He was the third pain doctors I’ve seen over the last 5 years in Chicago and by far the best. I’ll never see anyone else.

It wasn’t easy, but through a combination of injections, physical therapy, and medications, I’m finally pain free!

My Dr wasn't at Midwest anymore so i lucked out when I saw Dr Pontinen. He takes time to explain everything in detail. Answered all my questions withou rushing through details. Very nice and caring person. Confident I will get excellent care. Highly recommend !

I lucked out finding Dr Pontinen. Compassionate and not judgemental!

For years I'd dealt with knee pain. My orthopedic doctor told me I wasn't a good survey candidate and that I was out of options. At MAPS Centers for Pain Control, Dr. Pontinen laid out all the options they had for me and started with a series of injections, therapy, and braces that took my pain away completely. He gave me my life back! I'm so lucky to have found them.

Would highly suggest anyone who is suffering from pain to visit Pain Center. I had severe pain in my thumb/hand and could not even hold a pot or use a nail clipper. An MRI revealed severe arthritis. The doctor suggested a shot in the joint where the pain was most prevalent. After a few days, the pain was completely gone. I was suffering for months with it but now am pain free and have been for over a month now. I would highly recommend anyone who is suffering to visit this doctor and the Pain Center.
