Dr. Vikas Mehta, MD

Dr Mehta was an amazing and refreshing change. He took the time to explain everything, answered my many questions, even after I left and had more questions! He called to check on me and see how I was doing- BEFORE I even had the surgery. He made me very comfortable going into the surgery. After the surgery, he still checked in on me to see how I was feeling. He is absolutely a surgeon that I would highly recommend!!

I was having pain in my neck, upper back, and left arm. I couldn't touch my neck or upper back without experiencing burning pain. Along with the pain in my arm, I was having numbing and tingling. I had a consultation with Dr. Mehta and he explained to me that I had to have surgery. This was a shock to me and I was hesitant at first especially when he advised that the recovery process is 3 months and I will not be able to lift or drive. I am the major care provide for my wheelchair bound special needs child and couldn't imagine not being able to lift him or drive him to school and appointments. Dr. Mehta was very direct in explaining to me my issue and that it is degenerative, so symptoms will only get worse. I decided for the long term care of my son that I should do the surgery. Dr. Mehta was very thorough in explaining the risks involved with the surgery. Due to personal reasons, I really needed the surgery done before July 2023. Even though, Dr. Mehta had a planned vacation with his family, he fit me in the day he was leaving for his vacation. His team was very helpful and considerate of my discomfort after surgery. My post op instructions were explained to me very clearly. I was able to have the surgery on June 7, 2023. I am still in recovery mode but am happy to say that I have not had any numbness or tingling in my arm. No pain in my neck or upper back. I can even massage my back and neck without pain. I am so thankful to Dr. Mehta for being so direct with me and explaining the importance of the surgery. I look forward to being able to care for my son very soon and for a long time to come.

I had cervical spinal surgery to correct a spinal cord signal abnormality with foraminal narrowing and bone spurs. I was cautioned that if I had a other fall or was in an auto accident, I would end up a quadriplegic. Dr. Mehta and his exceptional team performed surgery on me. They were so caring, comforting and supportive. I have been an R.N. for 52 years and they made me proud to be part of the medical profession. I had so little time to psychologically prepare myself for the surgery and recovery. They were amazing in every way making it stress-free and smooth.

Outstanding surgeon and team at Kaiser Fontana. I had sever stenosis in my lumbar L3, L4, L5, my pain was inhumane. Dr. Mehta operated on me in March of 2023 and the pain in my lumbar is gone!!!! Dr. Mehta and his Team were perfect and made me feel so comfortable. The nurses at Kaiser Fontana are outstanding as well!! Thanks to you all for taking my pain away!!

I had an ACDF with Dr. Mehta in April 2023. I had very bad neck and shoulder pain which is now gone. He and his team were very kind and he had a great bedside manner from the start to the end. I am so grateful for him and would definitely recommend him to my family and friends for any neuro needs.

Dr Mehta was wonderful I had spinal surgery and it went well. His team took care of me and assured me I would be fine. My recovery was great I was moving around the same day of surgery. My experience with him and his team was great and I would refer him to anyone

Dr. Vikas is an awesome provider! He did an excellent job with my neck fusion, and I had no issues. The pain was limited (thought would be bad but was super easy)! Dr. Mehta performed a cervical fusion on me in May 2022. It was quite worrying to me, but he did an excellent job. He answered all of my questions and made me very comfortable that he would take very good care of me- and he did. The statement that stuck with me was "I will give you the same level of attention and detail as if I were operating on my own mother". I'm on the mend, and definitely better than I was before the surgery.

Dr. Mehta is amazing. I had a Cervical 5/6 disc replacement. I had numbness and pain in my arms, hands, and legs. I'm approx 45 days out, and that's all gone. He promised nothing and gave me everything. Awesome doctor, personable, and very skilled. Couldn't find better!

I am so grateful to Dr Mehta and the care he gave me before and after my surgery. Dr . Mehta explained everything in detail regarding removal of my Intradural extramedullary thoracic schwannoma. Dr. Mehta was patient with all my questions and concerns, empathetic and kind. I will forever be thankful to Dr. Mehta for the successful thoracic schwannoma removal of my tumor. He is an excellent neurosurgeon and I highly recommend him.
