Dr. Duffy and his staff are caring and professional.I would definitely recommend them.I've overcome major depression with their help.Thank you so much.

I became a patient at Dr. Duffy's office after a 10 day psyche hospitalization. I only saw members of his staff for 5 months before ever meeting the doctor. As other reviews noted, all he cares about is expensive testing and pushing meds without getting to know the patient at all. After getting worse by the day, I switched doctors. Thank God! He took me off a strong medication Duffy had me on, and I began to improve within a week. This fraud should not be allowed to practice medicine!!! I have spoken to other members of the psychiatric community who say they would never refer a patient to Duffy! Stay away from this awful doctor!

Dr.walter duffy left me on xanax for almost 16 years!!i didnt know at the time that xanax was only used for short term, 3 to 4 months!!!i was addicted!!!this addiction ruined my life.i lost my husband and kids.i become a felon.i had never been in trouble criminally in my 53 years of life!!i warn u do not go to dr.duffy for anything!!

Do NOT go here! Their #1 priority is profit . . . not you. You will likely see someone different every time you go in. Dr. Duffy will then persuade you into every expensive test they have to offer (and even charge you $50 to put a swab in an envelope and mail it). They will then use those results, rather than establish a healthy rapport with you, to determine which prescriptions they will give you. I almost lost a daughter because of it. TRUST ME: go somewhere else!

Don’t go to Dr Duffy! He will come in for a minute and want to prescribe you Adderall! He’s a pill pusher for adults and children. I wonder if it’s because he has a pharmacy on site? Stay as far away from him as you can!

Highly recommend Dr. Duffy! The staff is very nice and friendly.

I saw Dr.Duffy in Lincoln for approx. 4 years. I was making payments on my account, and then suddenly they denied refills on my antidepressant because I had a balance in the office. I explained I could not pay in full, and could continue making payments. At the time, I was taking Trintellix and it took me months to get used to it. I left SEVERAL messages for Dr.Duffy as well as his nurse begging them to just refill my antidepressant until I could establish care elsewhere. No one ever returned my phone calls. I then had to go off of this medication cold turkey which is very dangerous. I ended up getting very sick, and in the ER with low potassium from vomiting so much. I wrote a review on their facebook page, and it was deleted. He clearly does not care about the well being of his patients, most of whom are very vulnerable.

Dr. Duffy is a very intelligent man and exudes confidence in his profession. I was impressed with his knowledge and his advanced practices in the psychology field.

Dr. Duffy always swoops in on office days, asks a few questions, tips his head to the side, and assures me, "you're gonna work threw this....we're here to help. Do you trust us?" I found this very reassuring. I'm "not out of the woods yet, but I do trust Dr. Duffy....

Never had seen anyone for my problems and was referred to Dr. Duffy by a family member. He knows what he is doing for sure. Super nice guy and you can tell he wants to get to the root of your problems and help you. Highly recommended.

If you think you're going to actually see Dr. Duffy, you are likely mistaken. We drove an hour to see him and we never even met him. On our first appointment, the assistant we were assigned was putting in his last day. We will not be going back and will be filing a complaint with our insurer.

Dr. Duffy and his staff do not care about the wellbeing of their patients.

I have taken my son to Dr. Duffy, and both times we visited (about a week apart) we were asked the same demographic questions. The focus was mostly from a medical point of view. we talked mostly the medication my son was on. I was hoping to talk about medication AND behavior therapy. Spent very little time with Dr. Duffy. He stepped in only to read answers I had given to assistants. I am not impressed after two visits. I will be looking for a psychologist before our next appointment. JI am also looking for a new psychiatrist. Wait time to visit with assistants and Dr. Duffy was not long, but neither was the time they spent with us.

I suffer from depression I went here because I had no interest in anything. The first day I went they streamlined me to get approved for TMS (which was going to cost 5,000 out of pocket even with my United healthcare) and did a dna swap to check what medicine worked best with my body. They didn't know how much it cost but told me it wasn't covered by insurance. I called the outside lab that day and it would cost around $2,000. I immediately called premier and told them to throw away the sample, I absolutely did not want it. They ended up holding onto the sample and sending it two weeks later because they didn't know what I wanted even though I told them explicitly not to. (One of their ppl Katie b. admitted the huge wrong and if I get a bill she said their office would take care of it) Dr. Duffy put me on two medications. On the third visit I came in as an emergency. I was crying uncontrollably, couldn't sleep and was very angry and didn't know why. I told him I felt like I had tightness in my chest and it was hard to take deep breaths. He told me I had anxiety and He put me on a third medicine to "get me by". I said I wanted to see a counselor, I felt I needed it. It's been 8 days and no one has called me. I called them on Thursday and was promised a call back Friday and that didn't happen. I started to do research myself on the medicine he gave me....some SERIOUS side effects are anxiety, shortness of breath, anger, and mood swings. He left me on this and just gave me another medication for bipolar depression and NEVER told me when to come back....no follow up after exhibiting TONS of serious side effect symptoms. I could have hurt myself, lost my job or had a heart attack because of this medicine.

So upset. I told him I didn't want meds, to which he replied "I know, take these pills at bedtime......" He wasn't even in the room for 5 minutes. Totally disregarded anything I said. Spent the entire time typing on his computer. What a waste of time and energy. Gave me no help whatsoever.

Nicest man and best Doctor ever and he gets me!

As a parent, I was referred to Dr Duffy years ago and was made to believe he was the only option in Lincoln. We rarely got to see Dr Duffy himself, but were given a wide variety of students who would come in to see us. I'm sorry, but if I'm paying astronomical fees for this and they are putting my child on mind altering drugs, I should get to see THE DOCTOR! We spent a decade and a small fortune going in for these five minute appointments while the staff stared at a computer and put my son on dozens of meds to "try them out". We eventually took him off meds all together because of the horrible side effects. Now that he has turned 18, he has asked to go back on meds to help him concentrate for college. I am willing to drive to Omaha to seek other care. :(
