Dr Sammarco is absolutely the best foot surgeon. I started with him in 2005. He completely reworked both of my feet. I wouldn’t go to another surgeon, he is the very best. I know anyone would be completely satisfied with the quality of his work.

I had an Achilles tendon transplant. It was not successful and Dr. sammarco who is sure it was because I didn’t follow his directions, which of course I did it. Once the surgery was over he had no interest in my case because it was not successful. His bedside manner is atrocious. I would not have him operate on my dog.

I’ve been going to Dr Sammarco for several years. I had a broken ankle, that was not set correctly, and the pain got progressively worse until I finally couldn’t walk without excruciating pain. I investigated different Doctors and Dr Sammarco had the best reviews and overall ratings. I had shots and an operation to take out the hardware from the broken ankle surgery. This worked for awhile. Finally Dr Sammarco suggested an ankle replacement. I was afraid to have this done but a replacement was my only option. I can honestly say this was the best decision I have ever made. Dr Sammarco did an excellent job. He didn’t rush my recovery and I can now walk miles without any pain. I have had no problems with the ankle at all. I would definitely recommend Dr Sammarco to anyone having foot or ankle problems.

I searched for a doctor about a place I had on my heel the size of a gum ball, I’ve had for years and no one knew what it was till I went to him. A week before my surgery I completely tore it and thank goodness I was in a larger city cause I now have a cadaver, wouldn’t have had one here in my small town. My recovery has been excellent and I had the other one done 2 years later it’s been 6 years since this surgery. I have sent many of my friends to him and they feel the same way about him as I do. He is very knowledgeable and serious about his work. Highly recommend doctor Sammarco!!!

Dr. Sam Marco performed a major surgery on my right ankle and another surgery on my left ankle. I wouldn’t go to any other doctor for my ankles! I drove from Versailles because 2 orthopedic doctors referred him and didn’t want anything to do with my ankle issues.

I saw Dr. Sammarco for a bunion. My initial appointment was extremely thorough. Dr. Sammarco explained what the surgery would entail, including the pain. He gave me options to consider that was not surgery. I really appreciated this. I read reviews that were written about Dr. Sammarco and I was comfortable in my choice to choose him to do surgery on my foot. I read the 1-star reviews and they had nothing to do with how he is with surgery. Long wait times, late surgery times, and rude receptionists are unfortunately a part of life. I would allow a precise, dedicated, smart doctor work on my foot even with these negative points. I must say, I did not deal with this when I saw Dr. Sammarco. His staff was amazing and just as dedicated as he is. His surgery team at Jewish was top notch!! I would give him 10 stars if I could!

I saw Dr Sammarco for bone spurs at the base of my big toe. Very painful. He took his time explaining my options. He injected a steroid in my toe. I am feeling better already!

I was only given options of a fused ankle by several surgeons. After meeting with Dr. Sammarco, he said he could likely do ankle reconstruction. He explained in detail what he would do. Initially, I thought Dr. Sammarco was a little cold in his bedside manner, but that improved alot over time. I may never run a marathon, but I can walk 18 holes every week and run on my elliptical machine thanks to Dr Sammarco. I would say he is the best ankle surgeon in the Cincinnati area.

I have been going to Dr Sammarco for about six years. He has performed two operations on my ankle; the first to correct a batched surgery on my broken ankle performed by another surgeon and the second just recently for an ankle replacement due to arthritis caused by the broken ankle. I walk pain free. I highly recommend Dr Sammarco for any foot or ankle problems. He is great!

I honestly feel like I owe my ability to walk to Dr. Sammarco! I came to his office for a second opinion after I had already had two repairs on my Achilles. I could clearly tell that something was wrong with my Achilles, but the doctor I previously had was not confident enough to take appropriate action. It turns out I had a terrible infection and if I had stayed with my previous doctor it could have completely destroyed my tendon. As soon as I saw Dr. Sammarco, he knew exactly what was wrong and got me on a path to healing. He was straightforward through the whole process and I can now walk as easily as before my injury.

Dr. Sammarco is a great doctor. My young daughter had two surgeries with him and I am about to have my second with him also. He is very knowledgeable and I completely trust his medical recommendations. He listens to understand and he is very thorough in diagnostics. He takes time to explain and answer any questions you have. Although appointments with him involves a lot of waiting. He is definitely worth that wait. He does not try to rush any appointment.

He did surgery to fix my ankle after I fell off of a wall, It is now healed and I am back to work. Healing was as expected and I have no complaints. He spent a lot of time with my wife and I early on to help us with the injury and I really appreciate that.

I've had problems with my Achilles tendon for years. Treatments recommended by therapists and other doctors didn't help. This doctor got it right. Recovery from the procedure was lengthy, but I can now get back to my passions... fishing and golf!

I am 58 years old and have been suffering with painful, collapsed ankles my whole life. A few years ago, it got so bad I just stopped going out at all. A friend from church recommended I see Dr. Sammarco. My first visit he took X-Rays and showed them to me. We just talked for quite a while about what was wrong and what could be done to make me better. One foot just needed an orthotic, but the other required a complex surgery. The surgery went well and healed as expected. That ankle is now great. I had forgotten what it felt like to be pain free. His staff is attentive and my experience was that everyone caring for me was personally involved. You cannot find better care in orthopedics.

Dr. Sammarco ruined my ankle and to this day I have no stability. In my last surgery he cut the stitching out that he put in place to secure my ankle. His suggestion was to fuse my ankle. The physical therapist kindly suggested I go see another specialist who will be operating to repair the mess Dr. Sammarco created with my ankle. He is very often late even when you are the first patient and wants to rush out thee door. I have never been so disappointed in the care that I have received. Not often will you have a therapist or another doctor suggest or make a comment about a doctors performance but in my case they did.

Dr Sammarco and his staff are fantastic. I had surgery by another surgeon and had disastrous results. Read great reviews on this surgeon and booked an appointment. He reoperated and I am so glad I went to him.

Dr. saved me from another wrong treatment when he diagnosed my foot problem. Walking around now with no foot problem.
