Dr. Ellen Lin, MD

My first visit with Dr. Lin went very well she was extremely knowledge about my condition and recommend several ways to treat me. She made times for me to ask questions and provided answers in ways that were clear and understandable. I immediately felt comfortable with her and her caring nature. I look forward to continuing my journey to a healthy recovery with Dr.Lin and would highly recommend her to others.

Great doctor gets you better and then sends you a letter she wont care for you anymore and doesnt have the gaul to tell you why and instructs her staff to also keep it a secret .then your refills are taken back so she makes you go off of them Cold Turkey..and because she wont see me no other pain mgmt will see me. Not only after 3 weeks and still in withdrawals some but imagine the pain rebound with fibromyalgia and some acute pain also...I dont see how she sleeps at night. As my mom would say "you should be ashamed of yourself "...

the staff don't answer the phone, i was on there 30 min. and they never did. it makes you made waiting, then when they do answer you get put on hold. they need more training on this

Dr. Lin, Do not be fooled by all the rewards on the office walls. Dr. Lin's bed side mannerisms are very dismissive, abrupt, and quick to provide different diagnoses without proper examination of said diagnose. If her perceived treatment does not follow into a "cookie cutter" plan then she will easily withdraw her involvement with trying to problem solve the root of a patient's pain. This reckless fashion of medical treatment particularly when working with patient who has well documented chronic pain issues clearly has high potential to bring serious consequences to a patient. The facility is not sterile for the type of procedures she is performing. She prescribes strong pain medications but again when you don't fit into cookie cutter. She will drop you like a hot potato. She is very irresponsibly with pain medication especially when she tells you, she can't help you. I have supported documentations on my statement. I switched to different pain management doctor and everything Dr. Lin said she could not do my new pain management Doctor has done. She cause a lot of pain to me. Best advice, research and compare.

Dr. Lin is fantastic, however, the office is very poorly run. It is impossible to get a live human to answer the phone and messages are not returned in a timely manner. As for the patient portal, messages are also not returned or answered 3 to 4 weeks later! My latest appointment wait time was over 4 hours then I saw the doctor for less then 5 minutes! Dr. Lin is a caring, compassionate physician but changes must be made to improve customer service! Yes, patients are your customers!

Dr. Lin has been my pain management specialit for several years. I have the highest praise for her and her staff. I have always been treated with respect and dignity.

Dr. Lin has been a blessing to my husband. He could barely walk when we first saw her. He played 18 holes of golf yesterday. She listens to her patients and treats each person as an individual.

Unfortunately, I can honestly say that this is the worst doctor I have ever seen. Maybe she saw me as being beneath her, maybe she is burned out, I just don't know but I certainly didn't see the kind, Dr. Jekyll side of her. I found Dr. Lin to be uncaring, dismissive of any opinion but her own, insensitive, with zero respect for my wait time. But the worst part was her inaccurate diagnosis and pushing of surgery I did not need to resort to having.

Very unprofessional when it comes to keeping appointments. Always trying to reschedule for her convenenience.

If you are thinking of a pain management doctor I would highly recommend this practice 100%. A+++++++++

After making three attempts to contact Dr. Lin's assistant to cancel some nerve ablation appointments, which they were aware may happen due to some complex foot surgery I was waiting to hear back from my orthopedic surgeons office for the surgery date (in another state). I never received a call back; staff answering phone calls were totally disinterested and I doubt they even took down my request for a call back and I also left voice mails on Dr. Lin's assistant's voice mail box. When I still didn't hear back I sent a letter well over 10 days before the first scheduled procedure. Today we received a bill with a no show charge, which we are not going to pay. I also tried to get a refill called in to take with me to Baltimore, MD since I was not sure if I would be in Baltimore for the surgery two to four weeks or more and did not have enough of the medication Dr. Lin prescribed (not a narcotic). My Internist had to call in a refill for me.

I credit Dr. Ellen Lin with practically saving my life with a quick diagnosis of my medical problems and the pain I was experiencing. She is one of the best doctors I have ever been too. I would highly recommend Dr. Lin to anyone who is in pain and needs treatment from a caring doctor who will listen to your concerns. Dr. Lin also does not make you feel hurried during the visit, which I appreciate. The problem with her office is the supporting staff she has, who, have no regard for completing paperwork in a timely manner and seem confused and very rude when you are attempting to explain what you need for insurance, etc. I even had a person on the phone tell me that I could not be prescribed medicines because I had tested negative for whatever on a urine test. I am not a doctor but was a nurse for 12 years and do not recall being allowed to tell a patient information like that on the telephone. I feel as though I am a number in a long line of paperwork without anyone reading deadline dates for insurance companies and the like. I am frequently put on hold for 10 minutes or more. Realizing that I am not the only patient the doctor has I could forgive the occassional slip up, but when it comes to paperwork, please do not be surprised if you on the phone constantly inquiring about the status. I have begun making appointments so that the doctor can fill the paperwork out which I then carry out with me and fax it myself to the insurance company to meet deadlines.

My over all experience with Dr Ellen Lin and her staff, was outstanding. I liked her professionalism,courteous and caring manner. She made me feel as if I was her only patient.She didn't make me feel as if I was just a number. Her intelligence in her expertise was beyond all my expectations.I would highly recommend Dr Ellen Lin or anyone in her practice. There was not one thing I disliked. Dr Ellen Lin provided follow up care after I had open heart surgery. The service provided was truly exceptional simply because she cared about her patients. I was referred to Dr. Lin by my doctors and should you need care following a life changing surgery you will experience a service not typical in the profession in today's world of medicine.

I have had chronic back pain for many years. I have had many doctors who told me that there is nothing that they can do for me until I saw Dr. Lin. She implanted a stimulator in my spine and I have been enjoying my life so much more and doing more things with my friend and family. She is caring and spends time to listen to my problems and even other unrelated problems. I have send many of my friends and family to her to be helped. Thank you Dr. Lin.
