Dr. Thomas Jesse Degan, MD

He crippled me. He operated on me 4 times and each one was worse. Knee replacement 3 times , broken knee and installed second one incorrect. He lost his business and didn't care about patientsHe over booked patients and wait times were over an hour. His attitude was it's your privlage he see you. Didn't matter what time your appointment is he is always late. He is the worse doctor I've ever seen. You need to retire.

Bailed out, quit and disappeared. Had surgery planned and office closed.

Continued to direct conversation towards hiking over the injury I was seeing him for. When he did give medical opinions/info it was brief and I had to probe for pros and cons of treatment recommendations. After getting a second opinion, Degan's treatment recommendations are out of date and no longer the golden standard of care.

Three years ago Dr. Degan replaced my knee. Long story short, due to blood clots, an infection caused by HUMAN FECES and other complications this 'doctor' opened my knee 3 times in 5 weeks and left me with a limp, constant pain and a knee that looked as if a shark had taken a bite out of it. I was also informed I would need daily antibiotics for the rest of my life. He never showed me any compassion nor did he apologize. I live in Arizona now and 7 weeks ago my new surgeon replaced the mess Dr. Degan had made of my knee. No more antibiotics, no limp or constant pain and I have just a thin line of a scar. I'm no longer embarrassed to wear shorts.

Dr. Degan will explore and interrogate you properly, and for the same reason, he will make an accurate diagnosis. He will not send you unnecessary tests. On top of this, he's kind and listens attentively to you. I'm so glad I was referred to him! He hit the diagnosis on the spot and I don't have my problem any more.

Dr. Degan is the reason I walk to this day, I honestly believe if he had gone by the normal course of events, I would have not been able to handle all the pain that has happened in my life. there was a time when no tests were showing that nothing was wrong with me, but there was and Dr. Degan trusted me enough to keep looking for the problem when other Doctors would have given up and said it was just in my head. I need trust in any relationship I have and for the last 27 yrs I have had that confidence with Dr. Degan. I am disabled but I have quantity and quality in my life. Thank You Dr Degan

You have done my knee and now my shoulder they both have turned out great you are worth the wait and I do not want bedside manner when I have something to be fixed, Thank you

He was thorough, open, honest, personable, skilled, educated me.

Dr Degan has operated on both my knees (arthroscopy)with very good results. If I have additional problems, he is the one I will go to.
