Dr. Thomas P Newton, MD

Came into the ER at Silverton Hospital with flu and colitis Dr. Newton handled everything so calmly and explained everything so nicely, all the while giving me space to ask questions. Can't imagine how he lost a star in the other reviews. The staff there also was terrific,; I especially want to give a big thank you to tall Stephanie in ER who knows "Dragon Teeth" when she sees them. After I was transferred to ICU, the entire staff worked so hard to keep me comfortable and warm. A special thank you shout to Shirona, that whirling dervish (even with an ice pack on her knee) who went out of her way to explain things and make sure I was comfortable. I am so grateful to have met all the wonderful people there

I had to wait an hour and 1/2 to be even seen by him and a doc in training!!! Once I was seen for an exam it was the worst experience I've ever had in my life!!! I was so embarrassed!! I could hardly look at him after because I felt like it was so intrusive!!! I cancelled my follow up because I would never ever go thru that again!!! He wasn't personable and didn't act like he cared... he left me with doc in training for questions I had already answered in lots of paperwork when I got there!! It was the worst Dr visit I'd ever been too!! When I got out of the office door with my husband patiently waiting for 2 hours I cried my eyes out!!! I felt like I had been just an example for doc in training!!! No care and compassion at all when I was in so much pain!! I wouldn't go back at all or recommend him!
