I went to Dr. Oei for a second opinion as he is a trusted family doctor. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did. He re-assessed my condition and recommended a less invasive procedure to fix my detached retina. He takes the time to answer questions and make you feel comfortable and not rushed during your exam. His staff is all very professional and pleasant as well.

I became Dr. Thomas Oei's patient nearly 20 years ago, shortly after he joined Dr. Sheldon Braverman in San Antonio. I see him now almost exclusively at his office in Kerrville. He has treated my eye problems, including macular degeneration in my left eye. My sight in that eye has slowly improved, I think, because of his diligence in keeping up with the latest technology as it has become available over the years. The equipment in his office is of the highest quality. He is a very caring doctor, kind and polite. His staff is professional and attentive. I have never had to wait over 15 minutes to be called in for the first session of my appointment. I have relatives and friends who have also become his patients. They, too, are very pleased with Dr. Oei.

My Mom suffered from a retinal occlusion condition and Dr. Thomas Oei has been treating her with patience and kindness. Under his care, Mom recovered from the serious inflammation on her left eye. And after a successful cataract surgery by Dr. Oei recently, Mom's vision has improved as well. Dr Oei is highly skilled and I trust him. He is one of the best doctors I know.

Doctor Oei is very knowledgeable and explains things in simple terms. The office is efficient and employees are very helpful. I came in with flashing light that I could see from the corner of my eyes. I was assured everything was fine and my symptoms are common for my age. He made sure it was not a more serious problem that could cause the same symptoms. I highly recommend him & his staff. A human answers the phone when I call the office. I love that kind of service.

He ruined my husbands eye with a lazier. I say eye because he only has one. Was rude to his employees. Had no time to talk to us. Have heard from several others what he did to them. Was not sterile in his office or personal

I noticed floaters and flashes in left eye and my optometrist, who happens to be my brother, says to get in to see someone to look at my retina. I called one doctor- couldn't see me for 3 weeks, called Dr. Oei's office and they gave me an appointment the next morning. I had two retinol tears, Dr. Oei had staff work me in and in less than 3 hours, as a new patient, I'd been examined, diagnosed ant treated with laser for the tears. I found the staff to be professional and businesslike. I didn't require education on the condition - I have my brother and the internet for that, but I do appreciate this doctor and his staff and their recognition of the time limits on this particular condition and the willingness to see & treat me. Follow up in 2 weeks.

My dad is 80 yrs old. Dr. Oei, acording to my dad was rude, and yelled at my father for moving during the procedure. My father stated he moved because the procedure hurt. The staff was nice, and had no problems booking an appointment for follow ups. But the Dr.'s are rude to patients and do not have any bedside manners.
