's after hours clinic. Due to the nature of the referral, we had to always go to the night hours (they would not let us switch to daytime or switch doctors). We had an appointment scheduled for a Wednesday. The day of the appointment I received a call saying they no longer do after hours appointments and we need to reschedule. I told them that is fine for future appointments but they need to honor appointments that are already scheduled. Needless to say, that was an unsuccessful argument and we rescheduled. Again, just today, we had an appointment for after hours on a Monday with an appointment card to prove it. My husband went and they were CLOSED!! No phone call. No rescheduling. Just closed. All this including that the first time we went the doctor was 2 hours late getting to the office and then we had to wait our turn from there when we were on time. Do not use this doctor.

This is a dr busy but ALWAYS has time to explain and is so friendly! He speaks excellent Spanish so my family feels very safe and comfortable! I know he does not always get paid because I could not afford my ER visit or surgery Dr Fulp told me I could help on his ranch when I was up to it!!! He has NEVER sent me a bill!

Dr Fulp did not lose his license. he has his own successful practice in South Texas. His disheveled appearance is most likely due to the long hours he works on trauma call at McAllen General. He works too hard and I think his lack of rest is what causes oversights and curt behavior. I know Dr. Fulp personally and he is socially awkward and has had to work hard at improving his bedside manner. As for skill in the OR, he has it and is one of the best surgeons in the valley. He's also one of the only doctors I know who will do surgeries even when a family can't pay. He is a caring doctor, albiet overworked and irresponsible in taking care of his own well being. However, I would still recommend him.

I crushed my foot in a fall,no other Dr. wanted to repair me.Dr.Fulp did not let me get discouraged,after 3 surgerys i am now walking. Thank-you Dr.Fulp. I would recommend him to anyone.
