Dr. Todd Gilbert Gottschalk

My first visit with Dr. Gottschalk. He lacked personal care. He insulted the integrity of a highly respected doctor I saw in Seattle. He made me feel defensive after that disparaging comment and I was insulted by his comment also. I was disappointed in him as a DO with 26 years experience.

I have gone to used Dr. Gottschalk as a provider for two years now but will be looking for a new one. His professionalism and diagnostic skills have been sub-par in my opinion. I was constantly having to re-schedule with him and never felt comfortable with his bed side manner or diagnosis.

While the doctor seems capable, his MA (female) assistant who does all his paperwork has routinely not entered referrals, some critical to care, and delayed referrals for weeks, either through incompetence or deliberate malice. My experience with this assistant has been that she is arrogant, unresponsive, dismissive and does not respond for days or weeks; if you complain, she acts even worse and seems to retaliate by delaying medical referrals and therefore care. I have received feedback from external medical offices that they have had the same interactions, or lake thereof from her. I complained to patient services, who also found her difficult to respond. Trying to get an external referral is very difficult, but this is embedded in the Rockwood medical /financial philosophy, (keep the money in house and make it difficult for patients to go elsewhere.)

POOR!!

This was our first visit to this clinic and doctor. So we did not know what to expect. First impression was great. The receptionist for Dr. Gottschalk was very cheerful, friendly (important when patients are not feeling well) and yet very professional. His Medical assistant, Windy, also greeted us with a smile, was very personable and we felt comfortable with her. I am a retired nurse and have worked with a lot of M.A.s. Windy, in my professional opinion is an excellent M.A. DR. Gottschalk greeted us with a smile. Very professional, and with a good bedside manner. He asked questions and most important, he "LISTENED", to me when I answered. Both my husband and myself were very satisfied with the examine and conversation. I have some difficult issues I'm dealing with. So,it's a wait and see scenario. He did not hurry through our appointment and spent the proper amount of time with us. Overall we gave Dr. Gottschalk and his staff an A+ and would recommend him to anyone seeking out a knowledgeable and trustworthy Internal Medicine doctor.

I SAW HIM AT HIS NEW CLINIC ON LONE MOUNTAIN RD. AND HE IS GREAT! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANOTHER DOCTOR AGAIN.
