Dr. Vikram Mahendra Udani, MD

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Udani. He is a beyond amazing surgeon, and the staff is always helpful and kind. The PA, Bryanna, who assists Dr. Udani is also an amazing person. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose him to perform my neck surgery and would highly recommend him to anyone. He kindly explained the procedure and made sure I will have minimal pain and a quick recovery. I was already on my feet 3 days post-op. I would trust him to perform any surgery on me. Very honest, understanding, passionate, and helpful Dr. With an amazing sense of humor. He explains the process thoroughly and comforts you with any questions or worries. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and cares for a patient as a person with outstanding quality medical care. I highly recommend Dr. Udani in a blink of an eye. You won’t regret choosing him for your future surgery or medical care that you need.

Vik Udani is, in my personal opinion, a surgeon of the highest quality. I came to him in 2017 with pain and lack of mobility in my neck, accompanied by numbness and tingling in my hand and certain fingers. His initial diagnosis was confirmed by imaging … THREE compressed vertebrae (C4-5-6). He explained carefully the non-surgical options, but I believed these options would only delay surgery, not obviate the need for it. As a writer and editor, I hoped to regain feeling in my hands. As an equestrian, I wanted to be safe in the saddle and when handling horses from the ground. I needed to be able to turn my head quickly from side to side without restriction. And I needed accurate and ultra-sensitive feel of the reins passing through my fingers. Surgery was the obvious solution. Dr. Udani took a lot of time answering my questions along the way. Surgery went beautifully. Recovery was rapid, aided by brief physical therapy - unbelievably, from a competitive equestrian turned PT. I was discharged from PT after three sessions. Now it is 2023, six year post-surgery. I am grateful every day for Dr. Udani's humanity, his caring and compassionate nature, and his vast technical knowledge as a surgeon. I am also grateful for his skilled and sensitive office staff, because it is my belief that an excellent and loyal staff and surgical team is the foundation on which a great surgeon builds a practice.

My husband had a hemorrhage in the cerebellum from an AVM rupture. Dr. Udani performed an emergency surgery saving his life. We couldn't be grateful enough for what he did. In the follow up appointments all the staff was very kind and professional. My husband is making a full recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr. Udani did surgery for my trigeminal neuralgia after several other treatments did not work. His micro vascular decompression got rid of my pain immediately. I was suffering for so many years and now I finally feel better.

Dr Udani repaired my collapsed L2-L3 disk giving me my life back. His bedside manner and overall attitude toward his patients is exceptional. To me, he is angel and a blessing that works miracles!

Dr. Udani is excellent! I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted in my spine and I am very pleased with the results. The pain reduction as a result of the stimulator allows me to be free of addicting opioid pain medications and has given me the freedom to lead a more normal life. Dr. Udani took the time to review all my options and explained everything very clearly to me. He is very friendly and understanding. Great staff also.

I have been extremely fortunate to have been a patient of Dr. Vikram Udani. The level of care that I received from Dr. Udani was noteworthy and deserves recognition. For many years I was plagued by extreme spinal pain. From my first visit, I knew I was in the right hands with Dr. Udani. Dr. Udani expressed sincere concern about my condition and gave me a very comprehensive review of my MRI (beyond my expectations). Dr. Udani was very willing to work with me on possible surgical interventions which would ultimately help me deal with pain. Dr. Udani was always extremely caring and competent during all phases of my treatment and recovery. Dr. Udani's level of skill is remarkable and I consider Dr. Udani to be an outstanding surgeon and caregiver. In addition, the level of care, concern, and attention by Dr. Udani's staff was outstanding. The office staff, as well as Dr. Udani’s assistants, were compassionate, helpful, and efficient. It is rare to experience a physician and surgeon such as Dr. Udani that holds the care of patients, and their ultimate success for recovery, in such high regard.

Dr. Baker him you Donnie literally changed my life. When I came to him I was unable to walk up straight without a cane and sometimes a walker. After he did my surgery print T5 to 210 a fusion with rides I can now walk straight up bright by myself and I feel hardly any pain whatsoever. Dr. Baker and you Donnie is amazing very intelligent loves what he does and you’re in good hands with this doctor . I am living proof am a patient of his I will see no other doctor or Nuroesurgen other than take room you don’t eat from here on out I trust this doctor. Everybody that sees him falls in love with him because he has wonderful bedside manner’s as well when he’s talking to you about what needs to be done and what he’s gonna do for you he’s clear open compassionate And honest and he’s a good man. I stand behind this doctor because of his qualities and his goodness and his smart intelligent great hands for the work that he does and what’s even more impressive as he works on brains as well. Not that it something awesome I don’t know what it is…? I will always think him and the God above for using his hands to fix me! ????????

Dr. Udani always takes the time to explain all treatment options, what to expect, and really makes sure you understand your options and walk you through from diagnosis, testing, treatments, surgery, and then recovery. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and takes his time with every patient. He and his team are extremely professional and responsive. Both his professional background and experience as well as his personality and bedside manner are equally highly rated and greatly appreciated.

My experience with Dr. Udani was exceptional. I could not have asked for a better, more understanding, compassionate, easy-going Neurosurgeon. He was kind from day one until my last visit, which was today. He is so humble and knowledge's you on your procedure, actual day of procedure, post-procedure and once Physical Therapy is completed and the x-ray has been taken, he explains how the procedure looks and gave me advise on how to continue to live a healthy life to never have to go under the knife again, haha (crossing fingers). I would have to say that I am disappointed on how I was treated by one of his staff members after my surgery. I felt very little to no compassion when I spoke with this individual about Disability that they were handling during the time frame that they are able to handle the Disability claim. I was not asked how I was feeling to any extent, the conversation was very short and cold. I was even told, "sorry you should try and apply for unemployment" because they were not able to continue to handle my Disability claim for reasons I was not explained. I believe that call could have and should have been handled in an entirely different manner as I had already gone through a major surgery and was and am on the road to recovery. I never expected to be treated the way by this individual. Prior to surgery I would call and leave messages for call-back and instantly get a call back. After surgery and after some time lapse due to referral conflicts and physical therapy availability I called and wanted to know status of my Disability because there has to be an "expected time of recovery/return to work" date that has to be inputted. Well that date was approaching and I left numerous messages with NO CALL BACK. I finally was able to speak to this person and that is when the unexpected, short and cold discussion happened. The customer service by this person was disappointing BUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH DR. UDANI WAS WONDERFUL. Although this unfortunate experience happened with this individual I would still recommend Dr. Udani to ANYONE. All that matters is his expertise and how well he is going to take care of you. Thank you Dr. Udani for everything.

We were wonderfully pleased with Dr Udani! We had 2 previous surgeons who changed/cancelled/bailed on us after the surgery was scheduled on several occasions. The last cancellation was 3 days before the surgery. Dr Udani stepped in at the 11th hour and was able to perform my husbands surgey! He did a wonderful job and was able to perform a less invasive surgery than was previously planned and with fantastic results. He was kind and reassuring. He listened to us and answered any questions we had. He was also very respectful of our religious beliefs and was willing to perform bloodless surgery even if there were complications. His bedside manner was great and we were extremely happy with the outcome of the surgery.

I have had multiple surgeries under the supervision of Dr. Udani. I always feel that I am in good hands, better yet, GREAT hands. He always puts me at ease, and makes me feel like I am a priority. I am so very thankful to have Dr. Udani as my neurosurgeon.
