Dr. Tapan Kishor Daftari, MD

Dr. Daftari is amazing. Went to see him with a big problem in my L5/S1 and after a surgery which failed with another top ranked spine doctor, Dr Daftari told me what needed to be done instead and he did surgery on my back. It was a life changing event for me. He was absolutely great!!!!

Very happy with my surgeon. Dr Daftari performed major surgery on my lower back. I haven’t experience any complications. He explained everything through the process, and he as well as his staff were prompt through recovery.

I saw Dr Daftari yesterday, he always pays attention to what I am saying and offered a solution to having surgery at this time. It will need to happen at some point but I am not ready for a big major surgery again and he understood this. The only negative that I will comment on is that we waited for an hour and a half in our exam room. But it doesn’t happen often and I would never consider changing to another doctor.

Dr. Daftari is the best surgeon! I have major back issues and he has performed my 3 surgeries to perfection. He also has the best bedside manner and a great staff. He has also won awards. I’d definitely refer him over and over again

I had back surgery in January 2023. Dr. Deftari was my surgeon. My praise to him for a job well done is beyond any measurement i can compare. Everything has unfolded in the manner in which he described and I feel healthy and active. I thank him every day for my restored health. I am so grateful I found him when I did.

I was so excited after reading the reviews to see Dr.Daftari but I was in for a shock.When I got back to see him I was bombarded with questions only to be interrupted every time I tried to answer and was told I wasn't a candidate for surgery,which was not a reason I went,I wanted to see what kind of treatment I could be offered but was made to feel like I had wasted his time.Very disappointed and will never go back for any reason.

Dr. Daftari is an excellent orthopedic doctor. On my first visit, I could barely walk or function due to pain. He was thorough, professional, and caring. His staff was impeccable. With the correct physical therapy, medication, bone supplements and Dr. Daftari’s care and medical expertise, I can walk without back pain and I am continuing to improve. I’ve recommended him to my family, friends, and colleagues. I’m so thankful that Dr. Daftari and his staff are caring for me on my journey to wellness.

Thank you Dr. Daftari for my life changing surgery. I had surgery in may on my neck may 2023 it’s been 6 months now and I’m feeling great. I had 4disc removed and the vertebrae fused with bone grafts. They put in a plate with 10 screws. I didn’t even have to take pain pills afterwards. I was driving 10 days after surgery. Before I could hardly stand and had a migraine for 3 years prior. Ihighly recommend Dr. Daftari and his staff.

M’y first impression of Dr. Daftari is not so great. I have gone through discomfort to pain since my late teens. I happen to have a high tolerance for pain, and in my early life had no money for doctors. Dr. Daftari did not seem to believe I have suffered for such a long time. When I answered his questions regarding the time I have experienced this pain and discomfort, Dr Daftari kept insisting on week/month time frames… When I reiterated an almost lifelong issue, he corrected me to « a couple of months, then.. » , which I am sure the MA recorded on my chart. I came out of the consultation feeling bullied and rushed. I was hopeful and eager to be heard as the pain is now crossing my pain threshold. I left feeling slighted and ridiculed… I have another appointment with Dr Daftari in 3 weeks… I will keep the appointment as it is possible that a bad first impression is only an unfortunate one.

He did my lower back a few years back and did a great job. I am seeing him again for my neck and he has truthfully answered my questions He has a great doctor patient conection

I get the impression this doctor is not really interested in a patient's best interests. He would not give a detail explanation of the procedure I needed and did not really care about my concerns.

The best and the coolest Dr on the face of the earth he really cares about my health and well being you will not get a better Dr than him period.

Dr. Tapan Daftari is very talented, knowledgeable, and takes the time to listen to his patients. He has great bedside manner. His Resurgens Orthopedics Vinings office is very nice and the staff are awesome. The waiting room time is minimal. I recommend Dr. Daftari and Resurgens Orthopedics Vinings office.

Dr. Tapan is a really good hip and back surgeon , I trust him to perform such a delicate procedure when it comes to the spine which is basically your whole structure, the laminectomy I had last year went well to fix my hip pain , some of the pain is starting to resurface so I know I got to get some form of physical therapy or water aerobics going to lose some weight ,to prevent me from having to have another surgery, but if I have to , I would definitely let Dr. Daftari perform it again. Had a consultation yesterday and was very impressed. Dr. Daftari explained my disc herniation thoroughly and showed me my issue on my MRI. He did not want to jump into surgery right away but gave me options to seek out for relief in the meantime. When I do decide on the surgery , I will use him. The office staff was also excellent.

Over the years have had many car accidents over the years which affected my back/spine with increasing pain till this year needed help. Im previous patient of Resurgens Orthopedic and Dr Edward Holliger who performed a very successful hand operation. So connected with Resurgence again to resolve spine issues in the L5S1 which is a tough area and very lucky i found Dr Tapan Daftari who is my Rock Star doctor and a great person. He is a talented focused person with 27+ years experienced spine surgeon with weekly operations. My Rock Star accolade is that he worked with industry to make surgery related tools was able to make tools as well the metal plates in my spine and im on the road to a normal life. Do know that he also created similar metal plates for Cervical patients. Back surgery and recovery is painful but know its worth it to live pain free. If i had to do it over again would pick Dr Daftari again but would have done it sooner and not lived with pain. Also Dr Daftari has a great staff including; Dr Ken Holbrook a great person and assisting Doctor to understand the healing process. Any question or issues was resolved quickly often by the same day with my main contact to address them. All other Dr team members are very focussed on providing quality care and helping me. Hopefully this will help others.

I had neck surgery 5 years ago. I had 2 failed disks and had 3 vertebrates fuzed together with a plate. Everything went well. I lost some motion in my neck but the pain is gone. I did my research and found that he was/is the best of the best surgeons in Georgia. I know I will need future surgery due to my condition. When I do require surgery, I will definitely go back to Deftari.

The first visit he was nice and thorough, I liked him however second one was rushed and he was busy and did not take time to thoroughly sit and talk with me.

As a mother of one of his patients, I do not appreciate him performing two back surgeries but still not fixing my son’s problem. The doctor now refuses to help him any longer .
